< Psalms 34 >

1 [By David; when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.] I will bless Jehovah at all times. His praise will always be in my mouth.
Ya Dawudi. Bwe yeefuula okuba omugu w’eddalu mu maaso ga Abimereki, oluvannyuma eyamugoba, era naye n’amuviira. Nnaagulumizanga Mukama buli kiseera, akamwa kange kanaamutenderezanga bulijjo.
2 My soul shall boast in Jehovah. The humble shall hear of it, and be glad.
Omwoyo gwange guneenyumiririzanga mu Mukama; ababonyaabonyezebwa bawulire bajaguzenga.
3 Oh magnify Jehovah with me. Let us exalt his name together.
Kale tutendereze Mukama, ffenna tugulumizenga erinnya lye.
4 I sought Jehovah, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Nanoonya Mukama, n’annyanukula; n’ammalamu okutya kwonna.
5 They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces are not ashamed.
Abamwesiga banajjulanga essanyu, era tebaaswalenga.
6 This poor man cried, and Jehovah heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Omunaku ono yakoowoola Mukama n’amwanukula, n’amumalako ebyali bimuteganya byonna.
7 The angel of Jehovah encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

8 Oh taste and see that Jehovah is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
Mulegeeko mulabe nga Mukama bw’ali omulungi! Balina omukisa abaddukira gy’ali.
9 Oh fear Jehovah, you his holy ones, for there is no lack with those who fear him.
Musseemu Mukama ekitiibwa mmwe abatukuvu be, kubanga abamutya tebaajulenga.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Jehovah shall not lack any good thing.
Empologoma zirumwa enjala ne ziggwaamu amaanyi; naye abo abanoonya Mukama, ebirungi tebiibaggwengako.
11 Come, you children, listen to me. I will teach you the fear of Jehovah.
Mujje wano baana bange, mumpulirize; mbayigirize okutya Mukama.
12 Who is someone who desires life, and loves many days, that he may see good?
Oyagala okuwangaala mu bulamu obulungi, okuba mu ssanyu emyaka emingi?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking lies.
Olulimi lwo lukuumenga luleme okwogera ebitasaana, n’akamwa ko kaleme okwogera eby’obulimba.
14 Turn away from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.
Lekeraawo okukola ebibi, okolenga ebirungi; noonya emirembe era ogigobererenga.
15 The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.
Amaaso ga Mukama gatunuulira abo abatuukirivu, n’amatu ge gawulira okukaaba kwabwe.
16 Jehovah's face is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.
Mukama amaliridde okumalawo abakola ebibi, okubasaanyizaawo ddala n’obutaddayo kujjukirwa ku nsi.
17 The righteous cry out, and Jehovah hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
Abatuukirivu bakoowoola Mukama n’abawulira n’abawonya mu byonna ebiba bibateganya.
18 Jehovah is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Mukama abeera kumpi n’abalina emitima egimenyese, era alokola abo abalina emyoyo egyennyise.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Jehovah delivers him out of them all.
Omuntu omutuukirivu ayinza n’okuba n’ebizibu bingi, naye byonna Mukama abimuyisaamu.
20 He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken.
Amagumba ge gonna Mukama agakuuma, ne watabaawo na limu limenyeka.
21 Evil shall kill the wicked. Those who hate the righteous shall be condemned.
Ekibi kiritta abakola ebibi, n’abalabe b’abatuukirivu balibonerezebwa.
22 Jehovah redeems the soul of his servants. None of those who take refuge in him shall be condemned.
Mukama anunula abaweereza be; so tewali n’omu ku abo abaddukira gy’ali alibonerezebwa.
