Hebrews 10
1 For the Law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.
| ܢܡܘܤܐ ܓܝܪ ܛܠܢܝܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܗ ܕܛܒܬܐ ܕܥܬܝܕܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܩܢܘܡܐ ܕܝܠܗܝܢ ܕܨܒܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܟܕ ܒܟܠ ܫܢܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܟܕ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܒܚܐ ܡܬܩܪܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܐ ܡܡܬܘ ܐܫܟܚܘ ܕܢܓܡܪܘܢ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܠܗܘܢ |
2 Or else would not they have ceased to be offered, because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?
| ܐܠܘ ܓܝܪ ܓܡܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܟܒܪ ܕܝܢ ܐܬܬܢܝܚܘ ܡܢ ܩܘܪܒܢܝܗܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܠܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܛܪܝܐ ܗܘܬ ܠܗܘܢ ܬܐܪܬܗܘܢ ܒܚܛܗܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܕܐ ܙܒܢ ܐܬܕܟܝܘ ܠܗܘܢ |
3 But in those sacrifices there is yearly reminder of sins.
| ܐܠܐ ܒܗܘܢ ܒܕܒܚܐ ܡܕܟܪܝܢ ܚܛܗܝܗܘܢ ܒܟܠ ܫܢܐ |
4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
| ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܡܫܟܚ ܕܡܐ ܕܬܘܪܐ ܘܕܨܦܪܝܐ ܠܡܕܟܝܘ ܚܛܗܐ |
5 Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me.
| ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܟܕ ܥܐܠ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܐܡܪ ܒܕܒܚܐ ܘܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܠܐ ܨܒܝܬ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܠܒܫܬܢܝ |
6 Whole burnt offerings and sin-offerings you took no pleasure in.
| ܘܝܩܕܐ ܫܠܡܐ ܕܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ ܠܐ ܫܐܠܬ |
7 Then I said, 'Look, I have come. It is written about me in the scroll of a book; to do your will, God.'"
| ܗܝܕܝܢ ܐܡܪܬ ܕܗܐ ܐܢܐ ܐܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܒܪܝܫ ܟܬܒܐ ܟܬܝܒ ܥܠܝ ܕܐܥܒܕ ܨܒܝܢܟ ܐܠܗܐ |
8 Previously saying, "Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sin-offerings you did not desire, nor took pleasure in" (which are offered according to the Law),
| ܡܢ ܠܥܠ ܐܡܪ ܕܕܒܚܐ ܘܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܘܝܩܕܐ ܫܠܡܐ ܕܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ ܠܐ ܨܒܝܬ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܡܬܩܪܒܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܢܡܘܤܐ |
9 then he said, "Look, I have come to do your will." He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,
| ܘܒܬܪܗ ܐܡܪ ܕܗܐ ܐܬܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܥܒܕ ܨܒܝܢܟ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܗܕܐ ܒܛܠ ܠܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܢܩܝܡ ܠܕܬܪܬܝܢ |
10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus (the) Messiah once for all.
| ܒܗܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܐܬܩܕܫܢ ܒܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܦܓܪܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܚܕܐ ܙܒܢ |
11 Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and often offering the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins,
| ܟܠ ܪܒ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܩܐܡ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܫܡܫ ܟܠܝܘܡ ܗܢܘܢ ܒܗܢܘܢ ܕܒܚܐ ܡܩܪܒ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܡܬܘܡ ܠܐ ܡܫܟܚܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܠܡܕܟܝܘ ܚܛܗܐ |
12 but this one, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
| ܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܚܕ ܕܒܚܐ ܩܪܒ ܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ ܘܝܬܒ ܥܠ ܝܡܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܥܠܡ |
13 from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet.
| ܘܡܩܘܐ ܡܟܝܠ ܥܕܡܐ ܕܢܬܬܤܝܡܘܢ ܒܥܠܕܒܒܘܗܝ ܟܘܒܫܐ ܬܚܝܬ ܪܓܠܘܗܝ |
14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
| ܒܚܕ ܓܝܪ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܓܡܪ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܬܩܕܫܝܢ ܒܗ ܠܥܠܡ |
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying,
| ܤܗܕܐ ܠܢ ܕܝܢ ܐܦ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܐܡܪܬ |
16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them: 'After those days,' says the Lord, 'I will put my laws on their hearts, I will also write them on their minds.'"
| ܗܕܐ ܗܝ ܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܐܬܠ ܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܝܘܡܬܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܐܡܪ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܬܠܝܘܗܝ ܠܢܡܘܤܝ ܒܡܕܥܝܗܘܢ ܘܥܠ ܠܒܘܬܗܘܢ ܐܟܬܒܝܘܗܝ |
17 "And I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more."
