Genesis 49
1 Then Jacob summoned his sons, and said: "Gather yourselves together so that I may tell you what will happen to you in the days to come.
Depois chamou Jacob a seus filhos, e disse: ajuntai-vos, e anunciar-vos-ei o que vos há de acontecer nos derradeiros dias:
2 Assemble yourselves and hear, you sons of Jacob. Listen to Israel, your father.
Ajuntai-vos, e ouvi, filhos de Jacob; e ouvi a Israel vosso pai:
3 Reuben, you are my firstborn, my strength, and the the firstfruits of my virility, preeminent in dignity and preeminent in power.
Ruben, tu és meu primogênito, minha força, e o princípio de meu vigor, o mais excelente em alteza, e o mais excelente em potência.
4 Uncontrolled as the waters, you will not have excel, because you went up to your father's bed, you went up and defiled my couch.
Fervente como a água, não serás o mais excelente; porquanto subiste ao leito de teu pai. Então o contaminaste; subiu à minha cama.
5 Simeon and Levi are brothers. Their swords are weapons of violence.
Simeão e Levi são irmãos: as suas espadas são instrumentos de violência.
6 May I never enter their council. May my honor never be joined with their assembly. For in their anger they killed men, and for pleasure they hamstrung oxen.
No seu secreto conselho não entre minha alma, com a sua congregação minha glória não se ajunte; porque no seu furor mataram varões, e na sua teima arrebataram bois
7 Cursed be their anger, for it has been fierce, and their fury, for it was cruel. I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
Maldito seja o seu furor, pois era forte, e a sua ira, pois era dura: eu os dividirei em Jacob, e os espalharei em Israel.
8 Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the neck of your enemies. Your father's sons will bow down before you.
Judá, te louvarão os teus irmãos; a tua mão será sobre o pescoço de teus inimigos: os filhos de teu pai a ti se inclinarão.
9 Judah is a lion's cub. From the prey, my son, you rise up. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, as a lioness. Who will rouse him up?
Judá é um leãozinho, da preza subiste, filho meu: encurva-se, e deita-se como um leão, e como um leão velho: quem o despertará?
10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. And it is he whom the peoples will obey.
O cetro não se arredará de Judá, nem o legislador dentre seus pés, até que não venha Shiloh; e a ele congregarão os povos
11 Binding his foal to the vine, and his donkey's colt to the choice vine. He will wash his garments in wine, and his robes in the blood of grapes.
Ele amarrará o seu jumentinho à vide, e o filho da sua jumenta à cepa mais excelente: ele lavará o seu vestido no vinho, e a sua capa em sangue de uvas.
12 His eyes will be darker than wine, and his teeth whiter than milk.
Os olhos serão vermelhos de vinho, e os dentes brancos de leite.
13 Zebulun will dwell at the seashore, and he will be a harbor for ships, and his border will be at Sidon.
Zabulon habitará no porto dos mares, e será porto dos navios, e o seu termo será para Sidon.
14 Issachar is a strong donkey lying down between the saddlebags.
Issacar é jumento de fortes ossos, deitado entre dois fardos.
15 When he sees a good resting place, that the land is pleasant, he will bend his back to the burden, and become a slave doing forced labor.
E viu ele que o descanço era bom, e seu ombro para acarretar, e serviu debaixo de tributo.
16 Dan will judge his people as one of the tribes of Israel.
Dan julgará o seu povo, como uma das tribos de Israel.
17 Dan will be a serpent on the road, a viper by the path, that bites the horse's heels so that his rider falls backward.
Dan será serpente junto ao caminho, uma víbora junto à vereda, que morde os calcanhares do cavalo, e faz cair o seu cavaleiro por detrás.
18 I wait for your salvation, God.
A tua salvação espero, ó Senhor!
19 Gad will be attacked by raiders, but he will raid at their heels.
Quanto a Gad, uma tropa o acometerá; mas ele a acometerá por fim.
20 Asher's food will be rich, and he will provide royal delicacies.
De Aser, o seu pão será gordo, e ele dará delícias reais.
21 Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.
Naphtali é uma cerva solta: ele dá palavras formosas.
22 Joseph is a fruitful son, a fruitful son by a spring. His branches run over a wall.
José é um ramo frutifero, ramo frutifero junto à fonte; seus ramos correm sobre o muro.
23 The archers will attack him with bitterness, and shoot at him, and harass him.

24 Yet his bow will remain steady, and his arms will be made agile by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,

25 by the God of your father, who will help you, and El Shaddai, who will bless you with blessings of the sky above, blessings of the deep that lies below, and blessings of the breasts and of the womb.
Pelo Deus de teu pai, o qual te ajudará, e pelo Todo-poderoso, o qual te abençoará com bençãos dos céus de cima, com bençãos do abismo que está debaixo, com bençãos dos peitos e da madre
26 The blessings of your father are greater than the blessings of the ancient mountains, and the bounty of the everlasting hills. They will be on the head of Joseph, and on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
As bençãos de teu pai excederão as bençãos de meus pais, até à extremidade dos outeiros eternos: elas estarão sobre a cabeça de José, e sobre o alto da cabeça do separado de seus irmãos.
27 Benjamin is a ravenous wolf. In the morning he will devour the prey, and at evening he will divide the plunder."
Benjamin é lobo que despedaça; pela manhã comerá a preza, e à tarde repartirá o despojo.
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them. He blessed each one with his own individual blessing.
Todas estas são as doze tribos de Israel: e isto é o que lhes falou seu pai quando os abençoou; a cada um deles abençoou segundo a sua benção.
29 Then he instructed them, and said to them, "I am to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hethite,
Depois ordenou-lhes, e disse-lhes: Eu me congrego ao meu povo; sepultai-me com meus pais, na cova que está no campo de Ephron, o hetheu,
30 in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is near Mamre in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field from Ephron the Hethite as a burial place.
Na cova que está no campo de Machpela, que está em frente de Mamre, na terra de Canaan, a qual Abraão comprou com aquele campo de Ephron, o hetheu, por herança de sepultura:
31 There they buried Abraham and his wife Sarah. There they buried Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and there I buried Leah.
Ali sepultaram a Abraão, e a Sarah sua mulher: ali sepultaram a Isaac, e a Rebeca sua mulher: e ali eu sepultei a Leah.
32 The field and the cave that is in it were purchased from the sons of Heth."
O campo, e a cova que está nele, foi comprado aos filhos de Heth.
33 When Jacob finished instructing his sons, he drew his legs up into the bed and breathed his last, and was gathered to his people.
Acabando pois Jacob de dar mandamentos a seus filhos, encolheu os seu pés na cama, e espirou, e foi congregado ao seu povo.
