Matthew 22
1 Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
१येशू त्यांच्याशी पुन्हा एकदा दाखल्यांनी बोलला, त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हणाला,
2 "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
२“स्वर्गाचे राज्य एका राजासारखे आहे, त्याने त्याच्या मुलाच्या लग्नानिमित्त भोजनाचे आमंत्रण दिले.
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
३त्याने त्याच्या चाकरांना पाठवून, ज्यांना लग्नाचे आमंत्रण होते अशांना बोलाविण्यास सांगितले. पण लोकांनी राजाच्या मेजवानीस येण्यास नकार दिला.
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Look, I have made ready my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast."'
४नंतर राजाने आणखी काही चाकरांना पाठवून दिले, राजा चाकरांना म्हणाला, मी त्या लोकांस अगोदरच आमंत्रण दिले आहे म्हणून आता जा आणि त्यांना सांगा, पाहा, मेजवानी तयार आहे, मी माझे चांगल्यातील चांगले बैल आणि वासरे कापली आहेत आणि सगळे तयार आहे, लग्नाच्या मेजवानीस या.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
५चाकर गेले आणि त्यांनी लोकांस येण्यास सांगितले, पण त्यांनी चाकरांकडे लक्ष दिले नाही. ते आपापल्या कामास निघून गेले. एक शेतात काम करायला गेला, तर दुसरा व्यापार करायला गेला.
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
६काहीनी चाकरांना पकडून अपमान केला व त्यास जिवे मारले.
7 The king was enraged, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
७राजा फार रागावला. त्याने त्याचे सैन्य पाठवले आणि त्यांनी त्या खुन्यांना ठार मारले. त्यांनी त्यांचे शहर जाळले.
8 "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren't worthy.
८मग राजा त्याच्या चाकरांना म्हणाला, मेजवानी तयार आहे, पण ज्यांना बोलावले होते ते लायक नव्हते,
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.'
९म्हणून रस्त्यांच्या कोपऱ्यावर जा आणि तेथे तुम्हास जे भेटतील त्यांना लग्नाच्या मेजवानीला बोलवा.
10 And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was filled with those reclining.
१०मग ते चाकर रस्त्यावर गेले. त्यांना जे जे लोक भेटले त्यांना जमा केले. ज्याठिकाणी लग्नाची मेजवानी तयार होती तेथे चाकरांनी चांगल्या आणि वाईट लोकांस जमा केले आणि लग्नाचा मंडप पाहुण्यांनी भरून गेला.
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who did not have on wedding clothing,
११मग त्या सर्वांना भेटण्यास राजा तेथे आला. लग्नाचा पोशाख न केलेला एक मनुष्य राजाला तेथे आढळला.
12 and he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?' He was speechless.
१२राजा त्यास म्हणाला, मित्रा, तू लग्नाचा पोशाख न घालता तू येथे कसा आलास? पण त्यास काही उत्तर देता येईना.
13 Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.'
१३तेव्हा राजाने चाकरांना सांगितले, या मनुष्याचे हात व पाय बांधा आणि त्यास बाहेर अंधारात टाका, तेथे रडणे आणि दात खाणे चालेल.
14 For many are called, but few chosen."
१४कारण बोलावलेले पुष्कळ आहेत पण निवडलेले थोडके आहेत.”
15 Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
१५मग परूशी गेले आणि येशूला कसे पकडावे याचा कट करू लागले. त्यास शब्दात पकडण्याचा प्रयत्न करू लागले.
16 They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you are not partial to anyone.
१६परूश्यांनी त्यांचे शिष्य हेरोद्यांसह त्याच्याकडे पाठवून. ते म्हणाले, “गुरुजी, आम्हास माहीत आहे की आपण खरे आहात आणि तुम्ही देवाचा मार्ग खरेपणाने शिकवता व दुसरे काय विचार करतात याची तुम्ही पर्वा करीत नाही आणि तुम्ही लोकांमध्ये पक्षपात दाखवत नाही.
17 Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
१७म्हणून तुमचे मत आम्हास सांगा, कैसराला कर देणे योग्य आहे की नाही?”
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
१८येशूला त्यांचा दुष्ट उद्देश माहीत होता, म्हणून तो म्हणाला, “ढोंग्यांनो, तुम्ही माझी परीक्षा का घेत आहात?
19 Show me the tax money." They brought to him a denarius.
१९कर भरण्यासाठी जे नाणे वापरले जाते ते मला दाखवा.” त्या लोकांनी येशूला चांदीचे एक नाणे दाखविले.
20 He asked them, "Whose is this image and inscription?"
२०तेव्हा येशूने विचारले, “या नाण्यावर कोणाचे चित्र आणि नाव लिहिलेले आहे?”
21 They said to him, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
२१त्या लोकांनी उत्तर दिले, “कैसराचे.” यावर येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “जे कैसराचे आहे ते कैसराला द्या आणि जे देवाचे आहे ते देवाला द्या.”
22 When they heard it, they were astonished, and left him, and went away.
२२येशू जे म्हणाला ते त्या लोकांनी ऐकले तेव्हा ते आश्चर्यचकित झाले आणि तेथून निघून गेले.
