< Psalms 14 >
1 [For the Chief Musician. By David.] The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do abominable works. There is none who does good.
Kuom jatend wer. Zaburi mar Daudi. Ngʼat mofuwo wacho e chunye niya, “Nyasaye onge.” Gin joma okethore, timbegi richo mokalo tongʼ, onge kata ngʼato achiel matimo maber.
2 Jehovah looks down from heaven on the descendants of Adam, to see if there are any who are wise, who seek after God.
Jehova Nyasaye ngʼiyo ji duto gie polo, mondo oneye ka bende nitie moro kuomgi ma nigi winjo, kata ka bende nitie moro kuomgi mamanyo Nyasaye.
3 They have all turned away. They have together become corrupt. There is no one who does good, no, not one.
Ji duto osebaro, giduto kaachiel gisedoko joma okethore; onge ngʼama timo maber, onge kata achiel.
4 Have all evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread? They do not call on Jehovah.
Bende joma timo timbe maricho dipuonjre adier? Gin joma kidho joga kaka ji chamo kuon; kendo gin joma ok luong Jehova Nyasaye mondo okonygi.
5 There they are utterly terrified, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
Negie kaka luoro dwaro negogi, nikech Nyasaye nitie e chokruok mar joma kare.
6 You would frustrate the plans of the lowly, but Jehovah is his refuge.
Un joma timo gik maricho, uketho chenro joma odhier, to Jehova Nyasaye e kar pondo margi.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion. When Jehovah restores the fortunes of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be glad.
Yaye, mad warruok mar Israel obi koa Sayun! Kinde ma Jehova Nyasaye duogo ne joge mwandugi, onego joka Jakobo obed moil kendo Israel obed mamor!
