1 Timothy 5
1 Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;
ᎤᏛᏐᏅᎯ ᏞᏍᏗ ᏱᎬᏍᎪᎸᏁᏍᏗ, ᎯᏍᏗᏰᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᎠᎦᏴᎵᎨ ᎾᏍᎩᏯᎢ, ᎠᏂᏫᏅᏃ ᎢᏣᏓᏅᏟ ᎾᏍᎩᏯᎢ,
2 the older women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.
ᎠᎾᎦᏴᎵᎨᏃ ᎠᏂᎨᏴ ᏗᏣᏥ ᎾᏍᎩᏯᎢ, ᎠᏂᏫᏅᎨᏃ ᎠᏂᎨᏴ ᏤᏣᏙ ᎾᏍᎩᏯᎢ, ᎤᏐᏅ ᏄᏓᏑᏴᎾ.
3 Honor widows who are widows indeed.
ᏕᎯᎸᏉᏕᏍᏗ ᏧᏃᏑᎶᏨᎯ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᏒ ᏧᏃᏑᎶᏨᎯ ᏱᎩ.
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety towards their own family, and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
ᎢᏳᏍᎩᏂ ᎩᎶ ᎤᏬᏑᎶᏨᎯ ᏧᏪᏥ ᎠᎴ ᏧᎵᏏ ᏯᏁᎭ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᎾᏕᎶᏆᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏧᏂᎸᏉᏙᏗᏱ ᏙᏧᏁᏅᏒ ᎠᏁᎯ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᎾᎫᏴᎡᏗᏱ ᏧᏂᎦᏴᎵᎨᎢ; ᎾᏍᎩᏰᏃ ᎣᏏᏳ, ᎠᎴ ᏧᏓᏂᎸᎢᏍᏗᏳ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎦᏔᎲᎢ.
5 Now she who is a widow indeed, and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
ᎾᏍᎩᏰᏃ Ꮎ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᎯ ᎤᏬᏑᎶᏨᎯ ᏥᎨᏐᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏩᏒᎯᏳ ᏥᎨᏐᎢ, ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎵᏍᎦᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏓᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏐ ᎠᏔᏲᏍᏗ ᎨᏒ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏓᏙᎵᏍᏙᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏂᏚᎵᏏᏂᏒ ᎠᎴ ᏂᏚᎩᏨᏂᏒᎢ.
6 But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.
ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᏄᏁᎸᎾ ᎡᎯ ᎤᏲᎱᏒᎯ ᎨᏐ ᎠᏏᏉ ᎠᎴᏂᏙᎲᎢ.
7 Also command these things, so that they will be without fault.
ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏕᏍᏗ ᎯᏁᎨᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎦᎨᎫᎢᏍᏙᏗ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎢᏳᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ.
8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
ᎢᏳᏍᎩᏂᏃ ᎩᎶ ᏂᏓᏛᏅᎢᏍᏓᏁᎲᎾ ᎢᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏧᏤᎵᎦ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮀ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎭ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏚᏓᏘᎿᎭᎥᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎤᏓᏱᎸ ᎪᎯᏳᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᏟ ᎤᏲᎢᏳ ᎡᏍᎦᏉ Ꮎ ᏄᏬᎯᏳᏒᎾ.
9 Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,
ᎤᏬᏑᎶᏨᎯ ᎠᎦᏎᏍᏗ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎢᏳᏃ ᏑᏓᎳᏍᎪᎯ ᎢᏳᏕᏘᏴᏛ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎶᏒᏍᏕᏍᏗ, ᏌᏉᏉ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎤᎾᏁᎳᏛᎯ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
10 being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
ᎢᏳᏃ ᎣᏍᏛ ᎠᏥᏃᎮᏍᎩ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎣᏏ ᏕᎤᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲᎢ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᏗᏂᏲᎵ ᏧᏛᎯᏍᏔᏅᎯ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎠᏁᏙᎯ ᏧᏍᏆᏂᎪᏔᏅᎯ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᎾᏓᏅᏘ ᏧᎾᎳᏏᏕᏂ ᏧᏬᏑᎴᎸᎯ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᏧᏍᏕᎸᏛ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᎠᏂᎩᎵᏲᎩ, ᎢᏳᏃ ᎤᏍᏓᏩᏛᏛ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ ᏂᎦᎥ ᎣᏍᏛ ᏗᎦᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᏗ ᎨᏒᎢ.
