Romans 6
1 What should we say then? Should we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
௧ஆகவே, என்னசொல்லுவோம்? கிருபை பெருகுவதற்காகப் பாவத்திலே நிலைநிற்கலாம் என்று சொல்லுவோமா? சொல்லக்கூடாதே.
2 Absolutely not. We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?
௨பாவத்திற்கு மரித்த நாம் இனி அதிலே எப்படி வாழ்வோம்?
3 Or do you not know that all we who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
௩கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிற்குள்ளாக ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்ற நாம் அனைவரும் அவருடைய மரணத்திற்குள்ளாக ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றதை அறியாமல் இருக்கிறீர்களா?
4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
௪மேலும் பிதாவின் மகிமையினாலே கிறிஸ்து மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுப்பப்பட்டதுபோல, நாமும் புதிய ஜீவனுள்ளவர்களாக நடந்துகொள்வதற்கு, அவருடைய மரணத்திற்குள்ளாக்கும் ஞானஸ்நானத்தினாலே கிறிஸ்துவோடு அடக்கம் பண்ணப்பட்டோம்.
5 For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection;
௫ஆகவே, அவருடைய மரணத்தின் சாயலில் நாம் இணைக்கப்பட்டவர்களானால், அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுதலின் சாயலிலும் இணைக்கப்பட்டிருப்போம்.
6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
௬நாம் இனிப் பாவத்திற்கு அடிமையாக இல்லாதபடிக்கு, பாவசரீரம் ஒழிந்துபோவதற்காக, நம்முடைய பழைய மனிதன் அவரோடு சிலுவையில் அறையப்பட்டதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
௭மரித்தவன் பாவத்திற்கு நீங்கி விடுதலையாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறானே.
8 But if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him;
௮எனவே, கிறிஸ்துவோடு நாம் மரித்தோம் என்றால், அவரோடு பிழைத்தும் இருப்போம் என்று நம்புகிறோம்.
9 knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no more has dominion over him.
௯மரித்தோரிலிருந்து உயிரோடு எழுந்த கிறிஸ்து இனி இறப்பதில்லை என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; மரணம் இனி அவரை ஆண்டுகொள்ளுவதில்லை.
10 For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God.
௧0அவர் மரித்தது, பாவத்திற்கென்று ஒரேமுறை மரித்தார்; அவர் பிழைத்திருக்கிறது, தேவனுக்கென்று பிழைத்திருக்கிறார்.
11 In the same way, consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
௧௧அப்படியே நீங்களும், உங்களைப் பாவத்திற்கு மரித்தவர்களாகவும், நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவிற்குள் தேவனுக்கென்று பிழைத்திருக்கிறவர்களாகவும் எண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.
௧௨ஆகவே, நீங்கள் சரீர இச்சைகளின்படி பாவத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதற்காக, மரணத்திற்குரிய உங்களுடைய சரீரத்தில் பாவம் ஆளுகை செய்யாமல் இருக்கட்டும்.
13 Neither present your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God, as alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
௧௩நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய சரீர உறுப்புகளை அநீதியின் ஆயுதங்களாகப் பாவத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்காமல், உங்களை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து பிழைத்திருக்கிறவர்களாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, உங்களுடைய சரீர உறுப்புகளை நீதிக்குரிய ஆயுதங்களாக தேவனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுங்கள்.
14 For sin will not have dominion over you. For you are not under law, but under grace.
௧௪நீங்கள் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிராமல் கிருபைக்குக் கீழ்பட்டிருக்கிறதினால், பாவம் உங்களை மேற்கொள்ளமுடியாது.
15 What then? Should we sin because we are not under law, but under grace? Absolutely not.
௧௫இதினால் என்ன? நாம் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிராமல் கிருபைக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கிறதினால், பாவம் செய்யலாமா? செய்யக்கூடாதே.
16 Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, whether of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
௧௬மரணத்திற்குரிய பாவத்திற்கானாலும், நீதிக்குரிய கீழ்ப்படிதலுக்கானாலும், எதற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதற்காக உங்களை அடிமைகளாக ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறீர்களோ, அதற்கே அடிமைகளாக இருக்கிறீர்கள் என்று தெரியாமல் இருக்கிறீர்களா?
17 But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were entrusted.
௧௭முன்பு நீங்கள் பாவத்திற்கு அடிமைகளாக இருந்தும், இப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட உபதேச சட்டத்திற்கு நீங்கள் மனப்பூர்வமாகக் கீழ்ப்படிந்ததினாலே தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.
18 Being made free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
௧௮பாவத்திலிருந்து நீங்கள் விடுதலையாக்கப்பட்டு, நீதிக்கு அடிமைகளானீர்கள்.
19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh, for as you presented your members as slaves to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as slaves to righteousness for sanctification.
௧௯உங்களுடைய சரீர பலவீனத்தினால் மனிதர்கள் பேசுகிறதுபோலப் பேசுகிறேன். அக்கிரமத்தைச் செய்வதற்காக முன்பே நீங்கள் உங்களுடைய சரீர உறுப்புகளை அசுத்தத்திற்கும் அக்கிரமத்திற்கும் அடிமைகளாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததுபோல, இப்பொழுது பரிசுத்தமானதைச் செய்வதற்காக உங்களுடைய சரீர உறுப்புகளை நீதிக்கு அடிமையாக ஒப்புக்கொடுங்கள்.
20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
௨0பாவத்திற்கு நீங்கள் அடிமைகளாக இருந்தகாலத்தில் நீதிக்கு விலகினவர்களாக இருந்தீர்கள்.
21 What fruit then did you have at that time in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death.
௨௧இப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு வெட்கமாகத் தெரிகிற காரியங்களினாலே அந்தகாலத்தில் உங்களுக்கு என்ன பலன் கிடைத்தது? அவைகளின் முடிவு மரணமே.
22 But now, being made free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit of sanctification, and the result of everlasting life. (aiōnios g166)
௨௨இப்பொழுது நீங்கள் பாவத்தில் இருந்து விடுதலையாக்கப்பட்டு, தேவனுக்கு அடிமைகளானதினால், பரிசுத்தமாகுதல் உங்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கும் பலன், முடிவோ நித்தியஜீவன். (aiōnios g166)
