Acts 19
1 It happened that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper country, came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples.
೧ಅಪೊಲ್ಲೋಸನು ಕೊರಿಂಥದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಪೌಲನು ಮಲೆನಾಡಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡಿ ಎಫೆಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಕೆಲವು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು;
2 He said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They said to him, "No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit."
೨“ನೀವು ನಂಬಿದಾಗ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮವರವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದಿರೋ?” ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲು ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ; “ಇಲ್ಲ, ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮವರವು ಉಂಟೆಂಬುದನ್ನೇ ನಾವು ಕೇಳಿಲ್ಲ” ಅಂದರು.
3 He said, "Into what then were you baptized?" They said, "Into John's baptism."
೩ಅವನು; “ನೀವು ಏನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು; “ಯೋಹಾನನ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು” ಅಂದರು.
4 Paul said, "John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus."
೪ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪೌಲನು; “ಯೋಹಾನನು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪಪಟ್ಟು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೆ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುವ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡಬೇಕೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು,
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
೫ಅವರು ಆ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
6 When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke with other tongues and prophesied.
೬ಪೌಲನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನಿಡಲು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಳಿದುಬಂದನು; ಅವರು ನಾನಾ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದರು.
7 They were about twelve men in all.
೭ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡಸರಿದ್ದರು.
8 He entered into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for a period of three months, reasoning and persuading about the things concerning the Kingdom of God.
೮ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲನು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು, ವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದನು.
9 But when some were hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the crowd, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.
೯ಕೆಲವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಒಡಂಬಡದೆ ಗುಂಪುಕೂಡಿದ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಬೇರೆಮಾಡಿ ತುರನ್ನ ಎಂಬುವನ ತರ್ಕಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನವೂ ವಾದಿಸಿದನು.
10 This continued for two years, so that all those who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
೧೦ಇದು ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ, ಗ್ರೀಕರೂ, ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು.
11 God worked special miracles by the hands of Paul,
೧೧ದೇವರು ಪೌಲನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ,
12 so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were carried away from his body to the sick, and the evil spirits went out.
೧೨ಜನರು ಅವನ ಮೈಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೈವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ, ರುಮಾಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತಂದು ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಲು ಅವರ ರೋಗಗಳು ವಾಸಿಯಾದವು, ದುರಾತ್ಮಗಳೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದವು.
13 But some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, took on themselves to invoke over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, "I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches."
೧೩ದುರಾತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಬಿಡಿಸುವವರೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ದೇಶಸಂಚಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ದುರಾತ್ಮ ಪೀಡಿತರ ಮೇಲೆ; “ಪೌಲನು ಸಾರುವ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಆಣೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಯೋಗಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತೊಡಗಿದರು.
14 There were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did this.
೧೪ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕ ಸ್ಕೇವನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
15 The evil spirit answered, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?"
೧೫ಆದರೆ ದುರಾತ್ಮವು ಅವರಿಗೆ; “ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಗುರುತು ನನಗುಂಟು, ಪೌಲನನ್ನೂ ಬಲ್ಲೆನು, ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿತು;
16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was, having leapt on them, having overpowered them all, prevailed against them so that they fled from that house naked and wounded.
೧೬ಮತ್ತು ದುರಾತ್ಮ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದು, ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಸದೆಬಡಿದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡು ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಾಗಿ ಆ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಓಡಿಹೋದರು.
17 This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived at Ephesus. Fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
೧೭ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಯು ಎಫೆಸದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೂ, ಗ್ರೀಕರಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಾಗ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಭಯಭೀತರಾದರು. ಮತ್ತು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಹೆಸರು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು.
18 Many also of those who had believed came, confessing, and declaring their deeds.
೧೮ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪದಿಂದ ಬಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಾಪಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು.
19 Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver.
೧೯ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾಟ ಮಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾಟಮಂತ್ರಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು, ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವುಗಳ ಮೌಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಮಾಡಿ ಐವತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಆಯಿತೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡರು.
20 So the word of the Lord was growing and becoming mighty.
೨೦ಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾ ಪ್ರಬಲವಾಯಿತು.
21 Now after these things had ended, Paul determined in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome."
೨೧ಈ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಆದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪೌಲನು ತಾನು ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಅಖಾಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ; “ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋದ ಮೇಲೆ ರೋಮಾಪುರವನ್ನು ಸಹ ನೋಡಬೇಕೆಂದು” ಹೇಳಿದನು.
22 Having sent into Macedonia two of those who served him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.
೨೨ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರಾದ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಎರಸ್ತನನ್ನೂ ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ತಾನು ಆಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ತಂಗಿದನು.
23 About that time there arose no small stir concerning the Way.
೨೩ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಬಹಳ ಗಲಭೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿತು.
24 For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen,
೨೪ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, ದೇಮೇತ್ರಿಯನೆಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಅರ್ತೆಮೀ ದೇವಿಯ ಗುಡಿಯಂತೆ ಸಣ್ಣಸಣ್ಣ ಗುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆ ಕಸುಬಿನವರಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
25 whom he gathered together, with the workmen of like occupation, and said, "Sirs, you know that by this business we have our wealth.