11 But refuse younger widows, for whenever their passions lead them away from Messiah, they desire to marry;
ᎠᏂᏫᏅᎨᏌᏂᏍᎩᏂ ᏧᏃᏑᎶᏨᎯ ᎩᏲᎢᏎᎮᏍᏗ; ᎢᏳᏰᏃ ᏄᎾᏁᎸᎾ ᏂᎦᎵᏍᏓ ᎠᏁᎲ, ᎦᎶᏁᏛᏃ ᎤᏁᎳᎩ ᎠᏁᎳ, ᎿᎭᏉ ᎤᎾᏚᎵᏍᎪ ᏧᎾᏨᏍᏗᏱ,
12 having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.
ᏧᎾᏚᎪᏓᏁᎸᎯ ᎨᏐᎢ ᏅᏗᎦᎵᏍᏙᏗᏍᎪ ᏕᎤᏂᏲᏒ ᎢᎬᏱᏱ ᎤᏃᎯᏳᏅᎢ.
13 Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.
ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎠᎾᏕᎶᏆᏍᎪ ᎤᎾᏓᏄᎸᏗ ᎢᏳᎾᎵᏍᏙᏗᏱ, ᎠᏁᏙᎵᏙᎰ ᏓᏓᏁᎳᏗᏒᎢ; ᎥᏝ ᎠᎴ ᎤᎾᏓᏄᎸᏗᏉ ᎤᏩᏒ ᏱᎨᏐᎢ, ᎾᏍᏉᏍᎩᏂ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎠᏂᏱᏙᎯ ᎨᏐᎢ ᎠᎴ ᎤᏂᏂᎳᏗᏌᏘ, ᎠᏂᏃᎮᏍᎩ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏂᏚᏳᎪᏛᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᏗᏱ.
14 I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for reviling.
ᎾᏍᎩᏃ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᎠᏆᏚᎵᎭ ᎠᏂᏫᏅᎨᏌᏂ ᏧᎾᏨᏍᏗᏱ, ᏗᏂᏲᎵ ᏧᏂᎾᏄᎪᏫᏍᏗᏱ, ᏧᏂᏍᏆᏂᎪᏙᏗᏱ ᏓᏂᏁᎸᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎬᏩᎾᏡᏗᏍᎩ ᏧᏂᎳᏅᏓᏕᏗᏱ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏒ ᎤᏐᏅ ᎬᏩᏂᏃᎮᏗᏱ.
15 For already some have turned aside after Satan.
ᎦᏳᎳᏰᏃ ᎢᎦᏛ ᎤᎾᎪᎸᏒ ᏎᏓᏂ ᎤᎾᏍᏓᏩᏕᏅ.
16 If any believing woman has widows, she must assist them, and do not let the church be burdened; that it might help those widows who are truly in need.
ᎢᏳᏃ ᎩᎶ ᎪᎯᏳᎲᏍᎩ ᎠᏍᎦᏯ ᎠᎴ ᎠᎨᏴ ᏚᏪᎧᎮᏍᏗ ᏧᏃᏑᎶᏨᎯ, ᎤᏅᏒᏉ ᏗᏂᏍᏕᎵᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᏞᏍᏗᏃ ᏧᎾᏁᎶᏗ ᎤᎾᏓᏡᎬ ᏱᏚᏂᏓᏁᎴᏍᏗ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᏗᎬᏩᏂᏍᏕᎸᏗ ᏱᎩ ᎤᏙᎯᏳᏒ ᏧᏃᏑᎶᏨᎯ ᎨᏒᎢ.
17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
ᎠᎴ ᏗᎨᎦᏁᎶᏗ ᏥᎩ ᎣᏍᏛ ᏧᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎯ ᏔᎵ ᎢᏳᏩᎫᏗ ᏕᏥᎸᏉᏕᏍᏗ, ᎠᎴ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮀ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᏎᏍᏗ ᎧᏃᎮᏛ ᎠᎴ ᏗᏕᏲᏗ ᎨᏒ ᏧᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎯ.
