< Psalms 6 >

1 [For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments, upon the eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm by David.] Jehovah, do not rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova, ndũkandũithie ũrĩ na marakara, o na kana ũũherithie ũrĩ na mangʼũrĩ.
2 Be gracious to me, Jehovah, for I am frail. Jehovah, heal me, for my bones are trembling.
Jehova, njiguĩra tha, nĩgũkorwo nĩthirĩtwo nĩ hinya; Wee Jehova honia, nĩgũkorwo mahĩndĩ makwa marĩ na ruo rũnene.
3 And my soul is greatly troubled. But you, Jehovah, how long?
O nayo ngoro yakwa ĩrĩ na ruo rũnene. Nĩ nginya rĩ, Wee Jehova, nĩ nginya rĩ?
4 Return, Jehovah. Deliver my soul. Save me because of your lovingkindness.
Wee Jehova, cooka, ũka ũũthare; honokia tondũ wa wendo waku ũrĩa ũtathiraga.
5 For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks? (Sheol h7585)
Gũtirĩ mũndũ ũngĩkũririkana arĩ mũkuũ. Nũũ ũkũgoocaga arĩ thĩinĩ wa mbĩrĩra? (Sheol h7585)
6 I am weary with my groaning. Every night I drench my bed; I melt my couch with my tears.
Niĩ ndĩ mũnogu mũno nĩ ũndũ wa gũcaaya; ũtukũ wothe njihũgagia ũrĩrĩ wakwa na kĩrĩro, na ngaconjoria gĩtĩ gĩakwa na maithori.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
Maitho makwa matirona wega nĩ ũndũ wa ihooru; nĩmaroora nĩ ũndũ wa thũ ciakwa ciothe.
8 Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for Jehovah has heard the sound of my weeping.
Njehererai inyuĩ arĩa othe mwĩkaga ũũru, nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩaiguĩte kĩrĩro gĩakwa.
9 Jehovah has heard my plea. Jehovah has accepted my prayer.
Jehova nĩaiguĩte ngĩmũthaitha anjiguĩre tha; Jehova nĩetĩkĩrĩte ihooya rĩakwa.
10 May all my enemies be ashamed and greatly terrified. May they turn back, suddenly ashamed.
Thũ ciakwa ciothe nĩigaconoka na imake; igaacooka na thuutha o rĩmwe iconokete.
