< Song of Solomon 3 >

1 By night on my bed, I sought him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I did not find him.
Medi ame si nye dzi lɔ̃na la le nye aba dzi zã blibo la katã; medii, gake nyemekpɔe o.
2 I will get up now, and go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek him whom my soul loves. I sought him, but I did not find him.
Matso azɔ ayi aɖadii le dua me, le ablɔwo dzi kple kpɔdomewo. Matsa adi ame si nye dzi lɔ̃na la, ale medii ʋuu keke, gake nyemekpɔe o.
3 The watchmen who go about the city found me; "Have you seen him whom my soul loves?"
Esi mele tsatsam le dua me le edim la, medo go zãdzɔlawo, eye mebia wo be, “Miekpɔ ame si nye dzi lɔ̃na la mahã?”
4 I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, into the chamber of her who conceived me.
Nyemekpɔ dze le wo ŋu hafi kpɔ ame si nye dzi lɔ̃na la o. Meku ɖe eŋu goŋgoŋgoŋ be madzo o, va se ɖe esime mekplɔe yi danye ƒe aƒe me, yi ɖe ame si dzim la ƒe xɔ me.
5 I adjure you, daughters of Jerusalem, by the gazelles, or by the does of the field, that you not stir up, nor awaken love, until it so desires.
Yerusalem nyɔnuviwo, meta sãde kple zinɔ le gbe me na mi be, “Migaʋuʋu lɔlɔ̃ alo anyɔe o, va se ɖe esime eya ŋutɔ nalɔ̃ hafi.”
6 Who is this who comes up from the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all spices of the merchant?
Ame kae nye esi gbɔna tso gbegbe abe dzudzɔ babla si wotɔtɔ kple lifi kple atike ʋeʋĩ si wowɔ kple nu vovovo siwo woƒle le asitsalawo si la ene?
7 Look, it is Solomon's carriage. Sixty mighty men are around it, of the mighty men of Israel.
Kpɔ ɖa, Solomo ƒe tasiaɖam ye! Kalẽtɔ blaade siwo nye aʋakalẽtɔ akuakuawo tso Israel ƒe aʋakɔwo dome la le eŋu dzɔm.
8 They all handle the sword, and are expert in war. Every man has his sword on his thigh, because of fear in the night.
Wo katã wota yi ɖe aklito, wobi ɖe aʋawɔwɔ me, woƒe asiwo le woƒe yiwo dzi, eye wole klalo na zãmeŋɔdzi ɖe sia ɖe.
9 King Solomon made himself a carriage of the wood of Lebanon.
Fia Solomo ŋutɔe wɔ tasiaɖam la na eɖokui, ewɔe kple ʋuƒo siwo wotsɔ tso Lebanon.
10 He made its pillars of silver, its bottom of gold, its seat of purple, its midst being paved with love, from the daughters of Jerusalem.
Ewɔ eƒe afɔtiwo kple klosalo, eye wòwɔ egɔme kple sika. Wotsɔ agovɔ nyuitɔ wɔ zikpui si le eme, eye wotsɔ Yerusalem nyɔnuviwo ƒe lɔlɔ̃ ɖo atsyɔ̃ na emee.
11 Go forth, you daughters of Zion, and see king Solomon, with the crown with which his mother has crowned him, in the day of his weddings, in the day of the gladness of his heart.