18 For the Scripture says, "Do not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain." And, "The laborer is worthy of his wages."
ᎯᎠᏰᏃ ᏂᎦᏛᎭ ᎦᎸᏉᏗ ᎪᏪᎵ; ᏞᏍᏗ ᏱᏲᏴᏑᎳᏁᏍᏗ ᏩᎦ ᎠᎦᏔᏙᎥᏗᏍᎩ; ᎠᎴ, ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎠᏛᏁᎯ ᎠᎦᎫᏴᎡᏗ ᎨᏐ ᏚᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎸᎢ.
19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.
ᏣᎦᏁᎶᏗ ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎠᏥᎳᏫᏎᎲᎢ ᏞᏍᏗ ᏱᏣᏛᏓᏍᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎬᏂ ᎠᏂᏔᎵ ᎠᎴ ᎠᏂᏦᎢ ᎤᏂᏃᎮᏛ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
20 Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.
ᎾᏃ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏅᎩ ᏕᎯᎬᏍᎪᎸᎥᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᏂᎦᏛ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎲᎢ, ᎾᏍᎩ ᎠᏂᏐᎢ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎤᏂᎾᏰᏍᏗᏱ.
21 I command you in the sight of God, and Messiah Jesus, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
ᎬᏁᏤᎭ ᎤᏁᎳᏅᎯ ᎠᎦᏔᎲᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᎤᎬᏫᏳᎯ ᏥᏌ ᎦᎶᏁᏛ ᎠᎴ ᎨᎦᏑᏰᏛ ᏗᏂᎧᎿᎭᏩᏗᏙᎯ ᎠᏂᎦᏔᎲᎢ, ᎯᎠ ᎾᏍᎩ ᏣᎦᏌᏯᏍᏙᏗᏱ ᎢᎬᏱ ᎦᏰᎯ ᏂᏚᎪᏗᏍᎬᎾ, ᎠᎴ ᏕᏣᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲ ᎩᎶ ᏂᏯᎵᎪᏁᎲᎾ.
22 Do not ordain anyone hastily, nor participate in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.
ᏞᏍᏗ ᎤᎵᏍᏗ ᏱᏘᏯᏏᏔᏕᏍᏗ ᎩᎶᎢ, ᎠᎴ ᏞᏍᏗ ᏯᏖᎳᏗᏍᎨᏍᏗ ᎩᎶ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏅᎬᎢ. ᏣᏓᎦᏌᏯᏍᏕᏍᏗ ᎯᎦᏓᎭ ᏂᎨᏒᎾ ᎨᏎᏍᏗ.
23 Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities.
ᎿᎭᏉ ᏞᏍᏗ ᎠᎹᏉ ᏯᏗᏔᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎤᏍᏗᏍᎩᏂ ᎩᎦᎨ-ᎠᏗᏔᏍᏗ ᎭᏗᏔᏍᎨᏍᏗ, ᎪᎱᏍᏗ ᎭᎵᏍᏗᏍᎬ ᎢᏳᏍᏗ ᏦᎸᎯᏍᏗᏱ ᎠᎴ ᏯᏃᏉ ᏣᏢᏥᏰᏍᎬᎢ.
24 The sins of some people are obvious, going before them to judgment, but those of others show up later.
ᎩᎶ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏅᎬ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎨᏐ ᎢᎬᏪᏅᏛ, ᎢᎬᏱ ᏫᎦᎷᎪ ᏗᎫᎪᏙᏗᏱ ᎨᏒᎢ, ᎩᎶᏃ ᎤᎨᏍᏓᏩᏕᎪᎢ.
25 In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise cannot be hidden.
ᎾᏍᎩᏯ ᎾᏍᏉ ᎩᎶ ᎣᏍᏛ ᏚᏂᎸᏫᏍᏓᏁᎲ ᎬᏂᎨᏒ ᎨᏐ ᎢᎬᏪᏅᏛ; ᎩᎶᏃ ᎾᏍᎩ Ꮎ ᎯᎠ ᏄᏍᏛᎾ ᏱᎩ, ᎠᏎ Ꮭ ᎦᎬᏍᎦᎶᏗ ᏱᎨᏐᎢ.
