< Galatians 2 >
1 Then after a period of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me.
Shure kweizvozvo kwapfuura makore gumi nemana ndakakwirazve kuJerusarema naBhanabhasi, ndikatorawo naTitosi.
2 I went up by revelation, and I explained to them the gospel which I preach among those who are not Jewish, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain.
Zvino ndakakwira nekuzarurirwa, ndokuvarondedzera evhangeri yandinoparidza pakati pevahedheni, asi pachivande kune vakange vachikudzwa, zvimwe ndimhanyire kana ndakamhanyira pasina.
3 But not even Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised.
Asi kunyange Titosi waiva neni, ari muGiriki, haana kurovererwa kuti adzingiswe;
4 This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Messiah Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage;
uye nekuda kwehama dzenhema, vakange vapinzwa pachivande, vakange vapinda nekunyangira kuzoshora kusununguka kwedu kwatinako muna Kristu Jesu, kuti vatiise muuranda;
5 to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
vatisina kutendera nekuzviisa pasi kunyange kweawa; kuti chokwadi cheevhangeri chirambe chigere nemwi.
6 But from those who were reputed to be important (whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows no favoritism between people)—they, I say, who were respected imparted nothing to me,
Asi kune vainzi chinhu (kunyange vaimbova chii hazvirevi chinhu kwandiri; Mwari haagamuchiri chimiro chemunhu), nokuti avo vaikudzwa havana kundiwedzera chinhu;
7 but to the contrary, when they saw that I had been entrusted with the gospel for the uncircumcision, even as Peter with the gospel for the circumcision
asi zvakadaro, vakati vaona kuti evhangeri yevasina kudzingiswa yakakumikidzwa kwandiri, saPetro yevasina kudzingiswa,
8 (for he who appointed Peter to be an apostle of the circumcision appointed me also to the non-Jews);
(nekuti iye wakaita nesimba kuna Petro kuvuapositori hwekudzingiswa, wakaita nesimba nekwandiri kuvahedheni);
9 and when they perceived the grace that was given to me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the non-Jews, and they to the circumcised.
zvino vaziva nyasha dzandakapiwa, vanaJakobho naKefasi naJohwani, vaikudzwa kuva mbiru, vakapa ini naBhanabhasi ruoko rwerudyi rwekudyidzana, kuti isu tiende kuvahedheni, ivowo kune vakadzingiswa;
10 They only asked us to remember the poor—which very thing I was also zealous to do.
chete kuti tirangarire varombo, ichocho chandakashingairirawo kuita.
11 But when Cephas came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned.
Zvino Petro wakati asvika Andiyokiya, ndakamupikisa pachiso, nokuti wakange ane mhosva.
12 For before some people came from James, he ate with those who were not Jewish. But when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision.
Nokuti vamwe vasati vasvika vaibva kuna Jakobho, waidya nevahedheni; asi kana vasvika waisuduruka, achizviraura, achitya vekudzingiswa.
13 And the rest of the Jewish believers joined him in his hypocrisy; so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.
Nevamwewo VaJudha vakanyepedzera pamwe naye, zvekuti Bhanabhasiwo wakatorwa neunyepedzeri hwavo.
14 But when I saw that they did not walk uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas before them all, "If you, being a Jew, live as the non-Jews do, and not as the Jews do, how can you compel the non-Jews to live as the Jews do?
Asi ndakati ndaona kuti havafambi zvakarurama maererano nechokwadi cheevhangeri, ndakati kuna Petro pamberi pevese: Kana iwe uri muJudha, unorarama nemutoo wevahedheni, uye kwete sezvinoita VaJudha, unoroverera sei vahedheni kuti vararame seVaJudha?
15 "We, being Jews by birth, and not non-Jewish sinners,
Isu tiri VaJudha pachisikirwo, uye kwete vatadzi vanobva kuvahedheni,
16 yet knowing that no one is justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus (the) Messiah, even we believed in Messiah Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Messiah, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.
tichiziva kuti munhu haanzi wakarurama nemabasa emurairo, asi nerutendo kuna Jesu Kristu, nesu takatenda kuna Kristu Jesu, kuti tinzi takarurama nerutendo kuna Kristu, uye kwete nemabasa emurairo; nokuti nemabasa emurairo hakuna nyama ichanzi yakarurama.
17 But if, while we sought to be justified in Messiah, we ourselves also were found sinners, is Messiah a servant of sin? Certainly not.
Asi kana isu, tinotsvaka kunzi takarurama kuna Kristu, nesu tomene tiwanikwe tiri vatadzi, naizvozvo Kristu wava mushumiri wechivi here? Ngazvisadaro!
18 For if I build up again those things which I destroyed, I prove myself a law-breaker.
Nokuti kana ndikavakazve izvi zvandakaputsa, ndinozviratidza kuva mudariki.
19 For I, through the law, died to the law, that I might live to God.
Nokuti ini nemurairo ndakafa kumurairo, kuti ndirarame kuna Mwari.
20 I have been crucified with Messiah, and it is no longer I that live, but Messiah living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Ndakarovererwa pamuchinjikwa pamwe naKristu; asi ndinorarama; handisisiri ini, asi Kristu anorarama mandiri; asi zvandinorarama ikozvino panyama, ndinorarama nerutendo rweMwanakomana waMwari, wakandida akazvipa nekuda kwangu.
21 I do not make void the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Messiah died for nothing."
Handishaisi nyasha dzaMwari maturo; nokuti kana kunzi wakarurama kunowanikwa nemurairo, saka Kristu wakafira pasina.
