< Deuteronomy 27 >
1 Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, "Keep all the commandment which I command you this day.
Musa na athuuri a Isiraeli nĩ maathire andũ, makĩmeera atĩrĩ: “Rũmiai maathani maya mothe ndĩramũhe ũmũthĩ.
2 It shall be on the day when you shall pass over the Jordan to the land which the LORD your God gives you, that you shall set yourself up great stones, and plaster them with plaster:
Mwarĩkia kũringa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani mũtoonye bũrũri ũrĩa Jehova Ngai wanyu ekũmũhe-rĩ, mũkaahaanda mahiga manene na mũmathinge na rĩũmba.
3 and you shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have passed over; that you may go in to the land which the LORD your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
Mũkaandĩka igũrũ rĩamo ciugo ciothe cia watho ũyũ mwarĩkia kũringa mũrĩmo ũũrĩa ũngĩ mũtoonye bũrũri ũcio Jehova Ngai wanyu ekũmũhe, bũrũri ũrĩ bũthi wa iria na ũũkĩ, o ta ũrĩa Jehova Ngai wa maithe manyu aamwĩrĩire.
4 It shall be, when you have passed over the Jordan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in Mount Ebal, and you shall plaster them with plaster.
Na mwarĩkia kũringa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani, mũkaahaanda mahiga macio kĩrĩma-inĩ kĩa Ebali, ta ũrĩa ndĩramwatha ũmũthĩ, na mũmathinge na rĩũmba.
5 There you shall build an altar to the LORD your God, an altar of stones: you shall lift up no iron on them.
Ningĩ mũgaakĩra Jehova Ngai wanyu kĩgongona, kĩgongona kĩa mahiga. Mũtikanahũthĩre kĩndũ o gĩothe gĩa kĩgera mahiga-inĩ macio.
6 You shall build the altar of the LORD your God of uncut stones; and you shall offer burnt offerings thereon to the LORD your God:
Mũgaakĩra Jehova Ngai wanyu kĩgongona na mahiga moimĩte mũgũnda, na mũrutĩre Jehova Ngai wanyu maruta ma njino igũrũ wakĩo.
7 and you shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God.
Mũkarutĩra indo cia magongona ma ũiguano o hau, mũcirĩe mũgĩkenagĩra o hau mbere ya Jehova Ngai wanyu.
8 You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly."
Na nĩmũkandĩka ciugo ciothe cia watho ũyũ mahiga-inĩ macio mũkaahaanda na ndemwa ikuoneka wega.”
9 Moses and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, "Keep silence, and listen, Israel: this day you have become the people of the LORD your God.
Nake Musa na athĩnjĩri-Ngai, arĩa maarĩ Alawii, makĩĩra andũ othe a Isiraeli atĩrĩ, “Ta kirai, inyuĩ andũ a Isiraeli, na mũthikĩrĩrie! Rĩu nĩmũtuĩkĩte andũ a Jehova Ngai wanyu.
10 You shall therefore obey the voice of the LORD your God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day."
Athĩkĩrai Jehova Ngai wanyu na mũrũmĩrĩre maathani make na kĩrĩra kĩa watho wake wa kũrũmĩrĩrwo ũrĩa ndĩramũhe ũmũthĩ.”
11 Moses commanded the people the same day, saying,
Mũthenya o ro ũcio, Musa agĩatha andũ acio, akĩmeera atĩrĩ:
12 "These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have passed over the Jordan: Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Joseph, and Benjamin.
Mwarĩkia kũringa Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani, mĩhĩrĩga ĩno nĩĩkarũgama kĩrĩma igũrũ kĩa Gerizimu ĩrathime andũ: Nĩ mũhĩrĩga wa Simeoni, na wa Lawi, na wa Juda, na wa Isakaru, na wa Jusufu na wa Benjamini.
13 These shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
Nayo mĩhĩrĩga ĩno nĩĩkarũgama kĩrĩma igũrũ kĩa Ebali yanĩrĩre irumi: Nĩ mũhĩrĩga wa Rubeni, na wa Gadi, na wa Asheri, na wa Zebuluni, na wa Dani na wa Nafitali.
14 The Levites shall answer, and tell all the men of Israel with a loud voice,
Nao Alawii nĩmakoiga ciugo na mũgambo mũnene, meere andũ othe a Isiraeli atĩrĩ:
15 'Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.' All the people shall answer and say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũicũhagia mũhianano kana agatwekia mũhianano, kĩndũ kĩ magigi harĩ Jehova, wĩra wa moko ma mũbundi, na akahaanda kĩndũ kĩu na hitho.”
16 'Cursed is he who sets light by his father or his mother.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũtatĩĩaga ithe kana nyina.”
17 'Cursed is he who removes his neighbor's landmark.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa weheragia ihiga rĩa mũhaka wake na mũndũ wa itũũra.”
18 'Cursed is he who makes the blind to wander out of the way.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũhĩtithagia mũtumumu njĩra.”
19 'Cursed is he who wrests the justice due the foreigner, fatherless, and widow.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũtaciiragĩra mũndũ wa kũngĩ, kana mwana wa ngoriai, kana mũtumia wa ndigwa na kĩhooto.”
20 'Cursed is he who lies with his father's wife, because he has uncovered his father's skirt.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũkomaga na mũtumia wa ithe, nĩgũkorwo nĩ ũrĩrĩ wa ithe aagĩire gĩtĩĩo.”
21 'Cursed is he who lies with any kind of animal.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũngĩkoma na nyamũ o yothe.”
22 'Cursed is he who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũkomaga na mwarĩ wa nyina, kana na mwarĩ wa ithe.”
23 'Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũkomaga na nyina wa mũtumia wake.”
24 'Cursed is he who strikes his neighbor in secret.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũragaga mũndũ wa itũũra rĩake na hitho.”
25 'Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa wamũkagĩra ihaki nĩguo oorage mũndũ ũtarĩ na ihĩtia.”
26 'Cursed is he who doesn't confirm all the words of this law to do them.' All the people shall say, 'Amen.'"
“Kũgwatwo nĩ kĩrumi-rĩ, nĩ mũndũ ũrĩa ũtarĩrũmagia ciugo cia watho ũyũ na ũndũ wa gũcihingia.”
