< Psalms 34 >

1 [By David; when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.] I will bless Jehovah at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth.
Dawid dwom a ɔtoo bere a ɔboapa dan ɔbɔdamfo wɔ Abimelek anim no na ɔpanyin no gyaa no ma ɔkɔe no akyi. Mede aseda bɛma Awurade bere nyinaa; nʼayeyi wɔ mʼanom daa.
2 My soul shall boast in Jehovah. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad.
Me kra bɛhoahoa ne ho wɔ Awurade mu; ma amanehunufo nte na wonni ahurusi.
3 Oh magnify Jehovah with me. Let us exalt his name together.
Mo ne me nkamfo Awurade; momma yɛmmɔ mu nkamfo ne din!
4 I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Mefrɛɛ Awurade na ogyee me so; na ogyee me wɔ nea misuro nyinaa mu.
5 They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces are not ashamed.
Wɔn a wɔhwɛ nʼanim no hyerɛn na wɔn anim rengu ase da.
6 This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Ohiani yi frɛe, na Awurade tiee no; na ogyee no fii nʼahohia nyinaa mu.
7 The angel of Jehovah encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
Awurade bɔfo wɛn wɔn a wosuro no, na ogye wɔn.
8 Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Monka nhwɛ na munhu sɛ Awurade ye. Nhyira ne onipa a oguan toa no.
9 Oh fear Jehovah, you his holy ones, for there is no lack with those who fear him.
Munsuro Awurade, mo a moyɛ nʼahotefo, na wɔn a wosuro no no nhia hwee.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah shall not lack any good thing.
Gyata yɛ mmerɛw na ɔkɔm de wɔn, nanso wɔn a wɔhwehwɛ Awurade no, ade pa biara remmɔ wɔn.
11 Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
Mommra, me mma, monyɛ aso mma me; mɛkyerɛkyerɛ mo Awurade ho suro.
12 Who is someone who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
Mo mu hena na ɔpɛ nkwa na ɔpɛ sɛ ohu nna pa bebree?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies.
Ɛne ɛnsɛ sɛ ɔka kasa bɔne, na ɛsɛ sɛ ogyae atorotwa.
14 Turn away from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.
Twe wo ho fi bɔne ho, na yɛ papa; hwehwɛ asomdwoe na tiw no.
15 The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.
Awurade ani wɔ atreneefo so na otie wɔn mpaebɔ;
16 Jehovah's face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Awurade ani sa wɔn a wɔyɛ bɔne, sɛ obeyi wɔn nkae afi asase yi so.
17 The righteous cry out, and Jehovah hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Atreneefo teɛ mu su, na Awurade tie wɔn; oyi wɔn fi wɔn haw nyinaa mu.
18 Jehovah is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Awurade bɛn wɔn a wɔn koma abotow na ogye wɔn a wɔadwerɛw wɔn wɔ honhom mu no nkwa.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all.
Onipa trenee behu amane bebree nanso Awurade gye no fi ne nyinaa mu;
20 He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.
ɔbɔ ne nnompe nyinaa ho ban, sɛnea mu baako mpo mu remmu.
21 Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
Bɔne bekum ɔdebɔneyɛni; ɔtreneeni atamfo benya afɔbu.
22 Jehovah redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.
Awurade gye nʼasomfo nkwa; wɔn a woguan toa no no mu biara renkɔ afɔbu mu.
