< Romans 1 >
1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the Good News of God,
2 which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,
o Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega eeranĩire o mbere na tũnua twa anabii ake thĩinĩ wa Maandĩko marĩa Matheru,
3 concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring of David according to the flesh,
ũrĩa ũkoniĩ Mũrũwe, ũrĩa ta mũndũ warĩ wa rũciaro rwa Daudi.
4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord,
5 through whom we received grace and the office of apostle, for obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;
kũgerera we Ngai nĩatũheete wega wake, na agatũhe ũhoti ta atũmwo nĩguo twĩre andũ-a-Ndũrĩrĩ ciothe kũndũ guothe ũrĩa Ngai amekĩire, nĩguo mamwĩtĩkie na mamwathĩkĩre, nĩguo matũme rĩĩtwa rĩake rĩgoocagwo.
6 among whom you are also called to belong to Jesus Christ;
O na inyuĩ mũrĩ amwe a acio metĩtwo matuĩke a Jesũ Kristũ.
7 to all who are in Rome, loved by God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ndĩramwandĩkĩra marũa maya inyuothe arĩa mũrĩ kũu Roma, o inyuĩ mwendetwo nĩ Ngai, na mũgetwo mũtuĩke andũ aamũre: Wega na thayũ kuuma kũrĩ Ngai Ithe witũ, na kuuma kũrĩ Mwathani Jesũ Kristũ, iroikara na inyuĩ.
8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.
O mbere nĩngũcookeria Ngai wakwa ngaatho thĩinĩ wa Jesũ Kristũ nĩ ũndũ wanyu inyuothe, tondũ ũhoro wa wĩtĩkio wanyu nĩũmenyithanĩtio thĩ yothe.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how I constantly mention you
10 always in my prayers, requesting, if by any means now at last I may succeed by the will of God to come to you.
mahooya-inĩ makwa hĩndĩ ciothe; na nĩndĩrahooya atĩ rĩu nĩ ũndũ wa kwenda kwa Ngai no hingũrĩrwo njĩra nĩguo njũke kũrĩ inyuĩ.
11 For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you;
Nĩndĩrerirĩria mũno tuonane na inyuĩ nĩgeetha ndĩmũgaĩre iheo cia kĩĩroho nĩguo muongererwo hinya,
12 that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith, both yours and mine.
13 Now I do not desire to have you unaware, brothers, that I often planned to come to you, and was hindered so far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the other non-Jewish people.
Ariũ na aarĩ a Ithe witũ, ndikwenda mwage kũmenya atĩ nĩ mahinda maingĩ ndanabanga kũmũceerera (no ndanagirĩrĩrio gwĩka ũguo nginya rĩu) nĩgeetha ngĩe na maciaro thĩinĩ wanyu, o ta ũrĩa ngĩĩte na maciaro thĩinĩ wa andũ-a-Ndũrĩrĩ iria ingĩ.
14 I have an obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.
15 So, for my part, I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who are in Rome.
Nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩkĩo ndĩriragĩria mũno kũhunjia Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega o na kũrĩ inyuĩ arĩa mũtũũraga Roma.
16 For I am not ashamed of the Good News, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.
Niĩ ndingĩconokera Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega, tondũ nĩguo hinya wa Ngai wa gũtũma mũndũ o wothe ũrĩa ũwĩtĩkĩtie ahonoke: O mbere Ayahudi, na thuutha wao nĩ andũ-a-Ndũrĩrĩ.
17 For in it is revealed God's righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, "But the righteous will live by faith."
Nĩgũkorwo thĩinĩ wa Ũhoro-ũrĩa-Mwega, ũthingu ũrĩa uumĩte kũrĩ Ngai nĩũguũrĩtio, na nĩguo ũthingu ũrĩa wonekaga na ũndũ wa gwĩtĩkia kuuma o kĩambĩrĩria nginya kĩrĩkĩro, o ta ũrĩa kwandĩkĩtwo atĩrĩ: “Mũndũ ũrĩa mũthingu arĩtũũraga muoyo nĩ ũndũ wa gwĩtĩkia.”
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people, who suppress the truth by unrighteousness,
19 because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them.
nĩgũkorwo maũndũ ma Ngai marĩa mangĩmenyeka nĩo matiagĩte kũmenyeka nĩo, tondũ Ngai nĩwe wamamenyithirie.
20 For since the creation of the world his invisible attributes, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. So they are without excuse.
21 Because, although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but their thinking became nonsense, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Tondũ o na harĩa maamenyete Ngai, matiigana kũmũgooca taarĩ Ngai, kana makĩmũcookeria ngaatho, no meciiria mao maatuĩkire ma tũhũ, nacio ngoro ciao ngĩĩgu ikĩgĩa nduma.
22 Claiming to be wise, they became fools,
Na o rĩrĩa moigaga atĩ o nĩ oogĩ-rĩ, noguo maatuĩkire irimũ,
23 and traded the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal humans, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and crawling creatures.
24 Therefore God also abandoned them in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves,
25 who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
Ameni. (aiōn )
26 For this reason, God abandoned them to their degrading passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature.
27 Likewise also the men, giving up natural relations with women, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.
28 Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God abandoned them to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not right;
29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,
Magatuĩka andũ a mũhuhu,
30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
na acambania, na athũũri Ngai, na aciinũrani, na egaathi, na etĩĩi, mathugundaga njĩra cia gwĩka ũũru, na andũ matangĩathĩkĩra aciari ao;
31 foolish, promise-breakers, heartless, unforgiving, unmerciful;
nao ti akuũku wega, na matitĩĩaga ũhoro ũrĩa mũrĩĩkanĩre, na nĩ ooru mũno, na matirĩ tha.
32 who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
Na o na gwatuĩka nĩmooĩ watho wa ũthingu wa Ngai atĩ andũ arĩa mekaga maũndũ ta macio maagĩrĩirwo nĩ gũkua, to gũthiĩ mathiiaga na mbere na gwĩka maũndũ macio tu, no nĩmetĩkanagia na andũ arĩa mekaga maũndũ macio.
