1 Sing to Jehovah a new song. Sing to Jehovah, all the earth.
Sjungen till HERRENS ära en ny sång, sjungen till HERRENS ära, alla länder.
2 Sing to Jehovah. Bless his name. Proclaim his salvation from day to day.
Sjungen till HERRENS ära, loven hans namn. Båden glädje var dag, förkunnen hans frälsning.
3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples.
Förtäljen bland hedningarna hans ära, bland alla folk hans under.
4 For great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised. He is to be feared above all gods.
Ty stor är HERREN och högt lovad, fruktansvärd är han mer än alla gudar.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Jehovah made the heavens.
Ty folkens alla gudar äro avgudar, men HERREN är den som har gjort himmelen.
6 Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Majestät och härlighet äro inför hans ansikte, makt och glans i hans helgedom.
7 Ascribe to Jehovah, you families of nations, ascribe to Jehovah glory and strength.
Given åt HERREN, I folkens släkter, given åt HERREN ära och makt;
8 Ascribe to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come into his courts.
given åt HERREN hans namns ära, bären fram skänker, och kommen i hans gårdar.
9 Worship Jehovah in holy array. Tremble before him, all the earth.
Tillbedjen HERREN i helig skrud, bäven för hans ansikte, alla länder.
10 Say among the nations, "Jehovah reigns." The world is also established. It can't be moved. He will judge the peoples with equity.
Sägen bland hedningarna: »HERREN är nu konung! Därför står jordkretsen fast och vacklar icke; han dömer folken med rättvisa.»
11 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and its fullness.
Himmelen vare glad, och jorden fröjde sig; havet bruse och allt vad däri är.
12 Let the field and all that is in it exult. Then all the trees of the woods shall sing for joy
Marken glädje sig och allt som är därpå, ja, då juble alla skogens träd.
13 before Jehovah; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.
inför HERREN, ty han kommer, ty han kommer för att döma jorden. Han skall döma jordens krets med rättfärdighet och folken med sin trofasthet.
