Luke 18
1 He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,
फिर उसने इस ग़रज़ से कि हर वक़्त दुआ करते रहना और हिम्मत हारना न चाहिए, उसने ये मिसाल कही:
2 saying, "There was a judge in a certain city who did not fear God, and did not respect people.
“किसी शहर में एक क़ाज़ी था, न वो ख़ुदा से डरता, न आदमी की कुछ परवा करता था।
3 A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, 'Give me justice against my adversary.'
और उसी शहर में एक बेवा थी, जो उसके पास आकर ये कहा करती थी, 'मेरा इन्साफ़ करके मुझे मुद्द'ई से बचा।
4 He would not for a while, but afterward he said to himself, 'Though I neither fear God, nor respect people,
उसने कुछ 'अरसे तक तो न चाहा, लेकिन आख़िर उसने अपने जी में कहा, 'गरचे मैं न ख़ुदा से डरता और न आदमियों की कुछ परवा करता हूँ।
5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her justice, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.'"
तोभी इसलिए कि ये बेवा मुझे सताती है, मैं इसका इन्साफ़ करूँगा; ऐसा न हो कि ये बार — बार आकर आख़िर को मेरी नाक में दम करे।”
6 The Lord said, "Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
ख़ुदावन्द ने कहा, “सुनो ये बेइन्साफ़ क़ाज़ी क्या कहता है?
7 Won't God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
पस क्या ख़ुदा अपने चुने हुए का इन्साफ़ न करेगा, जो रात दिन उससे फ़रियाद करते हैं?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
मैं तुम से कहता हूँ कि वो जल्द उनका इन्साफ़ करेगा। तोभी जब इब्न — ए — आदम आएगा, तो क्या ज़मीन पर ईमान पाएगा?”
9 He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.
फिर उसने कुछ लोगों से जो अपने पर भरोसा रखते थे, कि हम रास्तबाज़ हैं और बाक़ी आदमियों को नाचीज़ जानते थे, ये मिसाल कही,
10 "Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
“दो शख़्स हैकल में दू'आ करने गए: एक फ़रीसी, दूसरा महसूल लेनेवाला।
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: 'God, I thank you, that I am not like other people, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
फ़रीसी खड़ा होकर अपने जी में यूँ दुआ करने लगा, 'ऐ ख़ुदा मैं तेरा शुक्र करता हूँ कि बाक़ी आदमियों की तरह ज़ालिम, बेइन्साफ़, ज़िनाकार या इस महसूल लेनेवाले की तरह नहीं हूँ।
12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.'
मैं हफ़्ते में दो बार रोज़ा रखता, और अपनी सारी आमदनी पर दसवाँ हिस्सा देता हूँ।”
13 But the tax collector, standing far away, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner.'
“लेकिन महसूल लेने वाले ने दूर खड़े होकर इतना भी न चाहा कि आसमान की तरफ़ आँख उठाए, बल्कि छाती पीट पीट कर कहा ऐ ख़ुदा। मुझ गुनहगार पर रहम कर।”
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."
“मैं तुम से कहता हूँ कि ये शख़्स दूसरे की निस्बत रास्तबाज़ ठहरकर अपने घर गया, क्यूँकि जो कोई अपने आप को बड़ा बनाएगा वो छोटा किया जाएगा और जो अपने आपको छोटा बनाएगा वो बड़ा किया जाएगा।”
15 Now they were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
फिर लोग अपने छोटे बच्चों को भी उसके पास लाने लगे ताकि वो उनको छूए; और शागिर्दों ने देखकर उनको झिड़का।
16 Jesus summoned them, saying, "Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
मगर ईसा ने बच्चों को अपने पास बुलाया और कहा, “बच्चों को मेरे पास आने दो, और उन्हें मनह' न करो; क्यूँकि ख़ुदा की बादशाही ऐसों ही की है।
17 Truly, I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it."
मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ कि जो कोई ख़ुदा की बादशाही को बच्चे की तरह क़ुबूल न करे, वो उसमें हरगिज़ दाख़िल न होगा।”
18 A certain ruler asked him, saying, "Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit everlasting life?" (aiōnios g166)
फिर किसी सरदार ने उससे ये सवाल किया, ऐ उस्ताद! मैं क्या करूँ ताकि हमेशा की ज़िन्दगी का वारिस बनूँ। (aiōnios g166)
19 Jesus asked him, "Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one—God.
ईसा ने उससे कहा, “तू मुझे क्यूँ नेक कहता है? कोई नेक नहीं, मगर एक या'नी ख़ुदा।
20 You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery,' 'Do not murder,' 'Do not steal,' 'Do not give false testimony,' 'Honor your father and your mother.'"
