< Mark 16 >
1 When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.
ⲁ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϣⲱⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ Ⲙⲁⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ϯⲘⲁⲅⲇⲁⲗⲓⲛⲏ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲙⲁⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ Ⲓⲁⲕⲱⲃⲟⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲥⲁⲗⲱⲙⲏⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⲁⲩϣⲱⲡ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲥⲑⲟⲓⲛⲟⲩϥⲓ ϩⲓⲛⲁ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩ⳿Ⲓ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲑⲁϩⲥϥ.
2 Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.
ⲃ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲛϩⲁⲛ⳿ⲁⲧⲟⲟⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ ⳿ⲙ⳿ⲫⲟⲩⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲓⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓ⳿ⲙϩⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁ ⳿ⲫⲣⲏ ϣⲁⲓ.
3 They were saying among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?"
ⲅ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁⲩϫⲱ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲉⲣⲏⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲛⲓⲙ ⲉⲑⲛⲁ⳿ⲥⲕⲉⲣⲕⲉⲣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲱⲛⲓ ⲛⲁⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲣⲱϥ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲙϩⲁⲩ.
4 for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.
ⲇ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩϥⲁⲓ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩⲃⲁⲗ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϣⲱⲓ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓ⳿ⲱⲛⲓ ϫⲉ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲥⲕⲉⲣⲕⲱⲣϥ ⲛⲉ ⲟⲩⲛⲓϣϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⳿ⲉⲙⲁϣⲱ ⲡⲉ.
5 Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were amazed.
ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩϣⲉⲛⲱⲟⲩ ⳿ⲉϧⲟⲩⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓ⳿ⲙϩⲁⲩ ⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲟⲩϧⲉⲗϣ⳿⳿ⲓⲣⲓ ⲉϥϩⲉⲙⲥⲓ ⲥⲁⲟⲩ⳿ⲓⲛⲁⲙ ⲉϥϫⲏⲗ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲧⲟⲗⲏⲉⲥⲟⲩⲟⲃϣ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩⲉⲣϩⲟϯ.
6 He said to them, "Do not be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Look, the place where they put him.
ⲋ̅⳿ⲛⲑⲟϥ ⲇⲉ ⲡⲉϫⲁϥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲉⲣⲉⲣϩⲟϯ Ⲓⲏ̅ⲥ̅ ⲡⲉⲧⲉⲧⲉⲛⲕⲱϯ ⳿ⲛⲥⲱϥ ⲡⲓⲣⲉⲙⲚⲁⲍⲁⲣⲉⲑ ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲁϣϥ ⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ ⳿ϥϩⲁ⳿ⲙⲛⲁⲓ ⲁⲛ ⲓⲥ ⲡⲓⲙⲁ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲭⲁϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲟϥ.
7 But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.'"
ⲍ̅ⲁⲗⲗⲁ ⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲁϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉϥⲙⲁⲑⲏ ⲧⲏⲥ ⲛⲉⲙ Ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ ϫⲉ ⳿ϥⲛⲁⲉⲣϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉϯⲄⲁⲗⲓⲗⲉ⳿ⲁ ⳿ⲁⲣⲉⲧⲉⲛⲛⲁⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ.
8 They went out, and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.
ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁⲩ⳿ⲓ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲁⲩⲫⲱⲧ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗϩⲁ ⲡⲓ⳿ⲙϩⲁⲩ ⲛⲉ ⳿ⲁ ⲟⲩ⳿ⲥⲑⲉⲣⲧⲉⲣ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲧⲁϩⲱⲟⲩ ⲡⲉ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲟⲩⲧⲱⲙⲧ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩϫⲉ ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϩⲗⲓ ⲛⲁⲩⲉⲣϩⲟϯ ⲅⲁⲣ ⲡⲉ.
9 (note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.
ⲑ̅(note: The most reliable and earliest manuscripts do not include Mark 16:9-20.) ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓ⳿ⲉϩⲟⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛϩⲟⲩⲓⲧ ⳿ⲛⲧⲉ ⲛⲓⲥⲁⲃⲃⲁⲧⲟⲛ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩϥ ⳿ⲛϣⲟⲣⲡ ⳿ⲙⲘⲁⲣⲓ⳿ⲁ ϯⲘⲁⲅⲇⲁⲗⲓⲛⲏ ⲑⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϩⲓ ⲡⲓⲍ̅ ⳿ⲛⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ϩⲓⲱⲧⲥ.
