< Matthew 17 >

1 After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves.
Eta sey egunen buruän, har citzan Iesusec Pierris eta Iacques eta Ioannes haren anayea, eta eraman citzan appart mendi gora batetara.
2 He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his garments became as white as the light.
Eta transfigura cedin hayén aitzinean, eta argui cedin haren beguithartea iguzquia beçala, eta haren abillamenduac churi citecen arguia beçala.
3 And look, Moses and Elijah appeared to them talking with him.
Eta huná, ikus citzaten Moyses eta Elias harequin minço ciradela.
4 Peter answered, and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you want, let us make three tents here: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
Eta ihardesten çuela Pierrisec erran cieçón Iesusi, Iauna, on duc gu hemen garén: nahi baduc, eguin ditzagun hemen hirur tabernacle, bat hire, eta bat Moysesen, eta bat Eliasen.
5 While he was still speaking, look, a bright cloud overshadowed them. And look, a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him."
Oraino hura minço cela, huná, hodey argui batec estal citzan hec: eta huná vozbat hodeyetic, cioela, Haur da ene Seme maitea, ceinetan neure atseguin ona hartzen baitut: huni beha çaquizquiote:
6 When the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid.
Eta hori ençunic discipuluac eror citeçen, bere beguithartén gainera, eta icit citecen haguitz.
7 Jesus came and touched them and said, "Get up, and do not be afraid."
Orduan ethorriric Iesusec hunqui citzan hec, eta erran ciecén, Iaiqui çaitezte, eta etzaretela beldur.
8 And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one except Jesus alone.
Eta goitituric bere beguiac nehor etzeçaten ikus Iesus bera baicen.
9 As they were coming down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "Do not tell anyone what you saw, until the Son of Man has risen from the dead."
Eta menditic iausten ciradela, mana citzan Iesusec, cioela, Nehori ezterroçuela visionea, guiçonaren Semea hiletaric resuscita daiteno.
10 The disciples asked him, saying, "Then why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"
Eta interroga ceçaten bere discipuluéc, cioitela, Cergatic beraz Scribéc erraiten dute ecen Elias behar dela lehen ethorri?
11 And he answered and said, "Elijah indeed comes, and will restore all things,
Eta ihardesten çuela Iesusec erran ciecén, Elias ethorriren bada lehen, eta bere staturaco ditu gauça guciac:
12 but I tell you that Elijah has come already, and they did not recognize him, but did to him whatever they wanted to. Even so the Son of Man will also suffer by them."
Baina erraiten drauçuet ecen Elias ia ethorri dela, eta hura eztute eçagutu vkan, baina eguin dute harçaz nahi vkan duten gucia: hala guiçonaren Semeac-ere suffrituren du hetaric.
13 Then the disciples understood that he spoke to them of John the Baptist.
Orduan adi ceçaten discipuluéc ecen Ioannes Baptistáz erran cerauela.
14 When they came to the crowd, a man came to him, kneeling down to him, saying,
Eta ethorri ciradenean populuagana, ethor cedin harengana guiçombat, haren aitzinean belhauricatzen cela,
15 "Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is epileptic, and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire, and often into the water.
Eta cioela, Iauna, auc pietate ene semeaz, ecen lunatico duc eta gaizqui tormentatzen: ecen maiz erorten duc sura, eta maiz vrera.
16 So I brought him to your disciples, and they could not cure him."
Eta presentatu diraueat hura hire discipuluey, eta ecin sendatu dié.
17 Jesus answered, "Faithless and perverse generation. How long will I be with you? How long will I bear with you? Bring him here to me."
Eta ihardesten çuela Iesusec erran ceçan, O natione sinheste gabea eta bihurriá, noizdrano finean çuequin içanen naiz? noizdrano finean suportaturen çaituztet? ekardaçue hura huna.
18 Jesus rebuked him, the demon went out of him, and the boy was cured from that hour.
Eta mehatcha ceçan deabrua Iesusec, eta ilki cedin harenganic: eta senda cedin muthilla orduandanic.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately, and said, "Why weren't we able to cast it out?"
Orduan ethorriric Iesusgana appart discipuluéc erran cieçoten, Cergatic guc ecin campora egotzi vkan dugu hura?
20 So he said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you."
Eta Iesusec erran ciecen, Çuen sinheste gabeagatic: ecen eguiaz diotsuet, baldin mustarda bihibat den becembat fede baduçue, erranen draucaçue mendi huni, Iregan adi hemendic hara: eta iraganen da, eta etzaiçue deus impossibleric içanen.
Baina deabru mota haur ezta ilkiten orationez eta barurez baicen.
22 While they were gathering together in Galilee, Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men,
Eta hec Galilean vsatzen çutela, erran ciecén Iesusec, Içanen da, guiçonaren Semea liuraturen baita guiçonen escuetara:
23 and they will kill him, and the third day he will be raised up." They were exceedingly sorry.
Eta hilen dute hura: baina hereneco egunean resuscitaturen da: eta triste citecen haguitz.
24 When they had come to Capernaum, those who collected the didrachma coins came to Peter, and said, "Does not your teacher pay the didrachma?"
Eta ethorri içan ciradenean Capernaumera, ethor citecen Pierrisgana didrachmác recebitzen cituztenac, eta erran cieçoten, Çuen magistruac didrachmác eztitu pagatzen?
25 He said, "Yes." When he came into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?"
Dio, Bay. Eta etchean sarthu içan cenean, aitzin cequión IESVS, cioela, Simon, cer irudi çaic? Lurreco reguéc norenganic hartzen dituzté tributac eta taillac? beré haourretaric, ala bercetacoetaric?
26 And when he said, "From strangers." Jesus said to him, "Therefore the children are exempt.
Diotsa Pierrisec, Bercetacoetaric. Diotsa Iesusec, Beraz libre dituc haourrac.
27 But, lest we cause them to stumble, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take up the first fish that comes up. When you have opened its mouth, you will find a stater coin. Take that, and give it to them for me and you."
Baina scandaliza eztitzagunçát, itsassora ioanic, egotzac amuä: eta lehen iganen den arraina har eçac, eta haren ahoa irequiric eridenen baituc staterabat: harturic hura eman iecéc enegatic eta hiregatic.
