< Psalms 28 >
1 [By David.] To you, Jehovah, I call. My rock, do not be deaf to me; lest, if you are silent to me, I would become like those who go down into the pit.
Ti Dafidi. Ìwọ Olúwa, mo ké pe àpáta mi. Má ṣe kọ etí dídi sí mi. Tí ìwọ bá dákẹ́ sí mi, èmí yóò dàbí àwọn tí ó lọ sí ọ̀gbun.
2 Hear the voice of my petitions, when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your Most Holy Place.
Gbọ́ ohùn ẹ̀bẹ̀ mi fún àánú, bí mo ṣe ń ké pè ọ́ fún ìrànlọ́wọ́, bí mo ṣe gbé àwọn ọwọ́ mi sókè sí Ibi Mímọ́ rẹ Jùlọ.
3 Do not draw me away with the wicked, with evildoers who speak peace with their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts.
Má ṣe fà mí lọ pẹ̀lú ènìyàn búburú àti, pẹ̀lú àwọn oníṣẹ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀, tí ń sọ̀rọ̀ àlàáfíà sí aládùúgbò wọn ṣùgbọ́n tí ìwà ìkà ń bẹ nínú wọn.
4 Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings. Give them according to the operation of their hands. Bring back on them what they deserve.
San ẹ̀san wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí iṣẹ́ wọn àti fún iṣẹ́ ibi wọn; gba ẹ̀san wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ wọn; kí o sì san ẹ̀san wọn bí ó ti tọ́.
5 Because they do not regard the works of Jehovah, nor the operation of his hands, he will break them down and not build them up.
Nítorí pé wọn kò ka iṣẹ́ Olúwa sí, tàbí àwọn iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ̀ òun ó rún wọn wọlẹ̀ kì yóò sì gbé wọn ró mọ́.
6 Blessed be Jehovah, because he has heard the voice of my petitions.
Alábùkún fún ni Olúwa! Nítorí pé ó ti gbọ́ ohùn ẹ̀bẹ̀ mi.
7 Jehovah is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song I will thank him.
Olúwa ni agbára mi àti asà mi; nínú rẹ̀ ni mo gbẹ́kẹ̀lé; àní, ó sì ràn mí lọ́wọ́. Ọkàn mi sì gbé sókè fún ayọ̀ àní pẹ̀lú orin mi mo fi ọpẹ́ fún un.
8 Jehovah is the strength of his people. He is a stronghold of salvation to his anointed.
Olúwa ni agbára àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ òun ni odi ìgbàlà àwọn ẹni àmì òróró rẹ̀.
9 Save your people, and bless your inheritance. Be their shepherd also, and bear them up forever.
Ìwọ gba àwọn ènìyàn rẹ là, kí o sì bùkún àwọn ajogún rẹ; di olùṣọ́-àgùntàn wọn, kí o sì gbé wọn lékè títí ayérayé.