10 She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
ⲓ̅ⲑⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉⲧⲉ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲩ ⲁⲥϣⲉⲛⲁⲥ ⲁⲥϫⲟⲥ ⳿ⲛⲛⲏⲉⲛⲁⲩϣⲱⲡⲓ ⲛⲉⲙⲁϥ ⲉⲩⲉⲣϩⲏⲃⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩⲣⲓⲙⲓ.
11 When they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.

12 And after these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they walked on their way into the country.
ⲓ̅ⲃ̅ⲙⲉⲛⲉⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲁⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲟⲛ ⲛⲁⲣⲉ ⲃ̅ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⳿ⲛϧⲏⲧⲟⲩ ⲉⲩⲙⲟϣⲓ ϩⲓ ⲟⲩⲙⲱⲓⲧ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩϥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ϧⲉⲛ ⲕⲉⲙⲟⲣⲫⲏϧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲧⲕⲟⲓ
13 And they went away and told it to the rest. They did not believe them, either.

14 Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they were reclining, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen.
ⲓ̅ⲇ̅⳿ⲉ⳿ⲡϧⲁ⳿ⲉ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩⲣⲱⲧⲉⲃ ⳿ⲛϫⲉ ⲡⲓⲓ̅ⲁ̅ ⳿ⲙⲙⲁⲑⲏⲧⲏⲥ ⲁϥⲟⲩⲟⲛϩϥ ⳿ⲉⲣⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲛⲁϥϯϣⲱϣ ⳿ⲛⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲧⲁⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⲛⲉⲙ ⲧⲟⲩⲙⲉⲑⲛⲁϣⲧϩⲏ ⲧ ϫⲉ ⳿ⲙⲡⲟⲩⲛⲁϩϯ ⳿ⲉⲛⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁⲩⲛⲁⲩ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲧⲱⲛϥ.
15 And he said to them, "Go into all the world, and proclaim the Good News to the whole creation.
ⲓ̅ⲉ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲁϥϫⲟⲥ ⲛⲱⲟⲩ ϫⲉ ⲙⲁϣⲉⲛⲱⲧⲉⲛ ⳿ⲉⲡⲓⲕⲟⲥⲙⲟⲥ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲱⲃ ⲛⲓⲃⲉⲛ ϩⲓⲱⲓϣ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲉⲩⲁⲅⲅⲉⲗⲓⲟⲛ ⳿ⲙⲡⲓⲥⲱⲛⲧ ⲧⲏⲣϥ.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.
ⲓ̅ⲋ̅ⲫⲏ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲛⲁϩϯ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥϭⲓⲱⲙⲥ ⲉϥ⳿ⲉⲛⲟϩⲉⲙ ⲫⲏ ⲇⲉ ⳿ⲉⲧⲁϥⲉⲣⲁⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ⲥⲉⲛⲁϯϩⲁⲡ ⳿ⲉⲣⲟϥ.
17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
ⲓ̅ⲍ̅ⲛⲁⲓⲙⲏⲓⲛⲓ ⲇⲉ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲙⲟϣⲓ ⳿ⲛⲥⲁ ⲛⲏⲉⲑⲛⲁϩϯ ϧⲉⲛ ⲡⲁⲣⲁⲛ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉϩⲓ ϩⲁⲛⲇⲉⲙⲱⲛ ⳿ⲉⲃⲟⲗ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲥⲁϫⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲁⲥⲡⲓ ⳿ⲛⲗⲁⲥ.
18 they will pick up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them; they will place their hands on the sick, and they will be made well."
ⲓ̅ⲏ̅ⲟⲩⲟϩ ϩⲁⲛϩⲟϥ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉϥⲓⲧⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛ⳿ϧⲣⲏⲓ ϧⲉⲛ ⲛⲟⲩϫⲓϫ ⲕⲁⲛ ⲁⲩϣⲁⲛⲟⲩⲱⲙ ⳿ⲛⲟⲩⲉⲛⲭⲁⲓ ⳿ⲉ⳿ⲫⲙⲟⲩ ⳿ⲛⲛⲉϥⲉⲣ⳿ⲃⲗⲁⲡⲧⲓⲛ ⳿ⲙⲙⲱⲟⲩ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲭⲱ ⳿ⲛⲛⲟⲩϫⲓϫ ⳿ⲉϫⲉⲛ ϩⲁⲛⲟⲩⲟⲛ ⲉⲩϣⲱⲛⲓ ⲟⲩⲟϩ ⲉⲩ⳿ⲉⲟⲩϫⲁⲓ.
19 So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the message by the signs that followed.
