1 Corinthians 12
1 Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.
ভাইবোনেরা, এখন আত্মিক বরদানগুলির ব্যাপারে তোমরা যে অজ্ঞ থাকো, তা আমি চাই না।
2 You know that when you were unbelievers, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.
তোমরা জানো যে, যখন তোমরা পরজাতীয় ছিলে, তখন যে কোনোভাবে হোক তোমরা প্রভাবিত হয়ে নির্বাক প্রতিমাদের দিকে চালিত হয়েছিলে।
3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.
সেই কারণে, আমি তোমাদের বলছি যে, ঈশ্বরের আত্মার দ্বারা কথা বললে, “যীশু অভিশপ্ত হোক,” কেউ বলতে পারে না এবং পবিত্র আত্মার আবেশ ছাড়া কেউ বলতে পারে না যে, “যীশুই প্রভু।”
4 Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.
বিভিন্ন ধরনের বরদান আছে, কিন্তু আত্মা সেই একই।
5 There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.
বিভিন্ন ধরনের সেবাকাজ আছে, কিন্তু প্রভু সেই একই।
6 There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.
বিভিন্ন ধরনের কাজ আছে, কিন্তু সেই একই ঈশ্বর সব মানুষের মধ্যে সেইসব কাজ করেন।
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.
এখন সবার মঙ্গলের জন্য প্রত্যেকের কাছে আত্মার প্রকাশ দেওয়া হয়েছে।
8 For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;
একজনকে আত্মার মাধ্যমে দেওয়া হয়েছে জ্ঞানের বাণী, অপর একজনকে সেই একই আত্মার দ্বারা প্রজ্ঞার বাণী,
9 to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the one Spirit;
অপর একজনকে সেই আত্মার দ্বারা বিশ্বাস, অপর একজনকে সেই একই আত্মার দ্বারা সুস্থ করার বরদান,
10 and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; to another different kinds of tongues; and to another the interpretation of tongues.
অপর একজনকে অলৌকিক কাজ করার পরাক্রম, অপর একজনকে ভাববাণী, আর একজনকে আত্মার মধ্যে পার্থক্য নির্ণয়ের ক্ষমতা, অপর একজনকে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ভাষায় কথা বলার ক্ষমতা এবং আরও অপরজনকে বিশেষ বিশেষ ভাষার তর্জমা করার ক্ষমতা দেওয়া হয়েছে।
11 But the one and the same Spirit works all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.
এসবই সেই এক ও অদ্বিতীয় আত্মার কাজ, তিনি প্রত্যেকের জন্য যেমন নির্ধারণ করেন, তেমনই বরদান দিয়ে থাকেন।
12 For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Messiah.
দেহ যেমন এক, যদিও তা বহু অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গ নিয়ে গঠিত; আর যদিও এর অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গ অনেক, সেগুলি এক দেহ গঠন করে। খ্রীষ্টের ক্ষেত্রেও সেই কথা।
13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink of one Spirit.
কারণ আমরা সবাই—ইহুদি বা গ্রিক, ক্রীতদাস বা স্বাধীন—এক আত্মার দ্বারা একই দেহে বাপ্তাইজিত হয়েছি, আবার আমাদের সবাইকে একই আত্মা পান করতে দেওয়া হয়েছিল।
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
এখন দেহ কেবলমাত্র একটি অঙ্গ দিয়ে নয়, কিন্তু বহু অঙ্গের দ্বারা গঠিত।
15 If the foot would say, "Because I'm not a hand, I'm not part of the body," that would not make it less a part of the body.
পা যদি বলে, “যেহেতু আমি হাত নই, তাই দেহের অংশ নই,” সেই কারণে যে সে দেহের অংশ হবে না, তা নয়।
16 And if the ear would say, "Because I'm not the eye, I'm not part of the body," that would not make it less a part of the body.
আবার, কান যদি বলে, “আমি যেহেতু চোখ নই, তাই আমি দেহের অংশ নই,” এই কারণের জন্য তা যে দেহের অংশ হবে না, তা নয়।
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
সমস্ত দেহই যদি চোখ হত, তাহলে শোনার ক্ষমতা কোথায় থাকত? সমস্ত দেহই যদি কান হত, তাহলে গন্ধ পাওয়ার ক্ষমতা কোথায় থাকত?