तू हुक्मों को जानता है: ज़िना न कर, ख़ून न कर, चोरी न कर, झूठी गवाही न दे; अपने बाप और माँ की इज़्ज़त कर।”
21 And he said, "I have kept all these things from my youth up."
उसने कहा, मैंने लड़कपन से इन सब पर 'अमल किया है।”
22 When Jesus heard it, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me."
ईसा ने ये सुनकर उससे कहा, “अभी तक तुझ में एक बात की कमी है, अपना सब कुछ बेचकर ग़रीबों को बाँट दे; तुझे आसमान पर ख़ज़ाना मिलेगा, और आकर मेरे पीछे हो ले।”
23 But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.
ये सुन कर वो बहुत ग़मगीन हुआ, क्यूँकि बड़ा दौलतमन्द था।
24 And Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the kingdom of God.
ईसा ने उसको देखकर कहा, “दौलतमन्द का ख़ुदा की बादशाही में दाख़िल होना कैसा मुश्किल है!
25 For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle's eye, than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God."
क्यूँकि ऊँट का सूई के नाके में से निकल जाना इससे आसान है, कि दौलतमन्द ख़ुदा की बादशाही में दाख़िल हो।”
26 Those who heard it said, "Then who can be saved?"
सुनने वालो ने कहा, तो फिर कौन नजात पा सकता है?
27 But he said, "The things which are impossible with man are possible with God."
उसने कहा, “जो इंसान से नहीं हो सकता, वो ख़ुदा से हो सकता है।”
28 And Peter said, "Look, we have left our own things and followed you."
पतरस ने कहा, देख! हम तो अपना घर — बार छोड़कर तेरे पीछे हो लिए हैं।”
29 He said to them, "Truly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
उसने उनसे कहा, “'मैं तुम से सच कहता हूँ, कि ऐसा कोई नहीं जिसने घर या बीवी या भाइयों या माँ बाप या बच्चों को ख़ुदा की बादशाही की ख़ातिर छोड़ दिया हो;
31 He took the twelve aside, and said to them, "Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.
फिर उसने उन बारह को साथ लेकर उनसे कहा, “देखो, हम येरूशलेम को जाते हैं, और जितनी बातें नबियों के ज़रिए लिखी गईं हैं, इब्न — ए — आदम के हक़ में पूरी होंगी।
32 For he will be delivered up to the non-Jews, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.
क्यूँकि वो ग़ैर क़ौम वालों के हवाले किया जाएगा; और लोग उसको ठठ्ठों में उड़ाएँगे और बे'इज़्ज़त करेंगे, और उस पर थूकेंगे,
33 They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again."
और उसको कोड़े मारेंगे और क़त्ल करेंगे और वो तीसरे दिन जी उठेगा।”
34 They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not understand the things that were said.
लेकिन उन्होंने इनमें से कोई बात न समझी, और ये कलाम उन पर छिपा रहा और इन बातों का मतलब उनकी समझ में न आया।
35 It happened, as he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.
जो वो चलते — चलते यरीहू के नज़दीक पहुँचा, तो ऐसा हुआ कि एक अन्धा रास्ते के किनारे बैठा हुआ भीख माँग रहा था।
36 Hearing a crowd going by, he asked what this meant.
वो भीड़ के जाने की आवाज़ सुनकर पूछने लगा, ये क्या हो रहा है?”
37 They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
उन्होंने उसे ख़बर दी, “ईसा नासरी जा रहा है।”
38 He called out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me."
उसने चिल्लाकर कहा, “ऐ ईसा इब्न — ए — दाऊद, मुझ पर रहम कर!”
39 Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me."
जो आगे जाते थे, वो उसको डाँटने लगे कि चुप रह; मगर वो और भी चिल्लाया, “'ऐ इब्न — ए — दा, ऊद, मुझ पर रहम कर!”
40 Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,
'ईसा ने खड़े होकर हुक्म दिया कि उसको मेरे पास ले आओ, जब वो नज़दीक आया तो उसने उससे ये पूंछा।
41 "What do you want me to do?" He said, "Lord, that I may see again."
“तू क्या चाहता है कि मैं तेरे लिए करूँ?” उसने कहा, “ऐ ख़ुदावन्द! मैं देखने लगूं।”
42 Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you."
ईसा ने उससे कहा, “बीना हो जा, तेरे ईमान ने तुझे अच्छा किया,”
43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
वो उसी वक़्त देखने लगा, और ख़ुदा की बड़ाई करता हुआ उसके पीछे हो लिया; और सब लोगों ने देखकर ख़ुदा की तारीफ़ की।
