Esther 8

1 On that day, King Achashyerosh gave the house of Haman, the Jews' enemy, to Esther the queen. Mordecai came before the king; for Esther had told what he was to her.

۱ در آنروز اخشورش پادشاه، خانه هامان، دشمن یهود را به استر ملکه ارزانی داشت. و مردخای در حضور پادشاه داخل شد، زیرا که استر او را از نسبتی که با وی داشت خبر داده بود.

2 The king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

۲ و پادشاه انگشتر خود را که از هامان گرفته بودبیرون کرده، به مردخای داد و استر مردخای را برخانه هامان گماشت.

3 Esther spoke yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet, and begged him with tears to put away the mischief of Haman the Agagite, and his plot that he had devised against the Jews.

۳ و استر بار دیگر به پادشاه عرض کرد و نزد پایهای او افتاده، بگریست و از اوالتماس نمود که شر هامان اجاجی و تدبیری را که برای یهودیان کرده بود، باطل سازد.

4 Then the king held out to Esther the golden scepter. So Esther arose, and stood before the king.

۴ پس پادشاه چوگان طلا را بسوی استر دراز کرد و استربرخاسته، به حضور پادشاه ایستاد

5 She said, "If it pleases the king, and if I have found favor in his sight, and the thing seem right to the king, and I am pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews who are in all the king's provinces.

۵ و گفت: «اگرپادشاه را پسند آید و من در حضور او التفات یافته باشم و پادشاه این امر را صواب بیند و اگر من منظور نظر او باشم، مکتوبی نوشته شود که آن مراسله را که هامان بن همداتای اجاجی تدبیرکرده و آنها را برای هلاکت یهودیانی که در همه ولایتهای پادشاه می‌باشند نوشته است، باطل سازد.

6 For how can I endure to see the disaster that would come to my people? How can I endure to see the destruction of my relatives?"

۶ زیرا که من بلایی را که بر قومم واقع می‌شود چگونه توانم دید؟ و هلاکت خویشان خود را چگونه توانم نگریست؟»

7 Then King Achashyerosh said to Esther the queen and to Mordecai the Jew, "See, I have given Esther the house of Haman, and him they have hanged on the gallows, because he laid his hand on the Jews.

۷ آنگاه اخشورش پادشاه به استر ملکه و مردخای یهودی فرمود: «اینک خانه هامان را به استر بخشیدم و او را به‌سبب دست درازی به یهودیان به دار کشیده‌اند.

8 Write also to the Jews, as it pleases you, in the king's name, and seal it with the king's ring; for the writing which is written in the king's name, and sealed with the king's ring, may not be reversed by any man."

۸ و شما آنچه را که درنظرتان پسند آید، به اسم پادشاه به یهودیان بنویسید و آن را به مهر پادشاه مختوم سازید، زیراهرچه به اسم پادشاه نوشته شود و به مهر پادشاه مختوم گردد کسی نمی تواند آن را تبدیل نماید.»

9 Then the king's scribes were called at that time, in the third month Sivan, on the twenty-third day of the month; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, and to the satraps, and the governors and officials of the provinces which are from India to Ethiopia, one hundred twenty-seven provinces, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing, and in their language.

۹ پس در آن ساعت، در روز بیست و سوم ماه سوم که ماه سیوان باشد، کاتبان پادشاه را احضارکردند و موافق هر‌آنچه مردخای امر فرمود، به یهودیان و امیران و والیان و روسای ولایتها یعنی صد و بیست و هفت ولایت که از هند تا حبش بودنوشتند. به هر ولایت، موافق خط آن و به هر قوم، موافق زبان آن و به یهودیان، موافق خط و زبان ایشان.

10 He wrote in the name of King Achashyerosh, and sealed it with the king's ring, and sent letters by courier on horseback, riding on royal horses that were bread from swift steeds.

۱۰ و مکتوبات را به اسم اخشورش پادشاه نوشت و به مهر پادشاه مختوم ساخته، آنها را به‌دست چاپاران اسب‌سوار فرستاد و ایشان براسبان تازی که مختص خدمت پادشاه و کره های مادیانهای او بودند، سوار شدند.

11 In those letters, the king granted the Jews who were in every city to gather themselves together, and to defend their life, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, their little ones and women, and to plunder their possessions,

۱۱ و در آنهاپادشاه به یهودیانی که در همه شهرها بودند، اجازت داد که جمع شده، به جهت جانهای خودمقاومت نمایند و تمامی قوت قومها و ولایتها راکه قصد اذیت ایشان می‌داشتند، با اطفال و زنان ایشان هلاک سازند و بکشند و تلف نمایند واموال ایشان را تاراج کنند.

12 on one day in all the provinces of King Achashyerosh, on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar.

۱۲ در یک روز یعنی در سیزدهم ماه دوازدهم که ماه آذار باشد در همه ولایتهای اخشورش پادشاه.

13 A copy of the letter, that the decree should be given out in every province, was published to all the peoples, that the Jews should be ready for that day to avenge themselves on their enemies.

۱۳ و تا این حکم درهمه ولایتها رسانیده شود، سوادهای مکتوب به همه قومها اعلان شد که در همان روز یهودیان مستعد باشند تا از دشمنان خود انتقام بگیرند.

14 So the couriers who rode on royal horses went out, hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. The decree was given out in the citadel of Shushan.

۱۴ پس چاپاران بر اسبان تازی که مختص خدمت پادشاه بود، روانه شدند و ایشان را بر حسب حکم پادشاه شتابانیده، به تعجیل روانه ساختند و حکم، در دارالسلطنه شوشن نافذ شد.

15 Mordecai went out of the presence of the king in royal clothing of blue and white, and with a great crown of gold, and with a robe of fine linen and purple; and the city of Shushan shouted and was glad.

۱۵ و مردخای از حضور پادشاه با لباس ملوکانه لاجوردی و سفید و تاج بزرگ زرین و ردای کتان نازک ارغوانی بیرون رفت و شهر شوشن شادی ووجد نمودند،

16 The Jews had light, gladness, joy, and honor.

۱۶ و برای یهودیان، روشنی وشادی و سرور و حرمت پدید آمد.

17 In every province, and in every city, wherever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had gladness, joy, a feast, and a good day. Many from among the peoples of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews was fallen on them.

۱۷ و در همه ولایتها و جمیع شهرها در هر جایی که حکم وفرمان پادشاه رسید، برای یهودیان، شادمانی وسرور و بزم و روز خوش بود و بسیاری ازقوم های زمین به دین یهود گرویدند زیرا که ترس یهودیان بر ایشان مستولی گردیده بود.
