< Psalms 12 >

1 [For the Chief Musician; upon an eight-stringed lyre. A Psalm of David.] Help, Jehovah; for the faithful ceases. For the loyal have vanished from among the descendants of Adam.
[Psalm lal David] O LEUM GOD, kasrekut! Wangin sie mwet wo lula, Ac mwet suwoswos tia ku in sifilpa koneyukyak.
2 Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart.
Mwet nukewa kikiap nu sin sie sin sie; Elos kiapu sie sin sie ke kaskas in aklukuk.
3 May Jehovah cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts,
O LEUM GOD, kutongya loh ma kaskas in aklukuk inge, Ac kaliya oalin mwet filang su fahk mu,
4 who have said, "With our tongue we will prevail. Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?"
“Ke kas na lasr kut eis ma kut lungse. Kut ac fahk na ma kut lungse fahk, Ac wangin mwet ku in kutongkuti.”
5 "Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says Jehovah; "I will place in safety the one who longs for it."
LEUM GOD El fahk, “Inge nga ac fah tuyak, Ke sripen mwet enenu elos akkeokyeyuk, Ac mwet kalyeiyuk elos keoklana. Nga ac sang molela nu selos oana elos kena kac.”
6 The words of Jehovah are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.
Wulela lun LEUM GOD nasnas ac fal in lulalfongiyuk; Wulela lal nasnas oana silver Ma liklikiyuki pacl itkosr ke funyu in aknasnas.
7 You, Jehovah, will protect us. You will guard us from this generation forever.
LEUM GOD, kom fah karinginkutme; Kom fah liyekutyang liki kain mwet inge.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when what is vile is exalted among the descendants of Adam.
Mwet koluk uh oasr yen nukewa Ac mwet nukewa kaksakinna ma koluk uh.
