2 Samuel 13
1 It happened after this, that Absalom the son of David had a beautiful sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her.
சிறிதுகாலம் சென்றபின் தாவீதின் மகன் அம்னோன், தாமார் மீது காதல் கொண்டான். இந்த அழகான தாமார் தாவீதின் இன்னொரு மகனான அப்சலோமின் சகோதரி.
2 Amnon was so troubled that he fell sick because of his sister Tamar; for she was a virgin; and it seemed hard to Amnon to do anything to her.
அம்னோன் தன்னுடைய சகோதரி தாமாரின் நிமித்தம் நோயுற்றான். ஏனெனில் அவன் சகோதரி தாமார் கன்னிகையாக இருந்தபடியால், அவளை அவனால் ஒன்றும் செய்ய முடியவில்லை.
3 But Amnon had a friend, whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David's brother. Now Jonadab was a very crafty man.
அம்னோனுக்குத் தாவீதின் சகோதரன் சிமெயாவின் மகன் யோனதாப் நண்பனாயிருந்தான்; யோனதாப் மிகவும் தந்திரமுள்ளவன்.
4 He said to him, "Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won't you tell me?" Amnon said to him, "I love Tamar, my brother Absalom's sister."
யோனதாப் அம்னோனிடம், “அரசனின் மகனான நீ நாளுக்குநாள் மெலிந்துபோவதேன்? எனக்கு சொல்லமாட்டாயா?” என்றான். அதற்கு அம்னோன் அவனிடம், “என் சகோதரன் அப்சலோமின் சகோதரி தாமாரின்மேல் நான் ஆசை வைத்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
5 Jonadab said to him, "Lie down on your bed, and pretend to be sick. When your father comes to see you, tell him, 'Please let my sister Tamar come and give me bread to eat, and dress the food in my sight, that I may see it, and eat it from her hand.'"
அப்பொழுது யோனதாப் அவனிடம், “நீ படுக்கைக்குப்போய் நோயாளியைப்போல பாசாங்கு செய்” என்றான். “உன் தகப்பன் உன்னைப் பார்க்க வரும்போது அவரிடம், ‘என் சகோதரி தாமார் வந்து, நான் சாப்பிட ஏதாவது கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என நான் விரும்புகிறேன். நான் அவளைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்து அவள் கையால் சாப்பிடும்படிக்கு, எனக்கு முன்பாக அவள் உணவை தயாரிக்கட்டும்’ என்று சொல்” என்றான்.
6 So Amnon lay down and faked being sick. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to the king, "Please let my sister Tamar come, and make me a couple of cakes in my sight, that I may eat from her hand."
அவன் சொன்னபடியே அம்னோன் படுத்துக்கொண்டு நோயாளியைப்போல பாசாங்கு செய்தான். அரசன் அவனைப் பார்க்க வந்தபோது அம்னோன் அரசனிடம், “என் சகோதரி தாமாரின் கையினால் நான் சாப்பிடும்படி அவள் வந்து என் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக விசேஷமான உணவை செய்யவேண்டும்” என்று கேட்டான்.
7 Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, "Go now to your brother Amnon and prepare food for him."
தாவீது அரண்மனையிலிருந்த தாமாரிடம், “உன்னுடைய சகோதரன் அம்னோனின் வீட்டிற்குப்போய் அவனுக்கு உணவு தயாரித்துக் கொடு” என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.
8 So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house; and he was lying down. And she took dough, and kneaded it, and made cakes while he watched, and baked the cakes.
தாமார் தன் சகோதரன் அம்னோனின் வீட்டுக்குப்போனபோது அவன் படுத்திருந்தான்; அவள் மாவை எடுத்துப் பிசைந்து அவன் கண்முன்னே அப்பங்களைச் சுட்டாள்.
9 She took the pan, and poured them out before him; but he refused to eat. Amnon said, "Have all men leave me." Every man went out from him.
பின்பு அப்பங்களை எடுத்து அவனுக்குப் பரிமாறினாள், அவனோ சாப்பிட மறுத்தான். அம்னோன், “எல்லோரையும் வெளியே அனுப்புங்கள்” என்றான். எனவே எல்லோரும் வெளியே போனார்கள்.
10 Amnon said to Tamar, "Bring the food into the room, that I may eat from your hand." Tamar took the cakes which she had made, and brought them into the room to Amnon her brother.
