< Psalms 61 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David.] Hear my cry, God. Listen to my prayer.
Ya Mukulu wa Bayimbi. Ebivuga eby’enkoba. Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Wulira okukaaba kwange, Ayi Katonda; wulira okusaba kwange.
2 From the most remote place of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Nkukoowoola okuva ku nkomerero y’ensi, omutima gwange nga gugenda gunafuwa. Onkulembere ontuuse ku lwazi olunsinga obuwanvu mwe nnyinza okwekweka.
3 For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy.
Kubanga gw’oli kiddukiro kyange. Oli kigo eky’amaanyi mwe neekweka omulabe.
4 I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. (Selah)
Nnaabeeranga mu weema yo ennaku zonna; ndyoke nkuumirwenga mu biwaawaatiro byo.
5 For you, God, have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
Kubanga ggwe, Ayi Katonda, owulidde obweyamo bwange: ompadde omugabo awamu n’abo abatya erinnya lyo.
6 You will prolong the king's life; his years shall be for generations.
Oyongere ku nnaku z’obulamu bwa kabaka; emyaka gye gimutuuse mu mirembe mingi,
7 He shall be enthroned in God's presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him.
alyoke abeerenga mu maaso ga Katonda ennaku zonna. Okwagala kwo n’obwesigwa bwo bimukuumenga.
8 So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows day after day.
Ndyoke nnyimbenga nga ntendereza erinnya lyo ennaku zonna, nga ntuukiriza obweyamo bwange buli lunaku.
