< Psalms 69 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Lilies." By David.] Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck.
David ƒe ha na hɛnɔ la. Woadzii ɖe “Dzogbenya” ƒe gbeɖiɖi nu. Mawu, ɖem, elabena tsi ɖɔ ɖe ŋunye va se ɖe nye kɔgbɔ ke.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.
Meɖo ba yi ɖe tome ke, afi si afɔɖoƒe mele o. Meɖo tɔ goglowo me; tsi ɖɔ to tanye.
3 I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail, looking for my God.
Medo ɣli be woaxɔ nam, ale nu ti kɔ nam, eye nye ve me hã ƒu kplakplakpla. Mekpɔ mɔ na Mawu ʋuu, eye ɖeɖi te nye ŋkuwo ŋu.
4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I did not take away.
Ame siwo lé fum ɖe nanekemawɔmawɔ ta la sɔ gbɔ wu nye taɖa. Amewo lé fum yakatsyɔ, eye woti yonyeme be woatsrɔ̃m. Ale meɖo nu si nyemefi o la eteƒe dzizizitɔe.
5 God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren't hidden from you.
O! Mawu, ènya nye bometsitsi, eye nye fɔɖiɖi mele ɣaɣla ɖe wò o.
6 Do not let those who wait for you be put to shame because of me, Jehovah of hosts. Do not let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.
7 Because for your sake I suffer insults. Shame has covered my face.
Tawòe wodo vlom ɖo, eye ŋukpe tsyɔ mo nam.
8 I have become a stranger to my brothers, a foreigner to my mother's children.
Menye amedzro na nye ŋutɔ nɔvinye ŋutsuwo kple ame manyamanya na danyevi ŋutsuwo.
9 For the zeal of your house consumes me. The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.
Elabena lɔlɔ̃ na wò aƒe zu dzo ge ɖe menye, eye ame siwo dzu wò la ƒe dzudzu va dzinye.
10 When I wept and I fasted, it brought me insults.
Esi mefa avi, tsi nu dɔ la, vlododo boŋ wozu nam;
11 When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.
esi meta akpanya la, mezu nu ɖikokoe na amewo.
12 Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.
Ame siwo nɔ anyi ɖe agbo nu la ɖe alɔme le ŋunye, eye ahamulawo kekeake hã kpa ha dem.
13 But as for me, my prayer is to you, Jehovah, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.
O! Yehowa, medo gbe ɖa na wò le wò amenuveɣi; O! Mawu, le wò lɔlɔ̃ gã la ta, tɔ nam kple wò xɔname si medana le edzi o.
14 Deliver me out of the mire, and do not let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.
Ɖem tso agbi me, mègana mayi to o, ɖem le ame siwo lé fum la ƒe asi me, tso tɔ goglowo me.
15 Do not let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Do not let the pit shut its mouth on me.
Mègana tsi naɖɔ to tanye, alo gogloƒe namim, eye ʋe globo natu eƒe nu ɖe dzinye o.
16 Answer me, Jehovah, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
O! Yehowa, tɔ nam, le wò lɔlɔ̃ deto la ta, eye trɔ ɖe ŋutinye le wò nublanuikpɔkpɔ gã la ta.
17 Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily.
Mègaɣla wò mo ɖe wò dɔla o; ke boŋ tɔ nam kaba, elabena meɖo xaxa me.
18 Draw near to my soul, and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.

19 You know how I am insulted, and my shame, and my disgrace. My adversaries are all before you.
Ènya ale si wodo vlom, ɖi gbɔ̃m, eye wodo ŋu kpem; nye futɔwo katã le ŋkuwò me.
20 Insults have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.
Vlododo na nye dzi gbã, eye mezu xɔnamemanɔsitɔ; mekpɔ mɔ na babadoname, gake ɖeke meli o. Mekpɔ mɔ na akɔfalawo, gake nyemekpɔ ɖeke o.

Wotsɔ veve de nye nuɖuɖu me, eye esi tsikɔ wum la, wotsɔ aha tsitsi nam be mano.
22 Let their table before them become a snare, and a retribution, and a trap, and a stumbling block.
Woƒe kplɔ̃ si woɖo na wo la nezu mɔ na wo; nezu teƒeɖoɖo kple mɔ na wo.
23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see, and make their backs weak continually.
Woƒe ŋkuwo dzi nedo viviti be, womagate ŋu akpɔ nu o, eye na woƒe dzi me naɖo kpo tegbee.
24 Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.
Trɔ wò dziku kɔ ɖe wo dzi, eye nàna wò dɔmedzoe helĩhelĩ nalé wo.
25 Let their habitation be desolate, and let no one dwell in their tents.
Woƒe nɔƒe neɖi gbɔlo; mègana be ame aɖeke neganɔ woƒe agbadɔwo me o.
26 For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.
Elabena woti ame siwo ŋu nède abii la yome, eye wole nu ƒom le ame siwo nèwɔ nuvevii la ƒe vevesese ŋu.
27 Charge them with crime upon crime. Do not let them come into your righteousness.
Bu fɔ wo, eye nàgabu fɔ wo ɖe edzi; mègana woakpɔ gome le wò xɔname me o.
28 Let them be blotted out of the Book of Life, and not be written with the righteous.

29 But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.
Mele vevesese kple nuxaxa me; O! Mawu, na wò xɔname natɔ kpɔ ƒo xlãm.
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
Matsɔ hadzidzi akafu Mawu ƒe ŋkɔ, eye madoe ɖe dzi kple akpedada.
31 It will please Jehovah better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
Esia adze Yehowa ŋu wu nyi, eye wòado dzidzɔ nɛ wu nyitsu kple eƒe dzowo kpakple eƒe afɔkliwo.
32 The humble will see it and rejoice. You who seek after God, let your heart live.
Hiãtɔwo akpɔe ahatso aseye, eye mi ame siwo dia Mawu la, míaƒe dziwo nenɔ agbe ɖaa!
33 For Jehovah hears the needy, and doesn't despise his captive people.
Yehowa ɖoa to hiãtɔwo, eye medoa vlo eƒe ame siwo le aboyome o.
34 Let heaven and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moves in them.
Dziƒo kple anyigba nekafui, atsiaƒuwo kple nu siwo katã ʋãna le wo me,
35 For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it.

36 The children also of his servants shall inherit it. Those who love his name shall dwell in it.
