< Proverbs 30 >
1 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, the oracle: the man says to Ithiel, to Ithiel and Ucal:
Jakeh chapa Agur thuseidoh ho hichea hi kiphong doh ahi. O Yahweh Pakai keima kachol in kalhasam lheh tai.
2 "Surely I am the most ignorant man, and do not have a man's understanding.
Keima mihem khat hina angol-a kahi, chule mihem thil hetkhen themna bang in hetkhenna kainei tapoi.
3 I have not learned wisdom, neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.
Keiman chihna thucheng kaja kha hih laijin, mithengpa kiti jong kaphongdoh kha naipoi.
4 Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established every part of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you know?
Elohim Pathen tailou koiham vanna kal touva hung kumsuh kit? Koiham akhut tum'a huituh theija? Koiham aponsil a twi chun thei? Koiham vannoi pumpi sem? Ama chu amin ipi ham chule achapa min ipiham? Nang in vang nahet chetset ahi.
5 "Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Elohim Pathen thucheng jouse hi adihsoh keijin, Ama henga kiselte ding in lim-in apang e.
6 Do not add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.
Elohim Pathen seidohsa thucheng belap hih hel in, achuti louva ahileh aman naphosal ding; mijou nahi lo ding ahi.
7 "Two things I have asked of you; do not deny me before I die:
O Yahweh Pakai thilni kangai chae, kathi kahsen hiche thilni hi nei-it peh hihbeh in.
8 Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me;
Amasan jouthu kaseilouna dingin neipan pin, aninan vaichatna le haona neipe hih in; keima nehkhop bep ding in neivah jing tan.
9 lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is Jehovah?' or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.
Ajeh chu keima hung haobeh seh leng, “Yahweh Pakai chu koiham?” tia nangma douna thu kasei lo ding; vaicha behseh kit leng kaguchat lo kit ding, Elohim, ka Pathen mintheng kasuh thang bep ding ahi.
10 "Do not slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty.
Soh chu apupa kom'a heh hih beh in, ajeh chu aman nahin sapset a naje lo thei ahi.
11 There is a generation that curses their father, and doesn't bless their mother.
Mi kimkhat chu apute apate gaosap ngam jong aum in, hijeh chun apite anute chan geijin phatthei achang pouve.
12 There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness.
Amaho mitmu jenga theng kisa jong aum uvin, hinlah athen lounauva kon in khatcha angim deh pouve.
13 There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes. Their eyelids are lifted up.
Kimkhat machu amitmu uvin akichoi sang un, amit dang-chung uva chunglam ve jong aum un ahi.
14 There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaws like knives, to devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men.
Amahon chemjam tobang ha hemtah anei jun, chule aha jouseu jong chemcha hemtah tobang ahin; leiset chunga vaichate bahgam ding angaito uvin, mihem lah'a neilalte bah gam din akigo uve.
15 "The leach has two daughters: 'Give, give.' "There are three things that are never satisfied; four that do not say, 'Enough:'
Vot'in nou ni anei jin, “Neipeh ben, neipeh ben,” ati lhon e. Chule chim louhel a thil thum aum in; thil in jong, “Alhingsel tai,” atideh pon ahi.
16 Sheol, the barren womb; the earth that is not satisfied with water; and the fire that doesn't say, 'Enough.' (Sheol )

17 "The eye that mocks at his father, and scorns obedience to his mother: the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the young eagles shall eat it.
Koi hileh apa mitche keh dan a, chule anu thua nung lou chu phaicham'a um va-ah ten akilo diu, mu-thong hon along aneh diu ahi.
18 "There are three things which are too amazing for me, four which I do not understand:
Kei ding in thil thum hi datmah umtah ahin, chule kahet khen thei lou thil Li aum in ahi.
19 The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent on a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maiden.
Vanlaijol'a muvanlai lenna lampi, Songpi chunga gul kitholna lampi, Twikhanglen lailunga touna-kong kitolna lampi, chule pasal khat in nungah khat alungset jidan.
20 "So is the way of an adulterous woman: she eats and wipes her mouth, and says, 'I have done nothing wrong.'
Numei-jong chondan hi hiti ahi: an anen, amuh akitheh jol loijin, “Keiman thil dihlou ima kabolpoi,” tin aseije.
21 "For three things the earth tremble, and under four, it can't bear up:
Thil thum hin leiset ahot-ling jin, thil Li vang leiset in athoh joupoi.
22 For a servant when he is king; a fool when he is filled with food;
Soh chu hung leng changa, chule mingol in a-oi vaset'a an anehji ahi.
23 for an unloved woman when she is married; and a handmaid who is heir to her mistress.
Min adeilou numei chun jiding pasal akimudoh jia, soh numei jin apinu akhel jiteng,
24 "There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise:
Leiset chunga thilneo li aum in, hiche thil Li hohi achinga ching thei ahiuve.
25 the ants are not a strong people, yet they provide their food in the summer.
Sihmi tehi mihem ahilou vang un ahat thei lheh jeng un, nipilai sung sen neh ding akikhol khom jiuvin ahi.
26 The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks.
Boi ho jong hi mihem banga hat ahipouvin, hinlah songpi lah jenga jong ko akivu jiuvin ahi.
27 The locusts have no king, yet they advance in ranks.
Khaokho ten jong leng aneipouvin, hinlah agol gol chan akitol jiuve.
28 You can catch a lizard with your hands, yet it is in kings' palaces.
Daidep jong khu bailam tah'a nakhut a namat thei ahin, hiche jeng jong hi lengpa insunga cheng jing ahi.
29 "There are three things which are stately in their march, four which are stately in going:
Thil thum phatah'a kijot del aum un, chule thil li jong chu akalseu akitoh del in ahi.
30 The lion, which is mightiest among animals, and doesn't turn away for any;
Sa jouse lah'a keipi bahkai hi ahat pen ahin, imacha masanga anung chon ngaipoi.
31 the greyhound, the male goat also; and the king against whom there is no rising up.
Ahpi lah ahiteng ahchal in agep lele ahin, kelchal ahin, kel-hon lamkaijin apang in, lengpan amite henga thu aseija ahin lamkaiji ahi.
32 "If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, put your hand over your mouth.
Nangma mingol nahia, nang le nang kichoi sanga nahim, thilphalou khattou nangaitoa ahileh nakhut in nakam kisip chah jeng in.
33 For as the churning of milk brings forth butter, and the wringing of the nose brings forth blood; so the forcing of wrath brings forth strife."
Ijeh-inem itileh bongnoi imeh leh bongnoi ha asodoh jin, chule nah hom isip sip teng thisan apotdoh jin, ilung ahan jinga ahileh kinahna jeng asohsah jin ahi.
