< Psalms 18 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. By David the servant of Jehovah, who spoke to Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said, ] I love you, Jehovah, my strength.
Kokoako irehe ry Iehovà, haozarako.
2 Jehovah is my Rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my Rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
Ry lamilamiko, kijoly fipalirako, naho mpañaha ahiko; r’Iehovà, ry tseram-bato fitsolohako, fikalan-defoko vaho tsifam-pandrombahañe ahiko, fitilik’ aboko t’i Andrianañahareko.
3 I call on Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
Kanjieko t’Iehovà, fa mañeva ho rengèñe; vaho votsotse amo rafelahikoo.
4 The waves of death surrounded me, and the currents of ungodliness overwhelmed me.
Vinandibandi’ o vahen-kavilasio, le ho nandimpotse ahy ty fisorotombaha’ i Beliale;
5 The cords of Sheol were around me. The snares of death came on me. (Sheol h7585)
Namolonkoñe ahy o vaham-pihomahañeo, niatreatre ahy o fandrin-kavilasio. (Sheol h7585)
6 In my distress I called upon Jehovah, and cried out to my God. He heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry before him came into his ears.
Nikoike Iehovà t’ie nalovilovy, nikaik’ imba aman’ Añahareko; jinanji’e an-kivoho’e ao ty feoko; vaho niheo añatrefa’e an-dravembia’e, ty toreoko.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.
Niezeñezeñe vaho nihitikitike amy zao ty tane; niozoñozoñe naho nanginikinike ty faha’ o vohitseo amy fifombo’ey.
8 Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.
Niforoake hatoeñe o fiantsona’eo naho boak’ am-palie’e ao ty afo nahaforototo, nahasolebatse ty foroha.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.
Nazè’e ka i likerañey vaho nizotso; ieñe mangonkòñe ty tambane’ o fandia’eo.
10 He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.
Niningira’e ty kerobe le nitiliñe; eka nibirirìñe añ’ela’ i tiokey.
11 He made darkness his hiding place, his canopy around him thick clouds dark with water.
Nanoe’e fietahañe ty hamoromoroñañe; ho kibohotse hañohok’ aze, ty hangonkòn-drano, ty rahoñe migoboñe an-dikerañe ey.
12 From the brightness before him his thick clouds passed on, with hailstones and coals of fire.
Niboroboñak’ amo rahoñe milodolodoo ty havandra naho foroha mirekake amy fireandreañe añatrefa’ey,
13 Jehovah also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice.
Nañàmpiñe an-dikerañe ao t’Iehovà, nampipoña-piarañanañañe t’i Andindimoneñe; havandra gadaboñe naho foroha mirebareba.
14 And he sent out arrows and scattered them, and he shot lightning bolts and routed them.
Nahì’e mb’eo o ana-pàle’eo, le nampivarakaihe’e; nampiriaria’e ty helatse vaho nampivalitsikotahe’e.
15 And the depths of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, Jehovah, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.
Niboak’ amy zao o kadahan-dranoo, nikorendake o faha’ ty tane toio, ami’ty fitrevo’o ry Iehovà, ami’ty fitorotosi’ ty kofòm-piantsona’o.
16 He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.
Nirahe’e boak’añ’abo eñe, le rinambe’e iraho; sininto’e boak’ an-drano maro.
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.
Rinomba’e amy rafelahiko maozatsey, amo malaiñe ahikoo, amy t’ie nifatratse te amako.
18 They came on me in the day of my calamity, but Jehovah was my support.
Natretré’ iereo amy andro naha-ampohek’ ahikoy, fe nañolots’ ahiko t’Iehovà.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.
Nampionjone’e mb’an-toetse mangadagadan-draho, hinaha’e amy te no’e.
20 Jehovah has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me.
Nanambe ahiko ami’ty havantañako t’Iehovà; ami’ty halio tañako ro nañavaha’e ahiko.
21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
Amy te ambenako o lala’ Iehovào; vaho tsy mivik’ aman’Añahareko am-bodongeron-draho.
22 For all his ordinances were before me. I did not put away his statutes from me.
Hene tañatrefako o taro’eo, le tsy nampisitaheko amako o fañè’eo.
23 I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity.
Tokan-tro ama’e iraho, vaho milie-batañe tsy hanao sida;
24 Therefore Jehovah has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
Aa le tinambe’ Iehovà amy havañonakoy, ami’ty falio-tañako am-pivazohoa’e.
25 With the faithful you show yourself faithful. With the innocent you show yourself innocent.
Ami’ty mitretre ro iboaha’o ho mpiferenaiñe, ami’ty vañoñe ro iboaha’o ho vantañe,
26 With the pure you show yourself pure. And with the crooked you show yourself tortuous.
ami’ty mikanitsoke ro iboaha’o ho ki’e. vaho ami’ty mengoke ro iboaha’o ho minironiroke.