| ܘܥܘܠܗܘܢ ܘܚܛܗܝܗܘܢ ܠܐ ܐܬܕܟܪ ܠܗܘܢ |
18 Now where forgiveness of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
| ܐܝܟܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܫܘܒܩܢܐ ܕܚܛܗܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܒܥܐ ܩܘܪܒܢܐ ܕܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ |
19 Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
| ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܚܝ ܓܠܝܘܬ ܐܦܐ ܒܡܥܠܢܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܩܘܕܫܐ ܒܕܡܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ |
20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the curtain, that is to say, his flesh;
| ܘܐܘܪܚܐ ܕܚܝܐ ܕܚܕܬ ܠܢ ܗܫܐ ܒܐܦܝ ܬܪܥܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܤܪܗ |
21 and having a great priest over the house of God,
| ܘܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܟܘܡܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܥܠ ܒܝܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ |
22 let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and having our body washed with pure water,
| ܢܩܪܘܒ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܠܒܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܘܒܬܘܟܠܢܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܟܕ ܪܤܝܤܝܢ ܠܒܘܬܢ ܘܕܟܝܢ ܡܢ ܬܐܪܬܐ ܒܝܫܬܐ ܘܡܤܚܝ ܦܓܪܢ ܒܡܝܐ ܕܟܝܐ |
23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
| ܘܢܚܡܤܢ ܒܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܕܤܒܪܢ ܘܠܐ ܢܨܛܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܡܢ ܕܡܠܟ ܠܢ |
24 Let us consider how to motivate one another to love and good works,
| ܘܢܚܘܪ ܚܕ ܒܚܕ ܒܓܘܪܓܐ ܕܚܘܒܐ ܘܕܥܒܕܐ ܛܒܐ |
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
| ܘܠܐ ܢܗܘܐ ܫܒܩܝܢ ܟܢܘܫܝܢ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܝܬ ܥܝܕܐ ܠܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܐܠܐ ܒܥܘ ܚܕ ܡܢ ܚܕ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܟܡܐ ܕܚܙܝܬܘܢ ܕܩܪܒ ܝܘܡܐ ܗܘ |
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,
| ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܨܒܝܢܗ ܢܚܛܐ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܕܩܒܠ ܝܕܥܬܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܡܟܝܠ ܕܒܚܬܐ ܕܬܬܩܪܒ ܚܠܦ ܚܛܗܐ |
27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.
| ܐܠܐ ܥܬܝܕ ܗܘ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܐ ܘܛܢܢܐ ܕܢܘܪܐ ܕܐܟܠ ܠܒܥܠܕܒܒܐ |
28 Anyone who disregards the Law of Moses dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.
| ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܥܒܪ ܥܠ ܢܡܘܤܐ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܥܠ ܦܘܡ ܬܪܝܢ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܤܗܕܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܪܚܡܝܢ ܡܐܬ |
29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
| ܟܡܐ ܤܒܪܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܡܤܡ ܒܪܫܐ ܢܩܒܠ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܕܫܗ ܠܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܚܫܒ ܕܡܐ ܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܐܝܟ ܕܟܠܢܫ ܕܒܗ ܐܬܩܕܫ ܘܨܥܪ ܠܪܘܚܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܐ |
30 For we know him who said, "Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay." Again, "The Lord will judge his people."
| ܝܕܥܝܢܢ ܠܗܘ ܕܐܡܪ ܕܕܝܠܝ ܗܝ ܬܒܥܬܐ ܘܐܢܐ ܐܦܪܘܥ ܘܬܘܒ ܕܢܕܘܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܥܡܗ |
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
| ܕܚܠܬܐ ܗܝ ܪܒܬܐ ܠܡܦܠ ܒܐܝܕܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܚܝܐ |
32 But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings;
| ܐܬܕܟܪܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܠܝܘܡܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܒܗܘܢ ܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܥܡܘܕܝܬܐ ܘܐܓܘܢܐ ܪܒܐ ܤܝܒܪܬܘܢ ܕܚܫܐ ܒܚܤܕܐ ܘܒܐܘܠܨܢܐ |
33 partly, being exposed to insults and abuse in public, and sometimes you came to share with others who were treated in the same way.
| ܘܕܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܚܙܘܢܐ ܘܐܦ ܐܫܬܘܬܦܬܘܢ ܠܐܢܫܐ ܕܗܠܝܢ ܤܝܒܪܘ |
34 For you both had compassion on them that were in chains, and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, since you knew that you yourselves had a better possession and an enduring one.
| ܘܟܐܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܤܝܪܝܢ ܘܚܛܘܦܝܐ ܕܢܟܤܝܟܘܢ ܒܚܕܘܬܐ ܤܝܒܪܬܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܩܢܝܢܐ ܒܫܡܝܐ ܕܡܝܬܪ ܗܘ ܘܠܐ ܥܒܪ |
35 Therefore do not throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.
| ܠܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܘܒܕܘܢ ܓܠܝܘܬ ܐܦܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܥܬܝܕ ܠܗ ܐܓܪܐ ܤܓܝܐܐ |
36 For you need patient endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
| ܡܤܝܒܪܢܘܬܐ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܡܬܒܥܝܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܬܥܒܕܘܢ ܨܒܝܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܘܬܤܒܘܢ ܡܘܠܟܢܐ |
37 "For in just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.
| ܡܛܠ ܕܩܠܝܠ ܗܘ ܙܒܢܐ ܘܛܒ ܙܥܘܪ ܕܢܐܬܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܬܐ ܘܠܐ ܢܘܚܪ |
38 But the righteous will live by faith, and if he holds back, my soul has no pleasure in him."
| ܟܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܝܠܝ ܢܚܐ ܘܐܢ ܡܬܩܛܥܐ ܠܗ ܠܐ ܨܒܝܐ ܒܗ ܢܦܫܝ |
39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.
| ܚܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܗܘܝܢ ܕܩܘܛܥܐ ܕܡܘܒܠܐ ܠܐܒܕܢܐ ܐܠܐ ܕܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܡܩܢܝܐ ܠܢ ܢܦܫܢ |
