Psalms 29

1 [A Psalm by David.] Ascribe to Jehovah, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to Jehovah glory and strength.

௧தாவீதின் பாடல். தேவ பிள்ளைகளே, யெகோவாவுக்கு மகிமையையும் வல்லமையையும் செலுத்துங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்கே அதைச் செலுத்துங்கள்.

2 Ascribe to Jehovah the glory due to his name. Worship Jehovah in holy array.

௨யெகோவாவுடைய பெயருக்கேற்ற மகிமையை அவருக்குச் செலுத்துங்கள்; பரிசுத்த அலங்காரத்துடனே யெகோவாவை தொழுதுகொள்ளுங்கள்.

3 The voice of Jehovah is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even Jehovah on many waters.

௩யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் சமுத்திரங்கள் மேல் தொனிக்கிறது; மகிமையுள்ள தேவன் முழங்குகிறார்; யெகோவா திரளான தண்ணீர்களின்மேல் இருக்கிறார்.

4 The voice of Jehovah is powerful. The voice of Jehovah is full of majesty.

௪யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் வல்லமையுள்ளது; யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் மகத்துவமுள்ளது.

5 The voice of Jehovah breaks the cedars. Yes, Jehovah breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

௫யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் கேதுருமரங்களை முறிக்கிறது; யெகோவா லீபனோனின் கேதுருமரங்களை முறிக்கிறார்.

6 He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox.

௬அவைகளைக் கன்றுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும், லீபனோனையும், சீரியோனையும் காண்டாமிருகக் குட்டிகளைப்போலவும் துள்ளச்செய்கிறார்.

7 The voice of Jehovah strikes with flashes of lightning.

௭யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் தீப்பிழம்புகளைப் பிளக்கும்.

8 The voice of Jehovah shakes the wilderness. Jehovah shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.

௮யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் வனாந்தரத்தை அதிரச்செய்யும்; யெகோவா காதேஸ் வனாந்தரத்தை அதிரச்செய்கிறார்.

9 The voice of Jehovah makes the large trees tremble, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, "Glory."

௯யெகோவாவுடைய சத்தம் பெண்மான்களை ஈனும்படி செய்து, காடுகளை வெளியாக்கும்; அவருடைய ஆலயத்திலுள்ள அனைவரும் யெகோவாவுக்கு மகிமை என்று ஆர்ப்பரிக்கிறார்கள்.

10 Jehovah sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, Jehovah sits as King forever.

௧0யெகோவா பெருவெள்ளத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருந்தார்; யெகோவா என்றென்றைக்கும் ராஜாவாக அமர்ந்திருக்கிறார்.

11 Jehovah will give strength to his people. Jehovah will bless his people with peace.

௧௧யெகோவா தமது மக்களுக்குப் பெலன் கொடுப்பார்; யெகோவா தமது மக்களுக்குச் சமாதானம் அருளி, அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.
