< Psalms 64 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] Hear my voice, God, in my complaint. Preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Ngai, igua mũgambo wakwa ngĩkwĩra mateta makwa; gitĩra muoyo wakwa harĩ kwĩhĩtĩrwo nĩ thũ.
2 Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from the noisy crowd of the ones doing evil;
Kĩĩhithe kuuma kũrĩ ndundu ya andũ arĩa aaganu, ũũhithe kuuma kũrĩ inegene rĩa mũingĩ ũrĩa wĩkaga ũũru.
3 who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,
Manooraga nĩmĩ ciao ta hiũ cia njora, na makaaria ciugo njũru itariĩ ta mĩguĩ ĩrĩ ũrũrũ.
4 to shoot innocent men from ambushes. They shoot at him suddenly and fearlessly.
Mehithagĩra mũndũ ũtehĩtie makamũratha na mĩguĩ; mamũrathaga o rĩmwe mategwĩtigĩra.
5 They encourage themselves in evil plans. They talk about laying snares secretly. They say, "Who will see them?"
Momanagĩrĩria magĩthugunda mĩbango mĩũru, meranaga ũrĩa mekũhitha mĩtego yao; mooragia atĩrĩ, “Nũũ ũngĩmĩona?”
6 They plot injustice; they hide a well-conceived plan. Surely man's mind and heart are cunning.
7 But God will shoot at them. They will be suddenly struck down with an arrow.
No rĩrĩ, Ngai nĩekũmaratha na mĩguĩ yake, amathece o rĩmwe.
8 Their own tongues shall ruin them. All who see them will shake their heads.
Akaamarehithĩria mwanangĩko nĩ ũndũ wa ciugo njũru iria maaragia na tũnua twao; andũ arĩa othe makamoona makaamanyũrũria, mamainainĩrie mĩtwe.
9 All humankind shall be afraid. They shall declare the work of God, and shall wisely ponder what he has done.
Andũ othe nĩmagetigĩra; nĩmakaheana ũhoro wa wĩra wa Ngai, na meciirie ũhoro wa maũndũ marĩa ekĩte.
10 The righteous shall be glad in Jehovah, and shall take refuge in him. All the upright in heart shall praise him.
Andũ arĩa athingu nĩmagĩkenere Jehova na moragĩre harĩ we; andũ arĩa othe arũngĩrĩru ngoro nĩmamũgooce!
