Ezekiel 1
1 Now it happened in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth of the month, as I was among the captives by the river Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
第三十年四月の五日に我ケバル河の邊にてかの擄うつされたる者の中にをりしに天ひらけて我神の異象を見たり
2 In the fifth of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin's captivity,
是ヱコニヤ王の擄ゆかれしより第五年のその月の五日なりき
3 the word of the LORD came to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD came upon him.
時にカルデヤ人の地に於てケバル河の邊にてヱホバの言祭司ブシの子エゼキエルに臨めりヱホバの手かしこにて彼の上にあり
4 I looked, and look, a stormy wind came out of the north, a great cloud, with flashing lightning, and a brightness around it, and out of its midst as it were glowing metal, out of the midst of the fire.
我見しに視よ烈き風大なる雲および燃る火の團塊北より出きたる又雲の周圍に輝光ありその中よりして火の中より熱たる金族のごときもの出づ
5 Out of its midst came the likeness of four living creatures. This was their appearance: they had the likeness of a man.
其火の中に四箇の生物にて成る一箇の形あり其狀は是のごとし即ち人の象あり
6 And each one had four faces, and each one of them had four wings.
各四の面あり各四の翼あり
7 Their legs were straight, and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf's foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze.
その足は直なる足その足の跖は犢牛の足の跖のごとくにして磨ける銅のごとくに光れり
8 They had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and the four of them had their faces and their wings thus:
その生物の四方に翼の下に人の手ありこの四箇の物皆面と翼あり
9 their wings were joined one to another; they didn't turn when they went; each one went straight forward.
その翼はたがひに相つらなれりその往ときに回轉ずして各その面の向ふところに行く
10 As for the likeness of their faces, they had the face of a man; and the four of them had the face of a lion on the right side; and the four of them had the face of an ox on the left side; the four of them also had the face of an eagle.
その面の形は人の面のごとし四箇の者右には獅子の面あり四箇の者左には牛の面あり又四箇の者鷲の面あり
11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above. Two wings of each one touched another, and two covered their bodies.
その面とその翼は上にて分るその各箇の翼二箇は彼と此と相つらなり二箇はその身を覆ふ
12 Each one went straight forward: where the spirit would go, they went; they didn't turn when they went.
各箇その面の向ふところへ行き靈のゆかんとする方に行く又行にまはることなし
13 And in the midst of the living creatures was an appearance of burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches. The fire went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
その生物の形は爇る炭の火のごとく松明のごとし火生物の中に此彼に行き火輝きてその火の中より電光いづ
14 The living creatures darted back and forth, like the appearance of a flash of lightning.
その生物奔りて電光の如くに往來す
15 Now as I saw the living creatures, look, there was a wheel on the ground beside each living creature with its four faces.
我生物を觀しに生物の近邊にあたりてその四箇の面の前に地の上に輪あり
16 And the appearance of the wheels and their work was like a beryl: and the four of them had the same likeness; and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel within a wheel.
其輪の形と作は黄金色の玉のごとしその四箇の形は皆同じその形と作は輪の中に輪のあるがごとくなり
17 When they went, they went in their four directions: they didn't turn when they went.
その行く時は四方に行く行にまはることなし
18 As for their rims, they were high and awesome; and the four of them had their rims full of eyes all around.
その輪輞は高くして畏懼かり輪輞は四箇ともに皆遍く目あり
19 When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
生物の行く時は輪その傍に行き生物地をはなれて上る時は輪もまた上る
20 They went in whichever direction the spirit would go, and the wheels rose alongside them because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
凡て靈のゆかんとする所には生物その靈のゆかんとする方に往く輪またその傍に上る是生物の靈輪の中にあればなり
21 When those [the living creatures] moved, these [the wheels] moved; and when those [the living creatures] stood still, and when those [the living creatures] rose from the ground, the wheels rose alongside them because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.
此の行く時は彼もゆき此の止る時は彼も止り此地をはなれて上る時は輪も共にあがる是生物の靈輪の中にあればなり
22 And over the heads of the living creatures there was the likeness of an expanse, like glittering ice, it was awesome to look upon, stretched out over their heads above.
生物の首の上に畏しき水晶のごとき穹蒼ありてその首の上に展開る
23 Under the expanse their wings were straight, the one toward the other. And each one had two which covered its body.
穹蒼の下に其翼直く開きて此と彼とあひ連る又各二箇の翼ありその各の二箇の翼此方彼方にありて身をおほふ
24 When they went, I heard the noise of their wings like the noise of great waters, like the voice of Shaddai, a noise of tumult like the noise of an army: when they stood, they let down their wings.
我その行く時の羽聲を聞に大水の聲のごとく全能者の聲のごとし其聲音の響は軍勢の聲のごとしその立どまる時は翼を垂る
25 There was a voice above the expanse that was over their heads.
その首の上なる穹蒼の上より聲ありその立どまる時は翼を垂る
26 Above the expanse that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone; and on the likeness of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man on it above.
首の上なる穹蒼の上に靑玉のごとき寶位の狀式ありその寶位の狀式の上に人のごとき者在す、
27 I saw as it were glowing metal, as the appearance of fire within it all around, from the appearance of his waist and upward; and from the appearance of his waist and downward I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and there was brightness around him.
又われその中と周圍に磨きたる銅のごとく火のごとくなる者を見る其人の腰より上も腰より下も火のごとくに見ゆ其周圍に輝光あり
28 As the appearance of the rainbow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. When I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice speaking.
その周圍の輝光は雨の日に雲にあらはるる虹のごとしヱホバの榮光かくのごとく見ゆ我これを見て俯伏したるに語る者の聲あるを聞く
