< Habakkuk 1 >

1 The oracle which Habakkuk the prophet saw.
Hiche hi Habakkuk themgaovin thilmu aneina thudol ahi.
2 LORD, how long will I cry, and you will not hear? I cry out to you "Violence." and will you not save?
Vo PAKAI, itihchan geija panpi ngaichaa kakou kou di hitam? Hinla nangin nei ngaipeh poi! “Muntina nosopma kibolna aum tai!” Ka kap in, hinla eipanhu dingin na hungpoi.
3 Why do you show me iniquity, and look at perversity? For destruction and violence are before me. There is strife, and contention rises up.
Hiche gitlou kibol hohi kavet vet jing ding hitam? Hiche gim gentheina ho jouse hi ibol’a kavet vet jeng ding ham? Keiman kavet chanin mahthahna le nosopma kibolna hobou ka mudoh’e. Mi nelkal hat ho leh kinahpia hat mihonpi chun eihin umkimvel tauve.
4 Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never goes forth; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice goes forth perverted.
Dan hi donlou tobangbep chu ahitai, chule thutanna munho’a jong thudih umtalou ahi. Migilou ho chun midih ho sanga gamchenga atamjoh jeh-uvin, thudih chu heikoija um bepma ahitai.
5 "Look, you scoffers, and watch, and be utterly amazed, and perish; for I am working a work in your days which you will not believe, though it is told you.
Pakai chun adonbut in, “Chitin namtin ho khu gahven chuleh kidangsa temin! Ajeh chu keiman nangma nikho laiya hi thilkhat kahin boldoh ding, mi koiham khattouvin seijongleh na tahsan louhel ding chu kahinbol ding ahije.
6 For, look, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, that march through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling places not his own.
Keiman Babylon mite ho, giloutah le nosopma mibol ho chu ka hin tundoh ding ahi. Amahon vannoi muntin apaltan’uva kijotle ding’u chule gam dang tampi ahinjo dingu ahi.
7 He is feared and dreaded. His judgment will be from himself, and his authority will come from himself.
Amaho hi gitlou abol nauva engsetah’a chonna ahiuvin, chutia abolnom chengseu chu abol’u ahi.
8 His horses also are swifter than leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves. And their horsemen press proudly on, and, their horsemen come from afar. They fly as an eagle that hurries to devour.
Sakol aneihou jong lutnu sangin alhai hatjouvin, khomu chipchep a ngeihon lhakhom sangin jong ahoise jouve. Sakol kangtalaija touho chun gamlataha konin a sakol ho’u chu ahin thunun jeng uvin; Muvanlai lengle hon a anchah’u abokhumuva avallhum jiu kisei tobang ahiuve.
9 All of them come for violence. Their hordes face the desert. He gathers prisoners like sand.
Oh, ahung tauve, abonchauvin nosopma boldin akunsuh tauve. A gancha hon hou jong chu nelphaija hui bangin ahung kitol’un, amasanguva asohchang ho’u ahin masot hou chu neldi tamin atam jeng uvin ahi.
10 And he will scoff at kings and deride rulers. He laughs at every stronghold, for he builds up an earthen ramp, and takes it.
Amahon leng ho le leng chapate ho chu isahlou tah'in abolun, chule akulpi ho jouse chu isah loutahin aboluve.
11 Then he sweeps by like the wind, and goes on. He is indeed guilty, whose strength is his god."
Amaho chu hui nung bangin akitolun chule achemang tauve. Hinla amaho sungil’a themona nei ahiuve, athahat uchu pathena nei ahiuve.”
12 Aren't you from everlasting, LORD my God, my Holy One? We will not die. LORD, you have appointed him for judgment. You, Rock, have established him to punish.
13 You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously, and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,
Nangma hila athenga nahin chule agilou chu n maikoh a umtheilou ahi. Chuti ahileh amaho do’ha joulhepna namitsat ding hijaham? Mi engsete chun asanguva chonphajo avallhumu jongleh thipbeh a naum ding hitam?
14 and make men like the fish of the sea, like the crawling creatures, that have no ruler over them?
Keiho hi ahinga kimandoh dinga le akithat dinga kiman ho tobangbep kahiuvem? Kei ho hi twikhanglen na um ganhing ho lamkai bei tobangbep ka hiuvem?
15 He takes up all of them with the hook, and he catches them in his net and gathers them in his dragnet. Therefore he rejoices and is glad.
Amaho kipanaa le golnop bolna dinguva, ngakoija eiki khaidoh dinga chuleh lensunga ohden bep ding bou kahi dingu hitam?
16 Therefore he sacrifices to his net, and burns incense to his dragnet, because by them his life is luxurious, and his food is good.
Chuteng leh amahon lenthang anei hou chu Pathen tobang'in houvun tin, chuleh amasanguva chun gimnamtwi halna nei uvinte. Amaho chun, “Hiche lenthang pathen hohin keiho eihaodoh sah’u ahi” ati ding’u ahi.
17 Will he therefore continually empty his net, killing the nations without mercy?
Nangman ama ho hi hiti dinmuna hi nasolmangpai pai ding ham? Amaho hi phottohna beihella agaljouva hi i-tiha maipah jing dingu hitam?
