Deuteronomy 12
1 These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth.
੧ਇਹ ਉਹ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਨੂੰਨ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੋਗੇ, ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
2 You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree:
੨ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੱਢਣਾ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਟਿੱਲਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਹਰੇਕ ਹਰੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ।
3 and you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods; and you shall destroy their name out of that place.
੩ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਸੁੱਟਣਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੂਰ-ਚੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਸ਼ੇਰਾਹ ਦੇਵੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਕਰੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਸੁੱਟਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਣਾ।
4 You shall not do so to the LORD your God.
੪ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ।
5 But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you shall seek, and there you shall come;
੫ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉਸੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਾ।
6 and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock:
੬ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਸਵੰਧ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੁੱਖਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੌਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਜੜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੌਠੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਾ,
7 and there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.
੭ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਖਾਇਆ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਸਮੇਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਜਿਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਇਓ।
8 You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;
੮ਉੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
9 for you haven't yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God gives you.
੯ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
10 But when you go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety;
੧੦ਜਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਰਦਨ ਪਾਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਓ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਓ,
11 then it shall happen that to the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to your God.
੧੧ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਸਵੰਧ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਨ ਭਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਸੁੱਖਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਸੁੱਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਕਰਨਾ।
12 You shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.
੧੨ਤੁਸੀਂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਾਸ, ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੇਵੀ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜਾਂ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
13 Be careful that you do not offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;
੧੩ਖ਼ਬਰਦਾਰ ਰਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ, ਉੱਥੇ ਨਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਓ,
14 but in the place which the LORD shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.
੧੪ਪਰ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੋਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਓ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਉੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਕਰਿਓ।
15 Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the deer.
੧੫ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਰਕਤ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ, ਪਸ਼ੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ ਖਾਇਓ। ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚਿਕਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
16 Only you shall not eat the blood; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.
੧੬ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਖਾਣਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੂਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਣਾ।
17 You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand;
੧੭ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਅੰਨ, ਨਵੀਂ ਮਧ, ਤੇਲ ਦਾ ਦਸਵੰਧ, ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੌਠੇ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੁੱਖਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਖਾਣਾ,
18 but you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all that you put your hand to.
੧੮ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ, ਧੀਆਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ-ਦਾਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਲੇਵੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਣਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਨੰਦ ਕਰਨਾ।
19 Be careful that you do not forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.
੧੯ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹੋ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੀ ਨਾ ਭੁੱਲਿਓ।
20 When the LORD your God shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, "I want to eat meat," because your soul desires to eat meat; you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.
੨੦ਜਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਵਾਂਗੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਜੀਅ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਇਓ।
21 If the place which the LORD your God shall choose to put his name there is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which God has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.
੨੧ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਸਥਾਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮ ਵਸਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਅਤੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਸ਼ੂ ਵੱਢ ਲਿਓ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ ਕਰਿਓ।
22 Even as the gazelle and as the deer is eaten, so you shall eat of it: the unclean and the clean may eat of it alike.
੨੨ਜਿਵੇਂ ਚਿਕਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਰਨ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਇਓ, ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
23 Only be sure that you do not eat the blood: for the blood is the life; and you shall not eat the life with the flesh.
੨੩ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਖਾਇਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਲਹੂ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਾਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਖਾਇਓ
24 You shall not eat it; you shall pour it out on the earth as water.
੨੪ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਖਾਇਓ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਣਾ।
25 You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD.
੨੫ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਖਾਇਓ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
26 Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which the LORD shall choose,
੨੬ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ, ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੁੱਖਣਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਇਓ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਚੁਣੇਗਾ
27 and you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of the LORD your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of the LORD your God; and you shall eat the flesh.
੨੭ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਹੋਮ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਓ ਪਰ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖਾ ਲੈਣਾ।
28 Observe and hear and do all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the eyes of the LORD your God.
੨੮ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਨੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਭਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
29 When the LORD your God shall cut off the nations from before you, where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them, and dwell in their land;
੨੯ਜਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਕੱਢ ਦੇਵੇ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸ ਜਾਓ,
30 take heed to yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before you; and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, "How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise."
੩੦ਤਾਂ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣਾ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗ ਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਫਸ ਜਾਓ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਛਿਓ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰੀਏ।
31 You shall not do so to the LORD your God: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.
੩੧ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਘਿਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
32 Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
੩੨ਜੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਿਓ, ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਵਧਾਇਓ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਘਟਾਇਓ।
