Romans 5
1 Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
Portanto, agora que somos justificados pela fé, tenhamos paz com Deus por meio do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
2 through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Por meio dele também temos acesso pela fé a esta graça, na qual estamos firmes, e nos alegramos na esperança da glória de Deus.
3 Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering works perseverance;
E não somente [isso], mas também nos alegramos nas tribulações, sabendo que a tribulação produz paciência;
4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope:
a paciência [produz] experiência, e a experiência [produz] esperança.
5 and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
E a esperança não frustra, porque o amor de Deus está derramado em nossos corações pelo Espírito Santo que nos foi dado.
6 For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
Pois quando ainda éramos fracos, Cristo morreu a seu tempo pelos ímpios.
7 For rarely does one die for the righteous. Yet perhaps for a good person someone might dare to die.
Ora, dificilmente alguém morre por um justo, ainda que talvez alguém possa ousar morrer por uma boa pessoa.
8 But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Mas Deus prova o seu amor por nós através de Cristo haver morrido por nós, quando ainda éramos pecadores.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God's wrath through him.
Por isso, muito mais agora, que já somos justificados por seu sangue, seremos por ele salvos da ira.
10 For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
Pois, se quando éramos inimigos, fomos reconciliados com Deus pela morte do seu Filho, muito mais, tendo sido reconciliados, seremos salvos pela sua vida.
11 Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
E não somente [isso], mas também nos alegramos em Deus por meio do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, por quem agora recebemos a reconciliação.
12 Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all people, because all sinned.
Portanto, assim como por um homem o pecado entrou no mundo, e pelo pecado a morte, assim também a morte passou a todos os seres humanos, porque todos pecaram.
13 For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.
Pois, antes da Lei, o pecado [já] existia no mundo; porém, quando não há Lei, o pecado não é considerado.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren't like Adam's disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.
Mas a morte reinou desde Adão até Moisés, até sobre aqueles que não pecaram à semelhança da transgressão de Adão, o qual era uma figura daquele que estava para vir.
15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
Mas o dom gratuito não é como a transgressão; porque, se pela transgressão de um, muitos morreram, muito mais a graça de Deus, e o dom pela graça de um homem, Jesus Cristo, têm sido abundantes sobre muitos.
16 The gift is not as through one who sinned: for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification.
E o dom não é como [a transgressão] de um que pecou; porque o julgamento de uma só [transgressão] trouxe condenação, mas o dom gratuito, de muitas transgressões, trouxe justificação.
17 For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
Pois, se pela transgressão de um, a morte reinou por causa desse, muito mais os que recebem a abundância da graça, e do dom da justiça reinarão em vida por um só, Jesus Cristo.
18 So then as through one trespass, all people were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all people were justified to life.
Portanto, assim como uma transgressão resultou em condenação sobre todos os seres humanos, assim também um ato de justiça resultou em justificação da vida sobre todos os seres humanos.
19 For as through the one man's disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.
Pois, assim como pela desobediência de um só homem muitos foram feitos pecadores, assim também, pela obediência de um só, muitos serão justificados.
20 The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;
A Lei veio para que a transgressão aumentasse; mas onde o pecado aumentou, a graça superabundou;
21 that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (aiōnios g166)
a fim de que, assim como o pecado reinou para a morte, também a graça reine pela justiça para a vida eterna, por meio de Jesus Cristo, nosso Senhor. (aiōnios g166)
