Psalms 97
1 Jehovah reigns. Let the earth rejoice. Let the multitude of islands be glad.
El Señor es Rey, que la tierra tenga gozo; alégrense todas las costas e islas.
2 Clouds and darkness are around him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
Nubes oscuras lo rodean; su reino se basa en la justicia y el juicio correcto.
3 A fire goes before him, and burns up his adversaries on every side.
Fuego va delante de él, quemando a todos los que están contra él, a su alrededor alrededor.
4 His lightning lights up the world. The earth sees, and trembles.
Sus relámpagos iluminan el mundo; la tierra lo vio con miedo.
5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of Jehovah, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.
Los montes se volvieron como cera delante del Señor, ante él Señor de toda la tierra.
6 The heavens declare his righteousness. All the peoples have seen his glory.
Los cielos dieron la noticia de su justicia, y todo el pueblo vio su gloria.
7 Let all them be shamed who serve engraved images, who boast in their idols. Worship him, all you gods.
Avergonzados todos los que adoran las imágenes y se enorgullecen de los dioses falsos; Dale culto, todos ustedes dioses.
8 Zion heard and was glad. The daughters of Judah rejoiced, because of your judgments, Jehovah.
Sión escuchó y se alegró; y las hijas de Judá estaban llenas de alegría, por tus decisiones, oh Señor.
9 For you, Jehovah, are most high above all the earth. You are exalted far above all gods.
Porque tú, Señor altísimo, estás sobre toda la tierra; eres levantado sobre todos los demás dioses.
10 You who love Jehovah, hate evil. He preserves the souls of his faithful ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.
Ustedes amantes de Jehová, aborrezcan el mal; él guarda las almas de sus santos; él los quita de la mano de los pecadores.
11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.
La luz brilla sobre los amantes de la justicia, y para los rectos de corazón hay alegría.
12 Be glad in Jehovah, you righteous people. Give thanks to his holy Name.
Alégrense en el Señor, hombres rectos; alabando el recuerdo de su santo nombre.