18 But as a matter of fact, God has arranged the members of the body, each one of them, according to his design.
কিন্তু ঈশ্বর প্রকৃতপক্ষে দেহের অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গগুলির প্রত্যেকটিকে নিজের ইচ্ছামতো সাজিয়েছেন।
19 If they were all the same member, where would the body be?
সবই যদি এক অঙ্গ হত, তাহলে দেহ কোথায় থাকত?
20 So now there are many members, but one body.
আসলে, অঙ্গপ্রত্যঙ্গ অনেক, কিন্তু দেহ একটাই।
21 The eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need for you," or again the head to the feet, "I have no need for you."
চোখ হাতকে বলতে পারে না, “তোমাকে আমার প্রয়োজন নেই!” আবার মাথা পা-কে বলতে পারে না, “তোমাকে আমার প্রয়োজন নেই!”
22 On the contrary, those members which seem to be weaker are essential,
তার পরিবর্তে, দেহের যেসব অঙ্গকে অপেক্ষাকৃত দুর্বল মনে হয়, সেগুলিই অপরিহার্য
23 and the parts which we think less honorable we treat with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with dignity,
এবং যে অঙ্গগুলিকে আমরা কম মর্যাদাপূর্ণ বলে মনে করি, সেগুলিকে আমরা বিশেষ মর্যাদা দিয়ে থাকি। এছাড়া যেসব অঙ্গ সুশ্রী নয়, সেগুলি বিশেষ শালীনতার সঙ্গে যত্ন নিয়ে থাকি,
24 whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the lesser member,
অথচ আমাদের সুশ্রী অঙ্গগুলির বিশেষ যত্নের প্রয়োজন হয় না। কিন্তু ঈশ্বর দেহের অঙ্গগুলিকে একত্র সংগঠিত করেছেন এবং যে অঙ্গগুলি শ্রীহীন, সেগুলিকে বেশি মর্যাদা দিয়েছেন,
25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same concern for one another.
যেন দেহের মধ্যে কোনও বিভেদ সৃষ্টি না হয়, কিন্তু সব অঙ্গ পরস্পরের প্রতি সমান যত্নবান হয়।
26 When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.
যদি কোনো একটি অঙ্গ কষ্টভোগ করে, তাহলে তার সঙ্গে প্রত্যেকটি অঙ্গই কষ্টভোগ করে। কোনো একটি অঙ্গ মর্যাদা লাভ করলে, তার সঙ্গে প্রত্যেক অঙ্গই আনন্দ করে।
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
এখন তোমরা হলে খ্রীষ্টের দেহ এবং এক একজন সেই দেহের এক-একটি অঙ্গ।
28 God has set some in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracle workers, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, and various kinds of tongues.
আর ঈশ্বর মণ্ডলীতে নিয়োগ করেছেন, প্রথমত প্রেরিতশিষ্যদের, দ্বিতীয়ত ভাববাদীদের, তৃতীয়ত শিক্ষকদের। তারপরে, অলৌকিক ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত, সুস্থ করার ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত, সাহায্য করার ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত, প্রশাসনিক বরদানপ্রাপ্ত, এবং বিভিন্ন ধরনের ভাষা বলার ক্ষমতাপ্রাপ্ত তাদের নিয়োগ করেছেন।
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all miracle workers?
সবাই কি প্রেরিতশিষ্য? সবাই কি ভাববাদী? সবাই কি শিক্ষক? সবাই কি অলৌকিক কাজ সম্পাদন করে?
30 Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
সবারই কি সুস্থ করার বরদান আছে? সবাই কি ভিন্ন ভিন্ন ভাষায় কথা বলে? সবাই কি অর্থ ব্যাখ্যা করে?
31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. Moreover, I show a most excellent way to you.
তোমরা বরং মহত্তর বরদান পাওয়ার জন্য আগ্রহভরে কামনা করো। তবে আমি এবার তোমাদের সর্বশ্রেষ্ঠ পন্থা দেখাতে চাই।
