< Hebrews 5 >
1 For every high priest, being taken from among people, is appointed for people in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
ⲁ̅ⲀⲢⲬⲎⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲦⲞⲨϬⲒ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϨⲒⲦⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ⲈϢⲀⲨⲦⲀϨⲞϤ ⲈⲢⲀⲦϤ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲢⲰⲘⲒ ϦⲀⲦⲈⲚ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ϨⲒⲚⲀ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲈⲚ ⲆⲰⲢⲞⲚ ⲚⲈⲘ ϢⲞⲨϢⲰⲞⲨϢⲒ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲒⲚⲞⲂⲒ.
2 The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
ⲃ̅ⲈⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈϢⲈⲠⲘⲔⲀϨ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲒ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲚⲒⲀⲦⲈⲘⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲤⲰⲢⲈⲘ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞϤ ϨⲰϤ ϤⲬⲎ ϦⲈⲚⲞⲨϢⲰⲚⲒ.
3 Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦϤ ⲤⲈⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲚⲀϤ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈϢⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲀ ⲠⲒⲖⲀⲞⲤ ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰϤ ⲚⲦⲈϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϪⲈⲚ ⲚⲈϤⲚⲞⲂⲒ ⲘⲘⲒⲚ ⲘⲘⲞϤ.
4 Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
ⲇ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲘⲠⲀⲢⲈ ⲞⲨⲀⲒ ϬⲒ ⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲠⲒⲦⲀⲒⲞ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲀϤⲐⲰϨⲈⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲚϪⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲚⲀⲀⲢⲰⲚ.
5 So also Messiah did not glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father."
ⲉ̅ⲠⲀⲒⲢⲎϮ ϨⲰϤ ⲠⲬⲢⲒⲤⲦⲞⲤ ⲚⲈⲦⲀϤϮⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲀϤ ⲘⲘⲀⲨⲀⲦϤ ⲀⲚ ⲈⲐⲢⲈϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈϤⲞⲒ ⲚⲀⲢⲬⲎⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ⲀⲖⲖⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲈⲘⲀϤ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲀϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲀⲚⲞⲔ ⲀⲒϪⲪⲞⲔ ⲘⲪⲞⲞⲨ.
6 As he says also in another place, "You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek." (aiōn )
ⲋ̅ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲪⲢⲎϮ ⲈⲦⲈϤϪⲰ ⲘⲘⲞⲤ ϦⲈⲚⲔⲈⲘⲀ ϪⲈ ⲚⲐⲞⲔ ⲠⲈ ⲪⲞⲨⲎⲂ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲦⲦⲀⲜⲒⲤ ⲘⲘⲈⲖⲬⲒⲤⲈⲆⲈⲔ. (aiōn )
7 In the days of his flesh, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.
ⲍ̅ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲀϤⲒⲚⲒ ⲈϨⲢⲎⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲈϨⲞⲞⲨ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲈϤⲤⲀⲢⲜ ⲚϨⲀⲚⲦⲰⲂϨ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚϮϨⲞ ϨⲀ ⲪⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ϢϪⲞⲘ ⲘⲘⲞϤ ⲈⲚⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲪⲘⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲞⲨϦⲢⲰⲞⲨ ⲈϤϪⲞⲢ ⲚⲈⲘ ϨⲀⲚⲈⲢⲘⲰⲞⲨⲒ ⲈⲀϤⲈⲚⲞⲨ ⲈϦⲞⲨⲚ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲦϨⲞϮ.
8 Although he was a Son, he learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
ⲏ̅ⲔⲈⲠⲈⲢ ⲈⲞⲨϢⲎⲢⲒ ⲠⲈ ⲀϤⲈⲘⲒ ⲈϮⲘⲈⲦⲢⲈϤⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲒⲘⲔⲀⲨϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϬⲒⲦⲞⲨ.
9 Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of everlasting salvation, (aiōnios )
ⲑ̅ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲈⲦⲀϤϪⲰⲔ ⲈⲂⲞⲖ ⲀϤϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲚⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲚⲀⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ ⲚⲤⲰϤ ⲚⲞⲨⲖⲰⲒϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲞⲨⲞⲨϪⲀⲒ ⲚⲈⲚⲈϨ. (aiōnios )
10 named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
ⲓ̅ⲈⲀ ⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲘⲞⲨϮ ⲈⲢⲞϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲬⲎⲈⲢⲈⲨⲤ ϢⲀ ⲈⲚⲈϨ ⲔⲀⲦⲀ ⲦⲦⲀⲜⲒⲤ ⲘⲘⲈⲖⲬⲒⲤⲈⲆⲈⲔ.
11 About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
ⲓ̅ⲁ̅ⲪⲀⲒ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲎⲦϤ ⲞⲨⲚⲒϢϮ ⲚⲀⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲠⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ϤⲘⲞⲔϨ ⲚⲞⲨⲀϨⲘⲈϤ ϪⲈ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲚⲒ ϦⲈⲚⲚⲈⲦⲈⲚⲤⲰⲦⲈⲘ.
12 For when by reason of the time you ought to be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, not solid food.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲔⲈ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲀⲤⲘⲠϢⲀ ⲚⲰⲦⲈⲚ ⲠⲈ ⲈⲈⲢⲢⲈϤϮ ⲤⲂⲰ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲠⲒⲬⲢⲞⲚⲞⲤ ⲠⲀⲖⲒⲚ ⲞⲚ ⲦⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲬⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲦⲤⲀⲂⲈ ⲐⲎⲚⲞⲨ ϪⲈ ⲞⲨ ⲚⲈⲚⲒⲤⲦⲞⲒⲬⲒⲞⲚ ⲚⲦⲈⲦⲀⲢⲬⲎ ⲚⲚⲒⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈⲪⲚⲞⲨϮ ⲞⲨⲞϨ ⲀⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚϢⲰⲠⲒ ⲈⲢⲈⲦⲈⲚⲈⲢⲬⲢⲒⲀ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲢⲰϮ ⲚⲞⲨϦⲢⲈ ⲈⲤϪⲞⲢ ⲀⲚ.
13 For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
ⲓ̅ⲅ̅ⲞⲨⲞⲚ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲚⲒⲂⲈⲚ ⲈⲐⲞⲨⲈⲘ ⲈⲢⲰϮ ⲚϤϦⲈⲦϦⲰⲦ ⲀⲚ ϦⲈⲚⲠⲤⲀϪⲒ ⲚⲦⲈϮⲘⲈⲐⲘⲎⲒ ⲞⲨⲀⲖⲞⲨ ⲄⲀⲢ ⲠⲈ.
14 But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅ϮϦⲢⲈ ⲆⲈ ⲈⲦϪⲞⲢ ⲐⲀ ⲚⲒⲦⲈⲖⲒⲞⲤ ⲦⲈ ⲚⲎ ⲈⲦⲈ ⲈⲐⲂⲈ ⲦⲞⲨϨⲈⲜⲒⲤ ⲞⲨⲞⲚⲦⲰⲞⲨ ⲚⲞⲨⲈⲤⲐⲎ ⲦⲎⲢⲒⲞⲚ ⲈⲨϦⲈⲦϦⲰⲦ ⲚϦⲎⲦⲞⲨ ⲈⲠϪⲒⲚⲈⲘⲒ ⲈⲠϢⲒⲂϮ ⲘⲠⲒⲠⲈⲐⲚⲀⲚⲈϤ ⲚⲈⲘ ⲠⲒⲠⲈⲦϨⲰⲞⲨ.
