< Psalms 86 >

1 [A Prayer by David.] Hear, Jehovah, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.
David ƒe gbedodoɖa. Ɖo tom, O Yehowa, eye nàtɔ nam, elabena meda ahe, eye hiã tum.
2 Preserve my soul, for I am godly. You, my God, save your servant who trusts in you.
Kpɔ nye agbe ta, elabena metsɔ ɖokuinye na wò. Wòe nye nye Mawu, eya ta ɖe wò dɔla si ɖo dzi ɖe ŋuwò.
3 Be merciful to me, Jehovah, for I call to you all day long.
O! Aƒetɔ, kpɔ nye nublanui, elabena mele yɔwòm ŋkeke blibo la.
4 Bring joy to the soul of your servant, for to you, Jehovah, do I lift up my soul.
O! Aƒetɔ, tsɔ dzidzɔ vɛ na wò dɔla, elabena wòe medo nye luʋɔ ɖe dzi na.
5 For you, Jehovah, are good, and ready to forgive; abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.
O! Aƒetɔ, ènyo, eye nètsɔna kena, lɔlɔ̃ bɔ ɖe asiwò na ame siwo katã yɔa wò.
6 Hear, Jehovah, my prayer. Listen to the voice of my petitions.
O! Yehowa, se nye gbedodoɖa, eye nàlé to ɖe nye nublanuiɣli ŋu.
7 In the day of my trouble I will call on you, for you will answer me.
Le nye xaxagbe, mayɔ wò elabena àtɔ nam.
8 There is no one like you among the gods, Jehovah, nor any deeds like your deeds.
O! Aƒetɔ aɖeke megale mawuawo dome abe wò ene o; nuwɔna aɖeke mesɔ kple tɔwò o.
9 All nations you have made will come and worship before you, Jehovah. They shall glorify your name.
O! Aƒetɔ, dukɔ siwo katã nèwɔ la ava asubɔ le ŋkuwò me, eye woatsɔ ŋutikɔkɔe ana wò ŋkɔ.
10 For you are great, and do wondrous things. You are God alone.
Elabena èlolo, eye nèwɔ nu dzɔatsuwo; wò koe nye Mawu.
11 Teach me your way, Jehovah. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.
O! Yehowa, fia wò mɔm, eye mazɔ le wò nyateƒe la me; tsɔ dzi si to mɔ ɖeka la nam, ale be mavɔ̃ wò ŋkɔ.
12 I will praise you, Lord my God, with my whole heart. I will glorify your name forevermore.
Makafu wò, O Aƒetɔ, nye Mawu, kple nye dzi blibo. Mado wò ŋkɔ ɖe dzi tegbee,
13 For your loving kindness is great toward me. You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
elabena wò lɔlɔ̃ nam lolo ŋutɔ, eye nèɖem tso keke tsiẽƒe ʋĩi ke. (Sheol h7585)
14 God, the proud have risen up against me. A company of violent men have sought after my soul, and they do not hold regard for you before them.
O! Mawu, dadalawo tso ɖe ŋunye, ŋutasẽlawo ƒe ha ti nye agbe yome, eye wonye ŋutsu siwo mebu wò ɖe naneke me o.
15 But you, Jehovah, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.
O! Aƒetɔ, ke wò la, Mawu si kpɔa nublanui, eye wòvea ame nu lae nènye, mèdoa dɔmedzoe kabakaba o, lɔlɔ̃ bɔ ɖe asiwò, eye nèwɔa nuteƒe.
16 Turn to me, and have mercy on me. Give your strength to your servant. Save the son of your handmaid.
Trɔ ɖe ŋutinye, eye nàkpɔ nublanui nam; na wò ŋusẽ wò dɔla, eye nàɖe viwò ŋutsu nuteƒewɔla.
17 Show me a sign of your goodness, that those who hate me may see it, and be shamed, because you, Jehovah, have helped me, and comforted me.
Ɖe wò nyuiwɔwɔ ƒe dzesi fiam, be nye futɔwo nakpɔe, eye ŋu nakpe wo, elabena o Yehowa, wòe kpe ɖe ŋunye, eye nèfa akɔ nam.
