Matthew 18
1 In that hour the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
அந்த வேளையில் சீடர்கள் இயேசுவிடம் வந்து, “பரலோக அரசில் யார் பெரியவன்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
2 He called a little child to himself, and set him in the midst of them,
அவர் ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையை தன்னிடமாக அழைத்து, அவர்கள் நடுவில் நிறுத்தினார்.
3 and said, "Truly I tell you, unless you turn, and become as little children, you will in no way enter into the kingdom of heaven.
அவர் அவர்களிடம், “நான் உங்களுக்கு உண்மையைச் சொல்கிறேன், நீங்கள் மனமாற்றம் அடைந்து சிறுபிள்ளைகளைப்போல் ஆகாவிட்டால் ஒருபோதும் பரலோக அரசிற்குள் செல்லமாட்டீர்கள்.
4 Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
ஆதலால், இந்தச் சிறுபிள்ளையைப்போல் தன்னைத் தாழ்த்துகிறவனே பரலோக அரசில் பெரியவனாய் இருக்கிறான்” என்றார்.
5 Whoever receives one such little child in my name receives me,
“இப்படி ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையை என் பெயரில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்.
6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him that a huge millstone should be hung around his neck, and that he should be sunk in the depths of the sea.
“என்னில் விசுவாசம் வைத்துள்ள, இந்தச் சிறியவர்களில் எவரையாவது பாவத்தில் விழப்பண்ணினால், அவனுடைய கழுத்திலே பெரிய திரிகைக் கல்லொன்றைக் கட்டி, கடலின் ஆழத்தில் அவன் தள்ளப்படுவது அவனுக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.
7 "Woe to the world because of stumbling blocks. For there will always be something to cause people to stumble, but woe to the person through whom the stumbling block comes.
மக்களைப் பாவத்தில் விழப்பண்ணும், காரியங்களின் நிமித்தம், உலகத்திற்கு ஐயோ! இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியங்கள் வரவேண்டியதே. ஆனால் யார் மூலம் அது வருகிறதோ அந்த மனிதனுக்கு ஐயோ!
8 If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life maimed or crippled, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into the everlasting fire. (aiōnios g166)
உனது கையோ அல்லது காலோ உன்னைப் பாவம் செய்யத் தூண்டினால், அதை வெட்டி எறிந்துபோடு. இரண்டு கைகளையும், இரண்டு கால்களையும் உடையவனாய் நித்திய நெருப்பிற்குள் தள்ளப்படுவதைப் பார்க்கிலும், ஊனமாகவோ முடமாகவோ நித்திய வாழ்விற்குள் செல்வது உனக்குச் சிறந்தது. (aiōnios g166)
9 If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out, and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the fire of hell. (Geenna g1067)
உனது கண் உன்னைப் பாவம் செய்யத் தூண்டினால், அதைத்தோண்டி எறிந்துவிடு. இரண்டு கண்களுடையவனாய் நரகத்தின் நெருப்பிற்குள் தள்ளப்படுவதைப் பார்க்கிலும் ஒரு கண்ணுடன் நித்திய வாழ்விற்குள் செல்வது சிறந்தது. (Geenna g1067)
10 See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
“நீங்கள் இந்தச் சிறியவர்களில் ஒருவனையும் அலட்சியம் பண்ணாதபடி கவனமாய் இருங்கள். ஏனெனில் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், பரலோகத்திலுள்ள அவர்களுக்குரிய இறைத்தூதர்கள் எனது பரலோக பிதாவின் முகத்தை எப்பொழுதும் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
ஏனெனில் மானிடமகன் வழிதப்பிப் போனவர்களை இரட்சிக்கவே வந்தார்.
12 "What do you think? If someone has one hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine, go to the mountains, and seek that which has gone astray?
“நீங்கள் என்ன நினைக்கிறீர்கள்? ஒருவனுக்கு நூறு ஆடுகள் இருந்தாலும், அவற்றில் ஒன்று வழிதவறிப் போனால், அந்தத் தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது ஆடுகளையும் மலைப்பகுதியில் விட்டுவிட்டு, வழி தவறியதைத் தேடிப் போகமாட்டானோ?
13 If he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine which have not gone astray.
நான் உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், அவன் அதைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கும்போது, வழிதவறிப் போகாத தொண்ணூற்றொன்பது ஆடுகளைவிட, அந்த ஒரு ஆட்டைக் குறித்து அதிகமாக சந்தோஷப்படுகிறான்.
14 Even so it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
அதுபோலவே இந்தச் சிறியவர்களில் ஒருவனும் வழிதவறிப் போவது உங்கள் பரலோக பிதாவின் விருப்பமல்ல.
15 "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.
“உன் சகோதர சகோதரிகளுள் ஒருவர் உனக்கு எதிராகப் பாவம்செய்தால், நீ போய் அவருடைய குற்றத்தை அவருக்குச் சுட்டிக்காட்டு. உங்கள் இருவருக்கும் இடையில் மட்டுமே அது செய்யப்படட்டும். அவர் உனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தால், நீ உனது சகோதரன் அல்லது சகோதரியை இழக்காமல் காத்துக்கொள்வாய்.
16 But if he does not listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
ஆனால் அவர் உனக்குச் செவிகொடாவிட்டால், ‘எல்லா காரியங்களும் இரண்டு அல்லது மூன்று சாட்சிகளின் மூலம் உறுதி செய்யப்படும்படி,’ வேறு ஒருவரையோ இருவரையோ உன்னுடன்கூட கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோ.
17 If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If he refuses to hear the church also, let him be to you as an unbeliever or a tax collector.
