Romans 13
1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Ամէն անձ թող հպատակի իր վրայ եղած իշխանութիւններուն. որովհետեւ չկայ իշխանութիւն մը՝ որ Աստուծմէ չըլլայ, եւ անոնք որ կան՝ կարգուած են Աստուծմէ:
2 Therefore he who resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will incur judgment.
Հետեւաբար ո՛վ որ կ՚ընդդիմանայ իշխանութեան, կը դիմադրէ Աստուծոյ կարգադրութեան. եւ անոնք որ կը դիմադրեն՝ իրենք զիրենք կը դատապարտեն՝՝:
3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same,
Քանի որ իշխանները՝ բարի գործերու համար վախ չեն ազդեր, հապա՝ չար գործերու: Ուստի կ՚ուզե՞ս չվախնալ իշխանութենէն. բարի՛ն գործէ, եւ գովեստ պիտի ընդունիս անկէ:
4 for it is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God's servant to administer retribution on those who do what is wrong.
Որովհետեւ ան Աստուծոյ սպասարկուն է քեզի համար՝ որ բարի՛ն գործես. բայց եթէ չա՛րը գործես՝ վախցի՛ր, քանի որ զուր տեղը չէ որ սուր կը կրէ մէջքը. որովհետեւ Աստուծոյ սպասարկուն է, եւ վրէժխնդիր՝ բարկութիւն հասցնելու անոր վրայ՝ որ չարիք կը գործէ:
5 Therefore it is necessary to be in subjection, not only because of this retribution, but also as a matter of conscience.
Ուստի հա՛րկ է հպատակիլ. ո՛չ միայն բարկութեան համար, այլ նաեւ խղճմտանքի համար:
6 For this reason you also pay taxes, for they are servants of God, concerned with this very thing.
Այս պատճառով է որ տուրք ալ կը վճարէք. որովհետեւ Աստուծոյ պաշտօնեաներն են՝ բուն այս բանին յատկացուած:
7 Give therefore to everyone what you owe: taxes to whom taxes are due; customs to whom customs; respect to whom respect; honor to whom honor.
Ուրեմն հատուցանեցէ՛ք բոլորին ինչ որ կը պարտիք. որո՛ւն որ տուրք տրուելու է՝ տուրքը, որո՛ւն որ մաքս՝ մաքսը, որո՛ւն որ վախ՝ վախը, որո՛ւն որ պատիւ՝ պատիւը:
8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
Ո՛չ մէկ պարտք ունեցէք ոեւէ մէկուն, բացի զիրար սիրելէ. որովհետեւ ո՛վ որ կը սիրէ ընկերը՝ գործադրած կ՚ըլլայ Օրէնքը:
9 For the commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not give false testimony," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You are to love your neighbor as yourself."
Արդարեւ այն ըսուածը. «Շնութիւն մի՛ ըներ, սպանութիւն մի՛ ըներ, գողութիւն մի՛ ըներ, սուտ վկայութիւն մի՛ տար, մի՛ ցանկար», եւ եթէ կայ ուրիշ որեւէ պատուիրան՝ համառօտաբար կը բովանդակուի սա՛ խօսքին մէջ. «Սիրէ՛ ընկերդ քու անձիդ՝՝ պէս»:
10 Love does not harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
Սէրը ո՛չ մէկ չարիք կը գործէ իր ընկերին. ուրեմն սէ՛րն է Օրէնքին գործադրութիւնը:
11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed.
Նաեւ գիտնա՛նք ատենը՝ թէ արդէն ժամն է քունէն արթննալու, որովհետեւ հիմա մեր փրկութիւնը աւելի՛ մօտ է՝ քան երբ հաւատացինք:
12 The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let us therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Գիշերը շատ յառաջացած է, ու ցերեկը՝ մօտեցած. ուրեմն թօթափե՛նք խաւարին գործերը, ու հագնի՛նք լոյսին զրահը:
13 Let us walk decently, as in the daytime; not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and lustful acts, and not in dissension and jealousy.
Վայելչութեա՛մբ ընթանանք, ինչպէս ցերեկ ատեն, ո՛չ թէ զեխութեամբ ու արբեցութեամբ, ո՛չ թէ խառնակ անկողինով եւ ցոփութեամբ, ո՛չ թէ կռիւով ու նախանձով.
14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
հապա հագէ՛ք Տէր Յիսուս Քրիստոսը, եւ մի՛ մտադրէք մարմինին ցանկութիւնները գոհացնել:
