Psalms 113

1 Praise JAH. Praise, you servants of Jehovah, praise the name of Jehovah.

הללו-יה הללו עבדי יהוה הללו את-שם יהוה

2 Blessed be the name of Jehovah, from this time forth and forevermore.

יהי שם יהוה מברך-- מעתה ועד-עולם

3 From the rising of the sun to the going down of the same, Jehovah's name is to be praised.

ממזרח-שמש עד-מבואו-- מהלל שם יהוה

4 Jehovah is high above all nations, his glory above the heavens.

רם על-כל-גוים יהוה על השמים כבודו

5 Who is like Jehovah, our God, who has his seat on high,

מי כיהוה אלהינו-- המגביהי לשבת

6 Who stoops down to see in heaven and in the earth?

המשפילי לראות-- בשמים ובארץ

7 He raises up the poor out of the dust. Lifts up the needy from the ash heap;

מקימי מעפר דל מאשפת ירים אביון

8 that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

להושיבי עם-נדיבים עם נדיבי עמו

9 He settles the barren woman in her home, as a joyful mother of children. Praise JAH.
