Psalms 44
1 [For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. A contemplative psalm.] We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the days of old.
ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕನಿಗಾಗಿರುವ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಕೋರಹೀಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮಾಸ್ಕಿಲ ಪದ್ಯ. ದೇವರೇ, ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಿವಿಯಾರೆ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ನೀವು ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಅವರು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
2 You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಲೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದಿರಿ; ನೀವು ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನುಂಟು ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ.
3 For they did not get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, and your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.
ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವರ ತೋಳು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜಯ ತರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲಗೈಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತೋಳೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಖದ ಪ್ರಕಾಶವೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜಯವನ್ನು ತಂದಿತು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ನೀವು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದಿರಿ.
4 You are my King, my God, who commands victories for Jacob.
ನೀವೇ ನನ್ನ ಅರಸರೂ ದೇವರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಯಾಕೋಬಿಗೆ ಜಯವನ್ನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುವ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
5 Through you we will push back our adversaries. Through your name we will trample down those who rise up against us.
ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ದಬ್ಬುವೆವು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುವೆವು.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸೆ ಇಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ನನ್ನ ಖಡ್ಗವು ನನಗೆ ಜಯ ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
7 But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.
ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಮಗೆ ಜಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ದ್ವೇಷಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡಿಸಿದಿರಿ.
8 In God we have made our boast all day long, we will give thanks to your name forever. (Selah)
ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾವು ಹಿಗ್ಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಯುಗಯುಗಕ್ಕೂ ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವೆವು.
9 But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and do not go out with our armies.
ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ನೀವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಹೋಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಸಂಗಡ ನೀವು ಹೊರಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
10 You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take spoil for themselves.
ವೈರಿಯ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾವು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ವೈರಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.
11 You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
ಕಡಿಯತಕ್ಕ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಚದರಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
12 You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜನರನ್ನು ನೀವು ಕ್ರಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಾರಿಬಿಟ್ಟಂತಿದೆ. ಆ ಮಾರಾಟದಿಂದ ಲಾಭ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಿದೆ.
13 You make us the taunt of our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರೆಯವರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ನಿಂದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ ಗೇಲಿಯಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಾಸ್ಯವೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
14 You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಇತರ ದೇಶಗಳವರ ಗಾದೆಗೆ ಆಸ್ಪದ ಮಾಡಿರುವಿರಿ; ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯದ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
15 All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,
ನಿಂದಕನ ಮತ್ತು ದೂಷಕನ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೂ ಮುಯ್ಯಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿ ತೀರಿಸುವ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ,
16 At the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger.
ಸದಾ ನನ್ನ ಅವಮಾನವು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ; ನನ್ನ ಮುಖವು ನಾಚಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದೆ.
17 All this has come on us, yet have we not forgotten you, Neither have we been false to your covenant.
ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಂತು; ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
18 Our heart has not turned back, neither have our steps strayed from your path,
ನಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಲಿಲ್ಲ; ನಮ್ಮ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
19 Though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.
ಆದರೂ ನರಿಗಳ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಳದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಿನ ನೆರಳು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟಂತಿದೆ.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread forth our hands to a strange god;
ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಅನ್ಯ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಚಾಚಿದ್ದರೆ,
21 won't God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
ದೇವರೇ ಹೃದಯದ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
22 For your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.
ಹೌದು, ನಿಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾವು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ವಧಿಸಲಿಕ್ಕಾಗಿರುವ ಕುರಿಗಳಂತೆ ಜನರು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಣಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
23 Wake up. Why do you sleep, Jehovah? Arise. Do not reject us forever.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರೇ, ಏಳಿರಿ, ಹೌದು ಎದ್ದೇಳಿರಿ ಸದಾಕಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.
24 Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
ಏಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ? ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಕಟ ಬಾಧೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡುವಿರಾ?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body cleaves to the earth.
ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಮಣ್ಣು ಪಾಲಾದಂತಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಶರೀರವು ನೆಲ ಪಾಲಾದಂತಿದೆ.
26 Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness' sake.
ನಮಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಏಳಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿರಿ.
