Psalms 36

1 [For the Chief Musician. By David, the servant of Jehovah.] Transgression speaks to the wicked within his heart. There is no fear of God before his eyes.

למנצח לעבד-יהוה לדוד ב נאם-פשע לרשע בקרב לבי אין-פחד אלהים לנגד עיניו

2 For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to detect and hate his sin.

כי-החליק אליו בעיניו למצא עונו לשנא

3 The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

דברי-פיו און ומרמה חדל להשכיל להיטיב

4 He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn't abhor evil.

און יחשב--על-משכבו יתיצב על-דרך לא-טוב רע לא ימאס

5 Your loving kindness, Jehovah, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

יהוה בהשמים חסדך אמונתך עד-שחקים

6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Jehovah, you preserve man and animal.

צדקתך כהררי-אל--משפטיך תהום רבה אדם ובהמה תושיע יהוה

7 How precious is your loving kindness, God. The descendants of Adam take refuge under the shadow of your wings.

מה-יקר חסדך אלהים ובני אדם--בצל כנפיך יחסיון

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.

ירוין מדשן ביתך ונחל עדניך תשקם

9 For with you is the spring of life. In your light shall we see light.

כי-עמך מקור חיים באורך נראה-אור

10 Oh continue your loving kindness to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.

משך חסדך לידעיך וצדקתך לישרי-לב

11 Do not let the foot of pride come against me. Do not let the hand of the wicked drive me away.

אל-תבואני רגל גאוה ויד-רשעים אל-תנדני

12 There evildoers are fallen. They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.