27 For you will save a humble people, but the eyes of the proud you will bring low.
Toe rombahe’o ty tretram-po, fe arè’o o maso mitahèbokeo.
28 For you light my lamp. Jehovah my God lights up my darkness.
Ihe ro mamiañe ty jiroko, mampazava o iekoo ry Iehovà Andrianañahareko.
29 For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.
Ihe ro hañoridañako ty firimboñan-dahin-defoñe; mahavokon-jolok’ ahy t’i Andrianañahareko.
30 As for God, his way is perfect. The word of Jehovah is pure. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him.
Aa naho i Andrianañahare! hiringiri’e ty lala’e, niventeañe o fepè’ Iehovào; Ie ty Mpañaro’ ze hene miato ama’e
31 For who is God, except Jehovah? Who is a rock, besides our God,
Ia t’i Andrianañahare naho tsy Iehovà? Ia ty lamilamy naho tsy i Andrianañaharen-tikañey?
32 the God who girds me with strength, and makes my way blameless?
T’i Andrianañahare mpanìkiñe ahy an-kaozarañe, vaho mpamantañe ty liako.
33 He makes my feet like deer's feet, and sets me on my high places.
Ampanahafe’e amo tombom-panalokeo o tombokoo, avotra’e amo haboakoo.
34 He teaches my hands to war, so that my arms bend a bow of bronze.
Aò’e hifandrapake o tañakoo, mahavohotse fale torisìke o sirakoo.
35 You have also given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand holds me up, and your help has made me great.
Natolo’o ahy ka ty fikalan-defom-pandrombaha’o; naho nanozañe ahy ty fitàn-kavana’o, nampionjoñe ahiko ty hamoran’ arofo’o.
36 You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
Nihalavae’o ty fandingàñako ambaneko eo, fe tsy nidorasitse o tombokoo.
37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were destroyed.
Nihoridañeko o rafelahikoo le nahatratse, tsy himpoly iraho naho tsy t’ie fonga rotsake.
38 I struck them through, so that they did not rise. They fell beneath my feet.
Ie tinomboko tsy hiongake ka, nikorovok’ ambane’ tomboko eo.
39 For you have equipped me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
Fa nampidiañe’o amako ty haozarañe hialiako naho ampiandalie’o amako o miatreatre ahikoo.
40 You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, that I might cut off those who hate me.
Nampitolihe’o amako ty hàto’ o rafelahikoo, vaho rinotsako o malaiñ’ahikoo.
41 They cried, but there was none to save; even to Jehovah, but he did not answer them.
Nikaike iereo, fe tsy amam-pandrombake— am’Iehovà, fe tsy tinoi’e.
42 Then I ground them as fine as the dust on the surface of a path. Like the mud in the streets, I trampled them.
Aa le dinemodemoko ho deboke, haboelen-tioke iereo, nariako hoe litsak’ an-dalañe ey.
43 You have delivered me from the strivings of the people. You have made me the head of the nations. A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
Vinotso’o ami’ty fioliñoliña’ ondatio iraho, le nampifehè’o ahy o fifelehañeo; mitoroñe ahy ondaty nofikoo.
44 As soon as they hear of me they obey me. Foreigners come cringing to me;
Vata’e mahajanjiñe iereo, le manoiñe ahy. mitsolofìñe amako o anan-drenetaneo.
45 they are not bound in chains.
Minik’ avao o anan’ambahinio, le mihondrahondra t’ie miakatse am-pitsifira’e ao.
46 Jehovah lives; and blessed be my rock. Exalted be the God of my salvation,
Veloñe t’Iehovà! Andriaño i lamilamikoy! onjoneñe t’i Andrianañaharem- pandrombahañe ahiko,
47 even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.
i Andrianañahare mpamale-fate ho ahiy, naho mampiandaly ondatio ambaneko eo,
48 He rescues me from my enemies. Yes, you lift me up above those who rise up against me. You deliver me from the violent man.
Haha’e amo rafelahikoo iraho, toe onjone’o ambone’ o mpitroatse amakoo, vaho avotso’o am’ ondaty mitrotrofiakeo.
49 Therefore I will praise you, Jehovah, among the nations, and will sing praises to your name.
Aa le handriañeko amo fifeheañeo irehe ry Iehovà; vaho ho saboeko ty Tahina’o.
50 He gives great deliverance to his king, and shows loving kindness to his anointed, to David and to his descendants, until forever.
Ra’elahy ty fandrombahañe atolo’e amy mpanjaka’ey; vaho iferenaiña’e i noriza’ey, i Davide naho i tarira’ey nainai’e donia.
