< Psalms 121 >

1 [A Song of Ascents.] I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from?
A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where will help for me come?
2 My help comes from Jehovah, who made heaven and earth.
My help will come from the Lord the creator of heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber.
Your foot he will not let stumble: he who guards you will not sleep.
4 Look, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Jehovah is your keeper. Jehovah is your shade on your right hand.
The Lord himself protects you, is your shelter beside you.
6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
The sun by day will not strike you, nor the moon by night.
7 Jehovah will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul.
From all harm the Lord will guard you, will watch over your life.
8 Jehovah will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore.
The Lord will guard your going and coming from now and for evermore.
