< 1 Samuel 25 >

1 Samuel died; and all Israel gathered themselves together, and lamented him, and buried him in his house at Ramah. David arose, and went down to the wilderness of Maon.
Ita, natayen ni Samuel. Naguummong amin nga Israelita ket nagladingitda para kenkuana, ket intabonda isuna iti balayna idiay Rama. Kalpasanna, nagrubwat ni David ket simmalog a nagturong iti let-ang ti Paran.
2 There was a man in Maon, whose possessions were in Carmel; and the man was very great, and he had three thousand sheep, and a thousand goats: and he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.
Adda maysa a lalaki idiay Maon, a dagiti sanikuana ket adda idiay Carmel. Nakabakbaknang daytoy a lalaki. Addaan isuna iti tallo ribu a karnero ken sangaribu a kalding. Pukpukisanna dagiti karnerona idiay Carmel.
3 Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail. And the woman was intelligent and beautiful, but the man was harsh and evil in his dealings; and the man was a Calebite.
Nabal ti nagan ti lalaki, ket Abigail ti nagan ti asawana. Nalaing ken napintas daytoy a babai. Ngem ti lalaki ket naranggas ken dakes ti pannakilangenna. Kaputotan isuna ni Caleb.
4 David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep.
Nadamag ni David idiay let-ang a pukpukisan ni Nabal dagiti karnerona.
5 So David sent ten young men, and said to the young men, "Go up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.
Isu a nangibaon ni David iti sangapulo nga agtutubo a lallaki. Kinuna ni David kadagiti agtutubo a lallaki, “Sumang-atkayo idiay Carmel, mapankayo kenni Nabal, ket kablaawanyo isuna iti naganko.
6 Thus you are to say to my brother, 'Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.
Ibagayonto kenkuana 'Agbiagka iti kinarang-ay, kappia koma ti adda kenka ken iti balaymo, ken adda koma kappia iti amin nga adda kenka.
7 And now, look, I have heard that you have shearers. Now your shepherds have been with us in the wilderness, and we did not hurt them, neither was there anything missing from them, all the while they were in Carmel.
Nadamagko nga adda dagiti para-pukis kadagiti karnerom. Kaduami dagiti para-pastormo, ket saanmi ida a dinangran, ken iti las-ud ti kaaddada ditoy Carmel, awan ti napukaw kadakuada.
8 Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let the young men find favor in your eyes; for we come in a good day. Please give whatever comes to your hand, to your servants, and to your son David.'"
Damagem dagiti agtutubo a tattaom, ket ibagada kenka. Ita, sapay koma ta maay-ayoka kadagiti agtutubo a tattaok, ta umaykaminto iti aldaw ti panagrambak. Pangngaasim ta mangtedka iti aniaman nga adda kenka kadagiti adipenmo ken iti anakmo a ni David.”'
9 So the young men came and spoke to Nabal according to all those words on David's behalf, but he behaved arrogantly.
Idi simmangpet dagiti agtutubo a tattao ni David, imbagada amin daytoy kenni Nabal iti nagan ni David ket nagurayda.
10 Nabal answered David's servants, and said, "Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants who break away from their masters these days.
Simmungbat ni Nabal kadagiti adipen ni David, “Siasino koma ni David? Ket siasino koma ti anak ni Jesse? Adu dagiti adipen kadagitoy nga al-aldaw nga itartarayanda ti apoda.
11 Shall I then take my bread, and my wine, and my meat that I have slaughtered for the shearers of my sheep, and give it to men who I do not know where they come from?"
Rumbeng kadi nga alaek ti tinapayko ken ti danumko ken ti karne ti pinartik nga agpaay koma kadagiti para-pukis a tattaok, ket itedko dagitoy kadagiti immay a lallaki a saanko nga ammo no sadino ti naggapuanda?”
12 So David's young men turned on their way, and went back, and came and told him according to all these words.
Isu a nagsubli dagiti agtutubo a tattao ni David, ket imbagada kenkuana amin a naibaga.
13 David said to his men, "Every man put on his sword." So every man put on his sword. David also put on his sword. About four hundred men followed David; and two hundred stayed by the baggage.
Kinuna ni David kadagiti tattaona, “Ibarekesyo ti kampilanyo.” Ket imbarikes ti tunggal maysa ti kampilanna. Imbarikes met ni David ti kampilanna. Agarup uppat a gasut a lallaki ti simmurot kenni David, ket nagtalinaed ti dua gasut a nangbantay kadagiti gargaretda.
14 But one of the young men told Abigail, Nabal's wife, saying, "Look, David sent messengers out of the wilderness to greet our master; and he railed at them.
Ngem maysa kadagiti agtutubo a lalaki ti nangibaga kenni Abigail nga asawa ni Nabal; kinunana, “Nangibaon ni David kadagiti mensaherona manipud iti let-ang a mangkablaaw iti amomi, ngem pinabainanna ida.
15 But the men were very good to us, and we were not hurt, nor did we miss anything as long as we went with them, when we were in the fields.
Idinto ta nagimbag dagiti lallaki kadakami. Saandakami a dinangran ken awan ti aniaman a napukaw bayat a sumursurotkami kadakuada idi addakami kadagiti away.
16 They were a wall to us both by night and by day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.
Arigna nga isuda ti nagbalin a padermi iti aldaw ken rabii, kadagiti gundaway a kaduami ida a mangay-aywan kadagiti karnero.
17 Now therefore know and consider what you will do; for evil is determined against our master, and against all his house; for he is such a worthless fellow that one can't speak to him."
Isu nga utobem daytoy ket kitaem no ania ti maaramidmo, ta dakes ti naikeddeng para iti apomi, ken iti sangkabalayanna. Awan ti serserbina a tao ta awan ti siasinoman a makabael nga agkalintegan kenkuana.”
18 Then Abigail hurried and took two hundred loaves of bread, two bottles of wine, five sheep ready dressed, five measures of parched grain, one hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on donkeys.
Nagdardaras ngarud ni Abigail ket nangala iti dua gasut a tinapay, dua a pagkargaan a lalat a naglaon iti arak, lima a napartin a karnero, lima a sukat nga iniruban a trigo, sangagasut a raay ti pasas, ken dua gasut a bibingka a naaramid iti igos, ket inkargana dagitoy kadagiti asno.
19 She said to her young men, "Go on before me. Look, I come after you." But she did not tell her husband.
Kinunana kadagiti agtutubo a tattaona, “Umunakayon, ket sumarunoak kadakayo.” Ngem saanna nga imbaga daytoy iti asawana a ni Nabal.
20 It was so, as she rode on her donkey, and came down by the covert of the mountain, that look, David and his men came down toward her; and she met them.
Iti isasakayna iti asnona a sumalog iti nalinged a paset ti bantay, simmalog ni David ken dagiti tattaona nga agturong iti ayanna, ket nasabatna ida.
21 Now David had said, "Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow has in the wilderness, so that nothing was missed of all that pertained to him. He has returned me evil for good.
Ita, kinuna ni David, “Awan serserbi ti panangbanbantaymi iti amin nga adda iti daytoy a tao idiay let-ang, tapno awan ti mapukaw kadagiti amin a kukuana, ket ita dakes ti isupapakna iti kinaimbagko,
22 God do so to David, and more also, if I leave of all that belongs to him by the morning light so much as one who urinates on a wall."
Sapay koma ta nalablabes pay aramiden ti Dios kaniak, a ni David, no inton bigat ket mangibatiak iti uray maysa a lalaki iti pamiliana.”
23 When Abigail saw David, she hurried, and got off from her donkey, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground at his feet.
Idi nakita ni Abigail ni David, nagdardaras isuna a dimsaag iti asnona ket nagrukob iti sangngoanan ni David.
24 And she said, "On me, my lord, be the guilt; and please let your servant speak to you directly, and hear the words of your servant.
