< Psalms 139 >

1 [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] Jehovah, you have searched me, and you know me.
Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ. Dawid dwom. Ao Awurade, woahwehwɛ me mu na woahunu me.
2 You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.
Wonim mʼasetena ne me sɔreɛ; wofiri akyirikyiri hunu mʼadwene mu.
3 You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Wonim mʼadifirie ne me nnaeɛ; wonim mʼakwan nyinaa.
4 For there is not a word on my tongue, but, look, Jehovah, you know it altogether.
Ansa na mɛbue mʼano akasa no Ao Awurade, na wonim ne nyinaa dada.
5 You encircle me behind and in front, and you place your hand upon me.
Woatwa me ho nyinaa ahyia na wobɔ me ho ban.
6 This knowledge is beyond me. It's lofty. I can't attain it.
Saa nimdeɛ yi boro me nteaseɛ so, ɛyɛ me nwanwa dodo.
7 Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence?
Ɛhe na mɛtumi afiri wo honhom anim akorɔ? Ɛhe na mɛtumi adwane afiri wʼanim akorɔ?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, look, you are there. (Sheol h7585)
Sɛ meforo soro a, wowɔ hɔ. Na mekɔsɛ me kɛtɛ wɔ asaman a, wo nie. (Sheol h7585)
9 If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea;
Sɛ mede adekyeeɛ ntaban tu na mekɔtena ɛpo akyi nohoa a,
10 Even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me.
mpo ɛhɔ na wo nsa bɛgya me akɔ, na wo nsa nifa bɛsɔ me mu.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will overwhelm me; the light around me will be night;"
Na meka sɛ, “Ampa ara esum mmɛkata me so na hann nnane adesaeɛ ntwa me ho nhyia a,”
12 even the darkness doesn't hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.
esum mpo nnyɛ sum mma wo; na anadwo bɛhyerɛn sɛ awia; esum ne hann yɛ wo pɛ.
13 For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb.
Na wo na wobɔɔ me honhom wonwonoo me wɔ me maame awotwaa mu.
14 I will give thanks to you, for I am awesomely and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and my soul knows that very well.
Mekamfo wo, ɛfiri sɛ woyɛɛ me anwanwakwan so a ɛyɛ hu. Wo nnwuma yɛ nwanwa. Menim ɛno yie pa ara.
15 My frame wasn't hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the depths of the earth.
Wɔamfa me bɔberɛ anhinta wo ɛberɛ a wɔyɛɛ me kɔkoam no; ɛberɛ a wɔnwonoo me asase yam no,
16 Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
wʼani hunuu me ɛberɛ a meyɛ mogya toa no. Nna dodoɔ a woatwa ama me no, wɔatwerɛ ne nyinaa wɔ wo nwoma mu ansa na emu baako reba mu.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God. How vast is the sum of them.
Ao Onyankopɔn, wo nsusuiɛ som bo ma me! Woka ne nyinaa bɔ mu a, ɛso dodo!
18 If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I wake up, I am still with you.
Sɛ mese mɛkan a, ne dodoɔ bɛboro mpoano anwea, sɛ menyane a, me ne wo wɔ hɔ ara.
19 If only you, God, would kill the wicked. Get away from me, you bloodthirsty men.
Ao Onyankopɔn, sɛ anka wobɛkumkum amumuyɛfoɔ a! Momfiri me so, mo mogyapɛfoɔ!
20 For they speak against you wickedly. Your enemies take your name in vain.
Wɔde adwemmɔne ka wo ho asɛm; wʼatamfoɔ mmɔ wo din pa.
21 Jehovah, do I not hate those who hate you? Am I not grieved with those who rise up against you?
Ao Awurade, metane wɔn a wɔtane wo, na mekyiri wɔn a wɔsɔre tia woɔ.
22 I hate them with perfect hatred. They have become my enemies.
Menni hwee sɛ ɔtan a mewɔ ma wɔn; mefa wɔn sɛ mʼatamfoɔ.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts.
Hwehwɛ me mu, Ao Onyankopɔn, na hunu mʼakoma; sɔ me hwɛ na hunu mʼadwene.
24 See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way.
Hwɛ sɛ bɔne bi wɔ me mu a, na fa me fa ɛkwan a ɛkɔ daa nkwa so.