அதன்பின் அம்னோன் தாமாரிடம், “நான் உன் கையால் சாப்பிடும்படி உணவை என் படுக்கையறைக்குக் கொண்டுவா” என்றான். அவ்வாறே தாமார் தான் தயாரித்த அப்பங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு தன் சகோதரன் அம்னோனிடம் அவனுடைய படுக்கையறைக்குப் போனாள்.
11 When she had brought them near to him to eat, he took hold of her, and said to her, "Come, lie with me, my sister."
அவள் அவற்றை அவன் சாப்பிடும்படி அவனிடம் கொண்டுபோனபோது, அவன் அவள் கையைப் பிடித்து, “சகோதரியே, என்னுடன் படுக்கைக்கு வா” என்றான்.
12 She answered him, "No, my brother, do not force me. For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Do not do this folly.
அதற்கு தாமார், “வேண்டாம் என் சகோதரனே, என்னைப் பலவந்தப்படுத்தாதே. இஸ்ரயேலில் இப்படியான ஒரு செயல் நடைபெறக் கூடாது. இப்படிப்பட்ட கொடிய செயலை செய்யாதே.
13 I, where would I carry my shame? And as for you, you will be as one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, please speak to the king; for he will not withhold me from you."
அப்படிச் செய்தால் என் நிலை என்ன? எங்கு போய் இந்த அவமானத்தை நீக்குவேன்? உன் நிலை என்னவாகும்? நீ இஸ்ரயேலிலுள்ள கொடிய மூடர்களில் ஒருவனைப்போலாவாயே; தயவுசெய்து நீ அரசரிடம் பேசு, உனக்கு என்னைத் திருமணம் செய்துகொடுக்க அவர் தடைசெய்யமாட்டார்” என்றாள்.
14 However he would not listen to her voice; but being stronger than she was, he overpowered her and raped her.
அவனோ அவள் சொன்னதைக் கேட்கவில்லை. அம்னோன் தாமாரைவிட பலசாலி என்பதால் அவளைப் பலவந்தமாய் பிடித்து கற்பழித்தான்.
15 Then Amnon hated her with intense hatred, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, "Get up, go away."
அதன்பின் அம்னோன் அவள்மேல் கடுமையான வெறுப்புகொண்டான். அவளை அவன் நேசித்த அளவைவிட, அதிகமாய் அவளை வெறுத்தான். எனவே அம்னோன், “எழும்பு, இங்கிருந்து வெளியே போய்விடு” என்று அவளிடம் கண்டிப்பாய் சொன்னான்.
16 And Tamar said to him, "Don't, my brother, for this latter evil in sending me away is greater than the former thing that you did to me." But he would not listen to her.
அதற்கு அவள், “வேண்டாம்; இப்பொழுது நீ எனக்கு செய்த அநியாயத்தைப் பார்க்கிலும், என்னை வெளியே துரத்திவிடுவது பெரிய அநியாயமாய் இருக்கும்” என்றாள். ஆனாலும் அவள் சொன்னதை அவன் கேட்க மறுத்தான்.
17 Then he called the young man who served him, and said, "Send this one away from me, and bolt the door after her."
அவன் தன் தனிப்பட்ட பணியாளனை அழைத்து அவனிடம், “இந்தப் பெண்ணை இங்கிருந்து வெளியே துரத்தி கதவைப் பூட்டு” என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்.
18 Now she was wearing an ornamented robe, for this was what the king's virgin daughters used to wear. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.
எனவே அவனுடைய பணியாள் அவளை வெளியேதள்ளிக் கதவைப் பூட்டினான். அப்பொழுது அரச குடும்பத்து கன்னிப்பெண்கள் அணியும் மிக அலங்காரமான அங்கியை தாமார் அணிந்திருந்தாள்.
19 And Tamar took ashes and put them on her head, and tore the long robe she was wearing. And she put her hand on her head and went away, crying aloud as she went.
தாமார் தன் தலைமேல் சாம்பலைப்போட்டு தான் அணிந்திருந்த அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட மேலங்கியைக் கிழித்து, தன் கைகளைத் தலையின்மேல் வைத்து சத்தமிட்டு அழுதுகொண்டே போனாள்.
20 And her brother Absalom said to her, "Has Amnon your brother been with you? Be quiet for now, my sister. He is your brother. Do not take this too seriously." So Tamar, devastated, lived in her brother Absalom's house.
இதைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட அவள் சகோதரன் அப்சலோம் அவளிடம் வந்து, “உன் சகோதரன் அம்னோன் உன்னுடன் உறவு கொண்டானா? ஆனாலும் என் சகோதரியே, இப்பொழுது அமைதியாயிரு. எப்படியாயினும் அவன் உன் சகோதரன் அல்லவா? அதைக்குறித்து மனம் வருந்தாதே” என்றான். தாமார் துயருற்றவளாய் தன் சகோதரன் அப்சலோம் வீட்டில் தங்கினாள்.
21 But when king David heard of all these things, he was very angry. But he did not inflict pain on the spirit of his son Amnon, because he loved him, for he was his firstborn.
தாவீது அரசன் இவற்றையெல்லாம் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, கடுங்கோபமடைந்தான்.
22 Absalom spoke to Amnon neither good nor bad; for Absalom hated Amnon, because he had violated his sister Tamar.
அப்சலோம் நன்மையாகவோ, தீமையாகவோ அம்னோனுடன் ஒரு வார்த்தையும் பேசவில்லை. ஆனால் தன் சகோதரி தாமாரை அம்னோன் அவமானப்படுத்தியபடியால் அப்சலோம் அவனை வெறுத்தான்.
23 It happened after two full years, that Absalom had sheepshearers in Baal Hazor, which is beside Ephraim: and Absalom invited all the king's sons.
இரண்டு வருடங்களுக்குப் பின்பு எப்பிராயீமின் எல்லைக்கு அருகே உள்ள பாகால் காசோரிலே அப்சலோமின் ஆடுகளின் மயிர் கத்தரிப்பவர்கள் இருந்தார்கள். அங்கே அரசனுடைய எல்லா மகன்களையும் வரும்படி அப்சலோம் அழைத்திருந்தான்.
24 Absalom came to the king, and said, "See now, your servant has sheepshearers. Please let the king and his servants go with your servant."
அப்சலோம் அரசனிடம் சென்று, “உம்முடைய அடியான் ஆடுகளுக்கு மயிர் கத்தரிப்பவர்களை வேலைக்கு அழைத்திருக்கிறேன். அரசரும் அவர் அதிகாரிகளும் அவ்விடத்திற்கு என்னிடம் வரும்படி தயவாய் அழைக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
25 The king said to Absalom, "No, my son, let us not all go, lest we be burdensome to you." But he pleaded with him; however he would not go, but blessed him.
அதற்கு அரசன், “வேண்டாம் என் மகனே; நாங்கள் எல்லோரும் வரக்கூடாது. நாங்கள் உனக்குப் பாரமாக மட்டுமே இருப்போம்” என்றான். அப்சலோம் எவ்வளவு வற்புறுத்தியும் அரசன் போக மறுத்துவிட்டான். ஆனாலும் அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்தான்.
26 Then Absalom said, "If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us." The king said to him, "Why should he go with you?"
அப்பொழுது அப்சலோம் அரசனிடம், “அப்படி நீங்கள் வரமுடியாவிட்டால் என் சகோதரன் அம்னோனையாவது எங்களோடு வருவதற்கு உத்தரவு கொடுங்கள்” என்றான். அதற்கு அரசன், “அவன் உன்னுடன் ஏன் வரவேண்டும்” எனக் கேட்டான்.
27 But Absalom pleaded with him, and he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him. And Absalom prepared a feast like a king's feast.
ஆனாலும் அப்சலோம் அரசனை வற்புறுத்தினபடியால் அரசன் அம்னோனையும், மற்ற மகன்களையும் அவனோடு அனுப்பினான்.
28 And Absalom commanded his servants, saying, "Watch Amnon until he is in a good mood from the wine, and when I tell you, 'Strike Amnon,' then kill him. Do not be afraid. Haven't I commanded you? Be strong and brave."
அப்பொழுது அப்சலோம் தன் மனிதரிடம், “கேளுங்கள். அம்னோன் திராட்சைமது குடித்து மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும் வேளையில் நான் உங்களிடம் அம்னோனை வெட்டி வீழ்த்துங்கள் என்று சொல்வேன். அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் பயப்படாமல் அவனைக் கொல்லவேண்டும். உங்களுக்கு உத்தரவிடுவது நான் அல்லவா? பலமும் தைரியமுமுள்ளவர்களாய் இருங்கள்” என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்.
29 So the servants of Absalom did to Amnon as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king's sons got up, and each mounted his mule and fled.
அப்சலோம் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவனுடைய மனிதர் அம்னோனுக்குச் செய்தார்கள். இதைக் கண்ட அரசனின் மகன்கள் அவரவர் கோவேறு கழுதைகளில் ஏறி தப்பிப் போனார்கள்.
