< Psalms 88 >

1 [A Song. A Psalm by the sons of Korah. For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "The Suffering of Affliction." A contemplation by Heman, the Ezrahite.] Jehovah, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you.
Wer. Zaburi mar yawuot Kora. Kuom jatend wer. Kaluwore gi mahalath leanoth. Maskil mar Heman ja-Ezra. Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, in e Nyasacha ma resa, aywagora e nyimi odiechiengʼ gotieno.
2 Let my prayer enter into your presence. Turn your ear to my cry.
Mad lamona chop e nyimi; yie ilok iti ne kwayona.
3 For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
Nimar chandruok opongʼo chunya kendo ngimana sudo machiegni gi liel. (Sheol h7585)
4 I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,
Ikwana kaachiel gi joma ridore piny ei bur matut; achalo ngʼama onge teko.
5 set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand.
Ojwangʼa kaachiel gi joma otho, mana kaka joma onegi monindo e bur, makoro ok ipar kuomgi kendo, joma ongʼad kargi oko e ritni.
6 You have laid me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.
Iseketa ei bur matut mogik, ei piny mogik, kama olil ti.
7 Your wrath lies heavily on me. You have afflicted me with all your waves. (Selah)
Mirimbi mager ogore kuoma mapek; isetamo wangʼa gi apaka magi duto. (Sela)
8 You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can't escape.
Isemiyo osiepena mane ni machiegni koda mogik oringa, kendo isemiyo koro achalonegi mana koko. Odinna ma ok anyal tony;
9 My eyes are dim from grief. I have called on you daily, Jehovah. I have spread out my hands to you.
wengena ok nen maber nikech kuyo ma an-go. Aluongi odiechiengʼ kodiechiengʼ, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; achikoni lwetena.
10 Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the dead rise up and praise you? (Selah)
Bende itimo honni magi ne joma otho? Joma otho bende nyalo chier kendo mi paki? (Sela)
11 Is your loving kindness declared in the grave? Or your faithfulness in Destruction?
Herani bende inyiso joma ni ei liel; adier, koso adierani bende yudore e kethruok piny?
12 Are your wonders made known in the dark? Or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
Timbeni miwuoro bende ongʼere kama otimo mudhono, kata timbeni makare e piny ma ilalieno?
13 But to you, Jehovah, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.
Anto aywakni mondo ikonya, yaye Jehova Nyasaye; lamona chopo e nyimi gokinyi.
14 Jehovah, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?
Yaye Jehova Nyasaye, angʼo momiyo idaga kendo ipandona wangʼi?
15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up. While I suffer your terrors, I am distracted.
Aseneno chandruok chakre tin-na mi adwa tho; asewinjo malit nikech thagruok misekelona, kendo chunya oseol.
16 Your fierce wrath has gone over me. Your terrors have cut me off.
Mirimbi mager oseywaya; thagruok mimiya osetieka.
17 They came around me like water all day long. They completely engulfed me.
Gilwora ka ataro odiechiengʼ duto; gisedinona chuth koni gi koni.
18 You have put lover and friend far from me, and my friends into darkness.
Isemaya osiepena gi joherana; mudho mandiwa ema koro odongʼ machiegni koda kaka osiepna.
