Revelation 17
1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here. I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,
Um dos sete anjos, que tinha [um ]dos sete vasos, veio ter comigo/veio até mim. Ele me disse: “Venha, [acompanhe-me ]e eu lhe mostrarei como [Deus ]castigará a grande [cidade representada por ][SYM] uma prostituta que se senta sobre muitas [correntes de ]água.
2 with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality, and those who dwell in the earth were made drunk with the wine of her sexual immorality."
Os governantes da terra se comportaram de forma imoral e [idólatra ]com ela, [MET] e eles persuadiram os habitantes da terra a se comportarem de forma imoral [e idólatra ]com eles [MET], [como uma prostituta seduz os homens a ficarem ]bêbados do vinho [forte que ela lhes dá, e como resultado ]eles cometem imoralidades”.
3 He carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet-colored animal, full of blasphemous names, having seven heads and ten horns.
Então, enquanto o Espírito [de Deus ]me [controlava de forma especial, ]o anjo me levou para um lugar deserto. Ali vi uma mulher montada em uma besta vermelha. A besta tinha [escrito], por toda parte do seu corpo, nomes/títulos. Eram nomes/títulos insultantes a [Deus]. Ela tinha sete cabeças e dez chifres.
4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the impurities of her sexual immorality.
A mulher [que vi ]vestia [roupas ]de púrpura e escarlate. Ouro, pedras preciosas, e pérolas estavam prendidos {[Ela tinha prendido ]pedras preciosas, pérolas e ouro} [às roupas e ao corpo dela. ]Segurava na mão um cálice de ouro. O cálice estava cheio de [um líquido que representa ][SYM] as detestáveis coisas idólatras e os atos sujos e imorais que ela [pratica].
5 And on her forehead a name was written, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
Um nome estava escrito na testa {[Ela ]tinha escrito na testa um nome} que possui um [significado ]misterioso/escondido: [“Represento ]a Babilônia, a [cidade ]muito má[. Ela atua como ]mãe das prostitutas da terra, ensinando-lhes a [se comportar ]de forma imoral e abominável / idólatra”.
6 I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered with great amazement.
Vi que a mulher tinha ficado bêbada como resultado de beber o sangue do povo de Deus, aqueles que falaram de Jesus às demais pessoas. Ao vê-la, fiquei bem desnorteado.
7 The angel said to me, "Why do you wonder? I will tell you the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carries her, which has the seven heads and the ten horns.
O anjo me disse: “Não fique/Por que você fica [RHQ] desnorteado! Eu lhe explicarei o mistério da mulher e da besta que ela monta, a besta que tem as sete cabeças e os dez chifres.
8 The beast that you saw was, and is not; and is about to come up out of the abyss and is going to destruction. Those who dwell on the earth and whose names have not been written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world will marvel when they see that the beast was, and is not, but is to come. (Abyssos g12)
A besta que você viu já [viveu ]anteriormente. Agora já não está [viva]. Está [para ]surgir do abismo. Irá para o lugar onde [Deus ]vai destruí-la. Os habitantes da terra cujos nomes não foram escritos {cujos nomes Deus/Cristo não inscreveu} desde o princípio do mundo no livro que [contém os nomes das pessoas que ]vivem [espiritualmente ]ficarão espantados ao verem que a besta viveu anteriormente, que posteriormente não estava mais [viva, ]mas que depois reapareceu. 9 Here is the mind that has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits.
Aqueles que [pensam ]sabiamente [podem entender ]isto. As sete cabeças [da besta ]em que a mulher está montada [representam ]as sete colinas [da cidade que a mulher representa]. Elas também [representam ]sete governantes.
10 They are seven kings. Five have fallen, the one is, the other has not yet come. When he comes, he must continue a little while.
Cinco [dos governantes ]já morreram. Um deles [ainda ]está [vivo. ]O outro [governante ]ainda não apareceu. Quando ele vier, [só ]deve ficar por [pouco ]tempo.
11 The beast that was, and is not, is himself also an eighth, and is of the seven; and he goes to destruction.
A besta que [viveu ]antes e depois não estava [viva ]é o oitavo [governante]. Ele será maligno [como ]os sete [governantes, mas ]Deus vai destruí-lo.
12 The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority as kings, with the beast, for one hour.
Os dez chifres que você viu [representam ]dez governantes que ainda não governaram [as pessoas]. Eles receberão autoridade para governar as [pessoas], em companhia da besta, [mas só por pouco tempo, como se fosse ][MET] uma hora.
13 These have one mind, and they give their power and authority to the beast.
Todos esses [governantes ]desejarão fazer a mesma coisa. [Consequentemente], cederão à besta seu direito [de governar as pessoas ]e sua autoridade [de reinar sobre as pessoas ][DOU].
14 These will war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings. They also will overcome who are with him, called and chosen and faithful."
Os governantes e a besta lutarão contra [aquele que é como ]um cordeiro. Ele vai derrotá-los, porque Ele é o Senhor [que reina sobre todos os demais ]senhores e o Rei [que reina sobre todos os outros ]reis. [As pessoas ]que estão do lado dele [e O ajudam ]são aqueles que [Deus ]escolheu e que permanecem fiéis [a Ele]”.
15 He said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and languages.
O anjo me disse: “As águas que você viu, onde está sentada a prostituta, representam [grupos ]étnicos, multidões [de pessoas], nações e [falantes de muitas línguas ][MTY].
16 The ten horns which you saw, and the beast, these will hate the prostitute, and will make her desolate and naked, and will eat her flesh, and will burn her utterly with fire.
Os dez chifres que você viu [representam governantes ][SYM]. Eles e a besta odiarão [a cidade ][MTY] [representada ]pela prostituta {que a prostituta representa}. Consequentemente, [eles tirarão tudo que nela está ]como se a [MET] deixassem nua. Eles vão [destruí-la como se ][MET] estivessem devorando carne, e também vão queimá-la com fogo.
17 For God has put in their hearts to do what he has in mind, and to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God should be accomplished.
Eles vão fazer isso porque Deus fez com que resolvessem fazer o que Ele deseja que façam. Consequentemente, vão deixar que a besta assuma o poder deles de governar até se cumprir o que Deus declarou {até eles cumprirem o que Deus determinou} [MTY].
18 The woman whom you saw is the great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth."
A prostituta que você viu [representa ]a cidade muito iníqua [cujos líderes ][MTY] reinam sobre os reis da terra”.