Nagrukob isuna iti sakaanan ni David ket kinunana, “Apok, siak laengen koma ti pabasolem. Pangngaasim ta palubosam koma nga agsao kenka ti adipenmo, ken denggem dagiti sasao ti adipenmo.
25 Please do not let my lord regard this worthless fellow, for as his name is, so is he. Nabal is his name, and folly is with him; but I, your servant, did not see the young men whom you sent.
Saan koma nga ikankano ti apok daytoy awan serserbina a tao a ni Nabal, ta kas iti naganna, kasta met isuna. Nabal ti naganna, ken kinamaag ti adda kenkuana. Ngem siak nga adipenmo, saanko a nakita dagiti agtutubo a tattao ti apok, nga imbaonmo.
26 Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, since the LORD has withheld you from blood guiltiness, and from avenging yourself with your own hand, now therefore let your enemies, and those who seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.
Isu nga ita, o apok, iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, ken iti naganmo, agsipud ta linappedannaka ni Yahweh iti panangpasayasaymo iti dara, ken iti panagibalesmo babaen kadagiti imam, ita, sapay koma ta dagiti kabusormo, ken dagidiay aggandat nga agaramid iti kinadakes iti apok, ket maitulad kenni Nabal.
27 Now this present which your servant has brought to my lord, let it be given to the young men who follow my lord.
Ket ita, alaem daytoy a sagut nga inyeg ti adipenmo nga agpaay iti apok, maitedkoma daytoy kadagiti agtutubo a lallaki a sumursurot iti apok.
28 Please forgive the trespass of your servant. For the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house, because my lord fights the battles of the LORD; and evil shall not be found in you all your days.
Pangngaasim ta pakawanem ti nagbasolan ti adipenmo, ta awan duadua a patalgedento ni Yahweh ti apok a kas iti natalged a balay, gapu ta makirangranget ti apok kadagiti gubat ni Yahweh; ket awan ti makita a dakes kenka kabayatan ti panagbiagmo.
29 Though men may rise up to pursue you, and to seek your soul, yet the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD your God. He will sling out the souls of your enemies, as from the hollow of a sling.
Ket uray adda dagiti tattao a mangbusor ken manganup kenka a mangpukaw iti biagmo, pagtalinaedennakanto latta a sibibiag ni Yahweh a Diosmo; ket arigna ipallatibongna dagiti kabusormo, a kas iti bato a naibala iti pallatibong.
30 It shall come to pass, when the LORD has done to my lord according to all the good that he has spoken concerning you, and shall have appointed you prince over Israel,
Ket mapasamakto daytoy, inton maaramid ni Yahweh iti apok amin a naimbag a banag nga inkarina kenka, ken inton pagbalinennaka a pangulo iti Israel,
31 that this will have no cause of grief or a troubled conscience for my lord, that blood was shed without cause and that my lord has gained victory by his own hand. And when the LORD has done well with my lord, then remember your servant."
daytoy ket saanmonto a pagladingitan, wenno saanto a pagsakitan ti nakem ti apok, ta saanmo a pinagsayasay ti dara nga awan gapgapuna, ket saanka a nagibales. Ket inton ited ni Yahweh ti balligi iti apok, lagipem ti adipenmo.”
32 David said to Abigail, "Blessed is the LORD, the God of Israel, who sent you this day to meet me.
Kinuna ni David kenni Abigail, “Madaydayaw koma ni Yahweh a Dios ti Israel, a nangibaon kenka a sumabat kaniak ita nga aldaw.
33 Blessed is your discretion, and blessed are you, that have kept me this day from blood guiltiness, and from avenging myself with my own hand.
Ket mabendisionan ti kinasiribmo, ken mabendisionanka koma, gapu ta inlisinak ita iti basol manipud iti panagsayasay ti dara, ken iti panagibalesko babaen iti imak.
34 For indeed, as the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, who has withheld me from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, surely there wouldn't have been left to Nabal by the morning light so much as one who urinates on a wall."
Ta ti kinapudnona, iti nagan ni Yahweh nga adda iti agnanayon, a Dios ti Israel, isuna a nanglapped kaniak a mangdangran kenka, no saanka a nagdardaras a nangsabat kaniak, awan duadua nga awan koman ti nabati kenni Nabal nga uray maysa nga ubing a lalaki a nabigatan.”
35 So David received of her hand that which she had brought him: and he said to her, "Go up in peace to your house. Look, I have listened to your voice, and have granted your request."
Inawat ngarud ni David manipud iti ima ni Abigail dagiti inyegna para kenkuana; kinunana kenkuana, “Agawidkan iti balayyo nga addaan kappia; kitaem, dinengngegko ti timekmo ket inawatka.”
36 Abigail came to Nabal; and look, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king. Nabal's heart was merry within him, for he was very drunk. Therefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light.
Nagsubli ni Abigail kenni Nabal; ket adda parambak nga inangayna iti balayna, kas iti parambak ti maysa nga ari; ket kasta unay ti ragsak ti puso ni Nabal, ta kasta unay ti bartekna. Isu nga awan a pulos ti imbagbaga ni Abigail kenkuana agingga a limmawagen iti kabigatanna.
37 It happened in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, that his wife told him these things, and his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.
Ket napasamak nga iti kabigatanna, idi nausawanen ni Nabal, imbaga ti asawana kenkuana dagitoy a banbanag; naatake iti puso, ket nagbalin isuna a kasla bato.
38 It happened about ten days after, that the LORD struck Nabal, so that he died.
Ket napasamak a kalpasan ti sangapulo nga aldaw, dinusa ni Yahweh ni Nabal isu a natay.
39 And David heard, and he said, "Blessed is the LORD, who has taken my side in the matter of Nabal's insult, and has kept back his servant from evil. The LORD has returned the evildoing of Nabal on his own head." David sent and spoke concerning Abigail, to take her to him as wife.
Idi nadamag ni David a natayen ni Nabal, kinunana, “Madaydayaw ni Yahweh, a nangibales iti pannakaibabainko manipud iti ima ni Nabal, ket inlisina ti adipenna iti dakes. Ket ti dakes nga aramid ni Nabal ket insublina kenkuana.” Kalpasanna, nangibaon ni David kadagiti adipen ket imbagada kenni Abigail nga alaenda isuna tapno agbalin nga asawana.
40 When the servants of David had come to Abigail to Carmel, they spoke to her, saying, "David has sent us to you, to take you to be his wife."
Idi dimteng dagiti adipen ni David kenni Abigail idiay Carmel, nagsaoda kenkuana ket kinunada, “Imbaonnakami ni David tapno alaendaka nga ipan kenkuana kas asawana.”
41 She got up and bowed herself with her face to the ground, and said, "Look, your servant is a lowly servant to wash the feet of your servants."
Timmakder isuna, nagrukob iti daga, ket kinunana, “Toy adipenyo a babai ket adipen a rumbeng laeng a mangbuggo iti saka dagiti adipen ti apok.”
42 Then Abigail got up quickly and rode on a donkey, and with five female servants following her; and she followed the messengers of David, and became his wife.
Timmakder ni Abigail ket nagdardaras a simmakay iti asnona a kaduana dagiti lima a babbai nga adipenna a simmurot kenkuana; sinurotna dagiti mensahero ni David ket nagbalin isuna nga asawa ni David.
43 David also took Ahinoam of Jezreel; and they both became his wives.
Inasawa met ni David ni Ahinoam a taga-Jezreel; duada a nagbalin nga asawana.
44 Now Saul had given Mikal his daughter, David's wife, to Palti the son of Laish, who was of Gallim.
Ita inyawat ni Saul ti babai nga anakna a ni Mical a sigud nga asawa ni David, kenni Palti nga anak ni Lais a taga-Galim.