೨೫ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಕಸುಬಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸದವರನ್ನೂ ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ; “ಜನರೇ, ಈ ಕೆಲಸದಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆಂದು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ.
26 You see and hear, that not at Ephesus alone, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are no gods, that are made with hands.
೨೬ಆದರೆ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳು ದೇವರುಗಳಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಆ ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿ ಎಫೆಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಹಳ ಜನರನ್ನು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಸಿ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ, ಕೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
27 Not only is there danger that this our trade come into disrepute; but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be counted as nothing, and that she should even be deposed from her magnificence, whom all Asia and the world worships."
೨೭ಇದರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಂದು ಬರುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅರ್ತೆಮೀ ಮಹಾದೇವಿಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವು ಗಣನೆಗೆ ಬಾರದೆಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆಯೂ, ಲೋಕವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪೂಜಿಸುವ ಈ ದೇವಿಯ ವೈಭವಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾನಿಬರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಗಂಡಾಂತರವುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆಂದು” ಹೇಳಿದನು.
28 When they heard this they were filled with anger, and began to shout, saying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians."
೨೮ಅವರು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು; “ಎಫೆಸದವರ ಅರ್ತೆಮೀದೇವಿ ಮಹಾದೇವಿ” ಎಂದು ಅರ್ಭಟಿಸಿದರು.
29 The city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Macedonians, Paul's companions in travel.
೨೯ಆಗ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ಜೊತೆಯವರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯದ ಗಾಯನನ್ನೂ, ಅರಿಸ್ತಾರ್ಕನನ್ನೂ ಜನರು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ನಾಟಕ ಶಾಲೆಯೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದರು.
30 When Paul wanted to enter in to the people, the disciples did not allow him.
೩೦ಪೌಲನು ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದಾಗ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
31 And also some of the Asiarchs, who were his friends, sent to him and urged him not to venture into the theater.
೩೧ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಪೌಲನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ; ನೀನು ನಾಟಕ ಶಾಲೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗ ಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
32 Some therefore shouted one thing, and some another, for the assembly was in confusion. Most of them did not know why they had come together.
೩೨ಜನಸಮೂಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊಂದಲವೆದ್ದಿತು, ಕೆಲವರು ಒಂದು ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗಾಡಿದರೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವಿಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಬಹುಜನರಿಗೆ ತಾವು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಕಾರಣವು ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
33 They brought Alexander out of the crowd, the Jews putting him forward. Alexander beckoned with his hand, and would have made a defense to the people.
೩೩ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ನೂಕಲು, ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಆಗ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರನು ಕೈಸನ್ನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೂಡಿದ್ದ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿವಾದ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದನು.
34 But when they perceived that he was a Jew, all with one voice for a time of about two hours shouted, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians."
೩೪ಆದರೆ ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದಾಗ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದೇ ಶಬ್ದದಿಂದ; “ಎಫೆಸದವರ ಅರ್ತೆಮೀದೇವಿ ಮಹಾದೇವಿ” ಎಂದು ಎರಡು ಘಂಟೆ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೂಗಿದರು.
35 When the town clerk had quieted the crowd, he said, "You men of Ephesus, is there anyone who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great Artemis, and of the image which fell down from Zeus?
೩೫ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಪಡಿಸಿ; “ಎಫೆಸದವರೇ, ಎಫೆಸ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು ಅರ್ತೆಮೀ ಮಹಾದೇವಿಯ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೂ, ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದ ಆಕೆಯ ಮೂರ್ತಿಗೂ, ಪಾಲಕರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯದಿರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಯಾವನಿದ್ದಾನೇ?
36 Seeing then that these things cannot be denied, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rash.
೩೬ಈ ಸಂಗತಿ ಅಲ್ಲವೆನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರಿಂದಲೂ ಆಗದಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಶಾಂತಿಯಿಂದಿರಬೇಕು; ದುಡುಕಿ ಏನೂ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು.
37 For you have brought these men here, who are neither robbers of temples nor blasphemers of our goddess.
೩೭ನೀವು ಹಿಡಿದುತಂದಿರುವ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಳ್ಳತನ ಮಾಡುವವರಲ್ಲ, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವಿಯನ್ನು ದೂಷಿಸುವವರೂ ಅಲ್ಲ.
38 If therefore Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a matter against anyone, the courts are open, and there are proconsuls. Let them press charges against one another.
೩೮ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ದೇಮೇತ್ರಿಯನಿಗೂ ಅವನ ಪಕ್ಷವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವ ಅಕ್ಕಸಾಲಿಗರಿಗೂ ಯಾವನ ಮೇಲಾದರೂ ದೂರುಗಳಿದ್ದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನಗಳುಂಟು, ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಒಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೊಬ್ಬರು ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ.
39 But if you seek anything further, it will be settled in the regular assembly.
೩೯ಏನಾದರೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಅದು ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ನೆರೆದ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಲ್ಪಡಬೇಕು.
40 For indeed we are in danger of being accused concerning this day's riot, there being no cause. Concerning it, we would not be able to give an account of this commotion."
೪೦ಈ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯವಾದ ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನೆರೆದ ಜನರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಒಂದು ದಂಗೆ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಸ್ಪದವಾಯಿತು. ಈ ದೊಂಬಿಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ವಿಚಾರಣೆನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
41 When he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
೪೧ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