23 On that day Sadducees came to him, the ones saying that there is no resurrection. And they asked him,
२३पुनरुत्थान होत नाही, असे म्हणणाऱ्या काही सदूक्यांनी त्याच दिवशी त्याच्याकडे येऊन त्यास विचारले,
24 saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother is to marry his wife, and raise up offspring for his brother.'
२४ते म्हणाले, “गुरूजी, मोशेने शिकविले की, जर एखादा मनुष्य मरण पावला आणि त्यास मूलबाळ नसेल, तर त्याच्या भावाने त्याच्या पत्नीशी लग्न करावे, म्हणजे मरण पावलेल्या भावाचा वंश चालेल.
25 Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.
२५आता, आमच्यामध्ये सात भाऊ होते. पहिल्याने लग्न केले आणि नंतर तो मरण पावला आणि त्यास मूल नसल्याने त्याच्या भावाने त्याच्या पत्नीशी लग्न केले.
26 In like manner the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
२६असेच दुसऱ्या व तिसऱ्या भावाच्या बाबतीतही घडले व सातही भावांनी तिच्याशी लग्न केले आणि मरण पावले.
27 After them all, the woman died.
२७शेवटी ती स्त्री मरण पावली.
28 In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her."
२८आता प्रश्न असा आहे की, पुनरुत्थानाच्या वेळेस ती कोणाची पत्नी असेल, कारण सर्व सातही भावांनी तिच्याशी लग्न केले होते.”
29 But Jesus answered them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
२९येशूने त्यांना उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “तुम्ही चुकीची समजूत करून घेत आहात, कारण तुम्हास शास्त्रलेख व देवाचे सामर्थ्य माहीत नाही.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven.
३०तुम्हास समजले पाहिजे की, पुनरुत्थानानंतरच्या जीवनात लोक लग्न करणार नाहीत किंवा करून देणार नाहीत, उलट ते स्वर्गात देवदूतासारखे असतील.
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
३१तरी, मरण पावलेल्यांच्या पुनरुत्थानाविषयी देवाने तुम्हास जे सांगितले ते तुम्ही अजूनपर्यंत वाचले नाही काय?
32 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
३२ते असे की, ‘मी अब्राहामाचा देव, इसहाकाचा देव आणि याकोबाचा देव आहे,’ तो मरण पावलेल्यांचा देव नाही तर जिवंताचा देव आहे.”
33 When the crowds heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
३३जेव्हा जमावाने हे ऐकले तेव्हा त्याच्या शिकवणीने आश्चर्यचकित झाले.
34 But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
३४येशूने सदूकी लोकांस निरूत्तर केले. असे ऐकून परूश्यांनी एकत्र येऊन मसलत केली.
35 One of them, a Law scholar, asked him a question, testing him.
३५एक परूशी नियमशास्त्राचा जाणकार होत, त्याने त्याची परीक्षा पाहावी म्हणून प्रश्न केला.
36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?"
३६त्याने विचारले, “गुरूजी, नियमशास्त्रातील कोणती आज्ञा सर्वांत महत्त्वाची आहे?”
37 He said to him, "'You are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
३७येशूने उत्तर दिले, “‘प्रभू आपला देव याजवर तू आपल्या पूर्ण अंतःकरणाने, आपल्या पूर्ण जिवाने, आपल्या पूर्ण मनाने प्रीती कर.’
38 This is the great and first commandment.
३८ही पहिली आणि मोठी आज्ञा आहे.
39 A second likewise is this, 'You are to love your neighbor as yourself.'
३९हिच्यासारखी दुसरी एक आहे ‘जशी आपणावर तशी आपल्या शेजाऱ्यावर प्रीती कर.’
40 The whole Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments."
४०सर्व नियमशास्त्र आणि संदेष्ट्यांचे लिखाण या दोन आज्ञांवरच अवलंबून आहे.”
41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
४१म्हणून परूशी एकत्र जमले असताना, येशूने त्यांना प्रश्न केला.
42 saying, "What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "Of David."
४२येशू म्हणाला, “ख्रिस्ताविषयी तुमचे काय मत आहे? तो कोणाचा पुत्र आहे?” परूश्यांनी उत्तर दिले, “ख्रिस्त हा दाविदाचा पुत्र आहे.”
43 He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
४३त्यावर येशू त्यांना म्हणाला, “तर दावीद देवाच्या आत्म्याद्वारे, त्याला प्रभू असे कसे म्हणतो? तो म्हणतो,
44 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet'?
४४‘परमेश्वराने माझ्या प्रभूला सांगितले की, “मी तुझे वैरी तुझे पादासन करीपर्यंत, माझ्या उजव्या बाजूला बैस.”
45 "If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?"
४५आता, मग जर दावीद त्यास प्रभू म्हणतो तर तो दाविदाचा पुत्र कसा होऊ शकतो?
46 No one was able to answer him a word, neither did anyone dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
४६तेव्हा कोणाला एका शब्दानेही त्यास उत्तर देता येईना आणि त्या दिवसानंतर त्यास आणखी प्रश्न विचारण्याचे धाडस कोणीही केले नाही.
