< Psalms 6 >

1 [For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David.] Jehovah, do not rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
Kumutungamiri wokuimba nemitengeranwa. Nesheminiti. Pisarema raDhavhidhi. Haiwa Jehovha, regai kundirayira mukutsamwa kwenyu, kana kundiranga muhasha dzenyu.
2 Be gracious to me, Jehovah, for I am frail. Jehovah, heal me, for my bones are trembling.
Ndinzwirei ngoni, Jehovha, nokuti ndava kuziya; haiwa Jehovha, ndiporesei, nokuti mapfupa angu ava kurwadza.
3 And my soul is greatly troubled. But you, Jehovah, how long?
Mweya wangu uri kurwadziwa. Haiwa Jehovha, kusvikira riniko, kusvikira riniko?
4 Return, Jehovah. Deliver my soul. Save me because of your lovingkindness.
Dzokai, imi Jehovha, mugondirwira; ndiponesei nokuda kworudo rwenyu rusingaperi.
5 For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol h7585)
Hakuna anokurangarirai kana afa. Ndiani anokurumbidzai kubva muguva? (Sheol h7585)
6 I am weary with my groaning. Every night I drench my bed; I melt my couch with my tears.
Ndaneta nokugomera; ndinonyorovesa mubhedha wangu nemisodzi ndichichema usiku hwose, ndinonyorovesa uvato hwangu nemisodzi.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
Meso angu aneta nokuchema; haachaoni nokuda kwavavengi vangu vose.
8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for Jehovah has heard the sound of my weeping.
Ibvai pandiri, imi mose munoita zvakaipa, nokuti Jehovha anzwa kuchema kwangu.
9 Jehovah has heard my plea. Jehovah has accepted my prayer.
Jehovha anzwa kukumbira kwangu nyasha; Jehovha anogamuchira munyengetero wangu.
10 May all my enemies be ashamed and greatly terrified. May they turn back, suddenly ashamed.
Vavengi vangu vose vachanyadziswa uye vachavhundutswa; vachadzokera shure pakarepo mukunyadziswa.