30 And it happened, while they were on the way, that the news came to David, saying, "Absalom has struck down all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left."
அவர்கள் வழியில் போகும்பொழுதே தாவீதிற்கு, “அப்சலோம், அரசனின் மகன்கள் எல்லோரையும் கொன்றுவிட்டான். அவர்களில் ஒருவனாவது தப்பவில்லை” என்று செய்தி கிடைத்தது.
31 Then the king got up and tore his clothes and lay down on the ground. And all the servants who were standing around him also tore their clothes.
அப்பொழுது அரசன் எழுந்து தன் உடையைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டு தரையில் விழுந்து கிடந்தான். அவனுடைய பணியாட்கள் எல்லோரும் தங்கள் உடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொண்டு அவன் பக்கத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.
32 But Jonadab the son of Shimeah, David's brother, said, "My lord the king must not think that they have killed all the young men, the king's sons, for only Amnon is dead. For this has been Absalom's plan since the day that he raped his sister Tamar.
ஆனாலும் தாவீதின் சகோதரன் சிமெயாவின் மகன் யோனதாப் வந்து, “அரசனின் மகன்கள் எல்லோரும் இறந்துவிட்டார்களென என் ஆண்டவன் எண்ணவேண்டாம். அம்னோன் மட்டுமே செத்துப் போனான். அப்சலோமின் சகோதரி தாமாரை அவன் கற்பழித்த நாள் முதல் இதுவே அவனுடைய வெளிப்படையான எண்ணமுமாய் இருந்தது.
33 Now therefore do not let my lord the king take the thing to his heart, to think that all the king's sons are dead; for Amnon only is dead."
எனவே என் ஆண்டவனாகிய அரசனே! உமது மகன்கள் அனைவரும் இறந்துவிட்டார்கள் என்ற செய்திக்காக நீர் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம். அம்னோன் மட்டுமே இறந்தான்” என்றான்.
34 But Absalom fled. And the young man who kept the watch lifted up his eyes and looked, and he saw many men coming on the road behind him from the side of the mountain in the descent. And the watchman came and told the king, and said, "I have seen many men coming from the Horonan road by the side of the mountain."
இதற்கிடையில் அப்சலோமோ தப்பி ஓடிவிட்டான். அப்பொழுது காவற்காரன், மேலே இருந்து பார்த்தபோது, பல மனிதர் அவனுக்கு மேற்குப் பக்கமாக உள்ள பாதையில் மலை ஓரமாக இறங்கி வருவதைக் கண்டான்; உடனே அந்த காவற்காரன் அரசனிடம் சென்று, “பக்கத்தில் மலை ஓரமாக பல மனிதர்கள் வருவதைக் காண்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
35 Jonadab said to the king, "Look, the king's sons are coming. It is as your servant said."
அப்பொழுது யோனதாப் அரசனிடம், “உமது மகன்கள் வந்து கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். உமது அடியான் சொன்னபடியே நடந்திருக்கிறது” என்றான்.
36 It happened, as soon as he had finished speaking, that look, the king's sons came, and lifted up their voice, and wept. The king also and all his servants wept bitterly.
அவ்வாறு அவன் சொல்லி முடித்தபோது அரசனுடைய மகன்கள் உரத்த சத்தமாய் அழுதுகொண்டு உள்ளே வந்தார்கள். அரசனும் அவன் பணியாட்கள் அனைவரும் மனங்கசந்து அழுதார்கள்.
37 And David mourned for his son every day.
அப்சலோமோ கேசூரின் அரசனான அம்மியூதின் மகன் தல்மாயிடம் தப்பி ஓடிப்போனான். ஆனால் தாவீது அரசனோ தன் மகனுக்காக நாள்தோறும் துக்கங்கொண்டாடினான்.
38 And Absalom fled and went to Talmai the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur, and was there three years.
அப்சலோம் கேசூருக்குத் தப்பி ஓடிப்போனபின், அங்கே மூன்று வருடங்கள் தங்கியிருந்தான்.
39 And the spirit of the king longed to go to Absalom, for he was consoled about the death of Amnon.
அரசன் தாவீதுக்கு அம்னோனின் மரணத்தால் ஏற்பட்ட துக்கம் ஆறினபின் அப்சலோமிடம் போகவேண்டும் என்ற ஆவல் ஏற்பட்டது.
