2 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father, and the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah:

保祿和息爾瓦諾及弟茂德，致書給在天主我們的父及耶穌基督內的德撒洛尼人的教會。

2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah.

願恩寵與平安，由天主父和主耶穌基督賜與你們!

3 We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you towards one another abounds;

弟兄們，我們常該為你們感謝天主，這真是相稱的，你們的信德大有進步，你們眾人的間彼此的愛德更為增進，

4 so that we ourselves boast about you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.

以致我們可在天主的各教會中，為你們誇口，因為你們在所受的一切迫害和磨難中，仍保持了焣忍和信德。

5 This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.

這正是天主公義審判的明證，好使你們堪得天主的國，你們也正是為這國才受了苦難。

6 Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,

既然天主是公義的，必要以苦難報復難為你們的人，

7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,

卻嘗你們受難為的人，同我們一起安寧；主耶穌由天上偕同衪大能的天使出現時，

8 giving vengeance to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus,

要在火焰中報復雖然不認識天主，和不聽從我們的主耶穌福音的人。

9 who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, (aiōnios g166)

這些人要受永遠喪亡之罰，遠離主的面，遠離衪威能的光榮。 (aiōnios g166)

10 when he comes to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.

當衪在一日降來的時候，要在衪的聖徒身上受光榮，在一切信眾身上受讚美。你們也在其中，因為你們確信了我們的證言。

11 To this end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith, with power;

為此，我們也為你們，求我們的天主使你們相稱衪的召叫；求衪以德能，成全你們各種樂意向善的心，和信德的行為，

12 that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus (the) Messiah.

好使我們的主耶穌基督的恩寵受光榮。