அவர் அவர்களுக்கும் செவிகொடுக்க மறுத்தால், அதைத் திருச்சபைக்குக் கூறு; அவர் திருச்சபைக்கும் செவிகொடுக்க மறுத்தால், அவரை இறைவனை அறியாதவரைப் போலவும் வரி வசூலிக்கிறவரைப் போலவும் நடத்து.
18 Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
“மேலும் நான் உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், நீங்கள் எதைப் பூமியில் கட்டுகிறீர்களோ, அது பரலோகத்திலும் கட்டப்படும். நீங்கள் பூமியில் எதைக் கட்டவிழ்க்கிறீர்களோ, அது பரலோகத்திலும் கட்டவிழ்க்கப்படும்.
19 Again, truly I tell you, that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven.
“மீண்டும் நான் உண்மையாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்கிறேன், நீங்கள் கேட்கும் எதைக் குறித்தாவது பூமியிலே உங்களில் இருவர் ஒருமனப்பட்டிருந்தால், பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற என் பிதாவினால் அது உங்களுக்காகச் செய்யப்படும்.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."
ஏனெனில் எங்கே இரண்டு அல்லது மூன்றுபேர் என் பெயரில் ஒன்றாய்கூடி இருக்கிறார்களோ, அங்கே நான் அவர்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
21 Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how often can my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
அதற்குப் பின்பு பேதுரு இயேசுவிடம் வந்து அவரிடம், “ஆண்டவரே, என் சகோதரன் எனக்கெதிராகப் பாவம் செய்யும்போது, அவனை நான் எத்தனை முறை மன்னிக்க வேண்டும்? ஏழுமுறை வரைக்குமோ?” எனக் கேட்டான்.
22 Jesus said to him, "I do not tell you up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
இயேசு மறுமொழியாக, “ஏழுமுறை மட்டுமல்ல, எழுபது முறைக்கும் அதிகமாக” என்று நான் உனக்குச் சொல்கிறேன் என்றார்.
23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.
“பரலோக அரசானது ஒரு அரசன் தனது வேலைக்காரர்களுடன் கணக்குப் பார்க்க வந்ததுபோல் இருக்கிறது.
24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.
அவன் கணக்குப் பார்க்கத் தொடங்கியபோது, பத்து கோடி பொற்காசுகள் கடன்பட்ட ஒருவன் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டான்.
25 But because he could not pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
அவனோ அதைச் செலுத்தமுடியாத நிலையில் இருந்தான். அதனால் அவனையும், அவனது மனைவியையும், பிள்ளைகளையும், அவனிடத்தில் உள்ளவை எல்லாவற்றையும் விற்றுக் கடனைத் திருப்பிச் செலுத்தும்படி, அவனுடைய எஜமான் உத்தரவிட்டான்.
26 The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, 'Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all.'
“வேலைக்காரனோ அவனுக்கு முன்னால் மண்டியிட்டு, ‘என்னிடத்தில் பொறுமையாய் இரும், நான் எல்லாவற்றையும் திரும்பக் கொடுப்பேன்’ என்று கெஞ்சிக்கேட்டான்.
27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
வேலைக்காரனின் எஜமான் அவனில் அனுதாபப்பட்டு, அவனுடைய கடனை ரத்து செய்து, அவனைப் போகவிட்டான்.
28 "But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay what you owe.'
“ஆனால் அந்த வேலைக்காரன் வெளியே போனபோது, தன்னிடத்தில் நூறு வெள்ளிக்காசுகளை கடன்பட்டிருந்த தன் உடன்வேலைக்காரனைக் கண்டான். அவன் அவனைப் பிடித்து தொண்டையை நெரித்து, ‘நீ என்னிடத்தில் கடன்பட்டதைத் திருப்பிக் கொடு’ என வற்புறுத்திக் கேட்டான்.
29 "So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay you all.'
“அவனுடைய உடன்வேலைக்காரன் காலில் விழுந்து, ‘என்னிடத்தில் பொறுமையாய் இரும், நான் உமக்குத் திருப்பிக் கொடுப்பேன்’ எனக் கெஞ்சிக்கேட்டான்.
30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.
“ஆனால் அவனோ அதற்கு மறுத்து, அந்தக் கடனைக் கட்டித் தீர்க்கும் வரைக்கும், அவனைச் சிறையில் அடைத்தான்.
31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.
நடந்தவற்றைக் கண்ட மற்ற வேலைக்காரர் மிகவும் துக்கப்பட்டு, எல்லாவற்றையும் தங்கள் அரசனிடம் போய்ச் சொன்னார்கள்.
32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him, 'You wicked servant. I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.
“அப்பொழுது அரசன் அந்த வேலைக்காரனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, அவனைப் பார்த்து, ‘கொடுமையான வேலைக்காரனே, நீ என்னிடம் கெஞ்சிக் கேட்டபடியினால், நான் உனது கடனையெல்லாம் மன்னித்தேன்.
33 Should you not also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?'
நான் உனக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டியது போல, நீயும் உனது உடன்வேலைக்காரனுக்கு இரக்கம் காட்டியிருக்க வேண்டுமல்லவா?’ என்று கேட்டான்.
34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due.
அவனுடைய எஜமான் கோபங்கொண்டு, அவனது கடன் முழுவதையும் கொடுத்துத் தீர்க்கும்வரை அவனைச் சித்திரவதை செய்யப்படும்படி சிறைக் காவலரிடம் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்.
35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you do not each forgive your brother his trespasses from your heart."
“நீங்களும் உங்கள் சகோதரன் அல்லது சகோதரியை மனப்பூர்வமாய் மன்னிக்காவிட்டால், இவ்வாறே எனது பரலோக பிதாவும் உங்களை நடத்துவார்” என்றார்.
