Lamentations 3
1 I am the man that has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.
ഞാൻ അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ വടികൊണ്ടു കഷ്ടം കണ്ട പുരുഷനാകുന്നു.
2 He has led me and caused me to walk in darkness, and not in light.
അവൻ എന്നെ വെളിച്ചത്തിലല്ല, ഇരുട്ടിലത്രേ നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടു പോന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.
3 Surely against me he turns his hand again and again all the day.
അതേ, അവൻ ഇടവിടാതെ പിന്നെയും പിന്നെയും തന്റെ കൈ എന്റെ നേരെ തിരിക്കുന്നു.
4 My flesh and my skin he has made old; he has broken my bones.
എന്റെ മാംസത്തെയും ത്വക്കിനെയും അവൻ ജീൎണ്ണമാക്കി, എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളെ തകൎത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 He has built against me, and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.
അവൻ എന്റെ നേരെ പണിതു, നഞ്ചും പ്രയാസവും എന്നെ ചുറ്റുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
6 He has made me to dwell in dark places, like those that have been long dead.
ശാശ്വതമൃതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അവൻ എന്നെ ഇരുട്ടിൽ പാൎപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
7 He has walled me in, so I can't escape; he has made my chains heavy.
പുറത്തു പോകുവാൻ കഴിയാതവണ്ണം അവൻ എന്നെ വേലികെട്ടിയടച്ചു എന്റെ ചങ്ങലയെ ഭാരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 Yes, when I cry, and call for help, he shuts out my prayer.
ഞാൻ കൂകി നിലവിളിച്ചാലും അവൻ എന്റെ പ്രാൎത്ഥന തടുത്തുകളയുന്നു.
9 He has walled up my ways with cut stone; he has made my paths crooked.
വെട്ടുകല്ലുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ എന്റെ വഴി അടെച്ചു, എന്റെ പാതകളെ വികടമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
10 He is to me as a bear lying in wait, as a lion in hiding.
അവൻ എനിക്കു പതിയിരിക്കുന്ന കരടിയെപ്പോലെയും മറഞ്ഞുനില്ക്കുന്ന സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെയും ആകുന്നു.
11 He has obstructed my path, and torn me in pieces; he has made me desolate.
അവൻ എന്റെ വഴികളെ തെറ്റിച്ചു എന്നെ കടിച്ചുകീറി ശൂന്യമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
12 He has bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.
അവൻ വില്ലു കുലെച്ചു എന്നെ അമ്പിന്നു ലാക്കാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
13 He has caused the arrows of his quiver to pierce my inward parts.
അവൻ തന്റെ പൂണിയിലെ അമ്പുകളെ എന്റെ അന്തരംഗങ്ങളിൽ തറെപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
14 I have become a laughingstock to all peoples, and their song all the day.
ഞാൻ എന്റെ സൎവ്വജനത്തിന്നും പരിഹാസവും ഇടവിടാതെ അവരുടെ പാട്ടും ആയിത്തീൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 He has filled me with bitterness, he has given me in full measure wormwood.
അവൻ എന്നെ കൈപ്പുകൊണ്ടു നിറെച്ചു, കാഞ്ഞിരംകൊണ്ടു മത്തുപിടിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
16 He has also broken my teeth with gravel; he has pressed me down in the dust.
അവൻ കല്ലുകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ പല്ലു തകൎത്തു, എന്നെ വെണ്ണീരിൽ ഇട്ടുരുട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
17 You have removed my soul far away from peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.
നീ എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ സമാധാനത്തിൽനിന്നു നീക്കി; ഞാൻ സുഖം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
18 And I said, "My strength and my hope has perished from Jehovah."
എന്റെ മഹത്വവും യഹോവയിങ്കലുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രത്യാശയും പൊയ്പോയല്ലോ എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
19 Remember my affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
നീ എന്റെ കഷ്ടതയും അരിഷ്ടതയും കാഞ്ഞിരവും കൈപ്പും ഓൎക്കേണമേ.
20 My soul considers them, and is depressed.
എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ എപ്പോഴും അവയെ ഓൎത്തു ഉരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
21 But this I call to my mind; therefore I have hope:
ഇതു ഞാൻ ഓൎക്കും; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശിക്കും.
22 Jehovah's faithful love does not cease; his compassion does not fail.
നാം മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകാതിരിക്കുന്നതു യഹോവയുടെ ദയ ആകുന്നു; അവന്റെ കരുണ തീൎന്നു പോയിട്ടില്ലല്ലോ;
23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
അതു രാവിലെതോറും പുതിയതും നിന്റെ വിശ്വസ്ഥത വലിയതും ആകുന്നു.
24 "Jehovah is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."
യഹോവ എന്റെ ഓഹരി എന്നു എന്റെ ഉള്ളം പറയുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവനിൽ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുന്നു.
25 Jehovah is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him.
തന്നെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവൎക്കും തന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവന്നും യഹോവ നല്ലവൻ.
26 It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Jehovah.
യഹോവയുടെ രക്ഷെക്കായി മിണ്ടാതെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke while he is young.
ബാല്യത്തിൽ നുകം ചുമക്കുന്നതു ഒരു പുരുഷന്നു നല്ലതു.
28 Let him sit alone and keep silence when he is disciplining him.
അവൻ അതു അവന്റെ മേൽ വെച്ചിരിക്ക കൊണ്ടു അവൻ തനിച്ചു മൌനം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.
29 Let him put his mouth to the dust, there may yet be hope.
അവൻ തന്റെ മുഖത്തെ പൊടിയോളം താഴ്ത്തട്ടെ; പക്ഷെ പ്രത്യാശ ശേഷിക്കും.
30 Let him give his cheek to him who strikes him; let him be filled with insults.
തന്നെ അടിക്കുന്നവന്നു അവൻ കവിൾ കാണിക്കട്ടെ; അവൻ വേണ്ടുവോളം നിന്ദ അനുഭവിക്കട്ടെ.
31 For Jehovah will not reject forever.
കൎത്താവു എന്നേക്കും തള്ളിക്കളകയില്ലല്ലോ.
32 For though he may cause grief, yet he will have compassion according to the abundance of his loving kindness.
അവൻ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചാലും തന്റെ മഹാദയെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്നു കരുണതോന്നും.
33 For he is not predisposed to bring affliction or suffering to human beings.
മനസ്സോടെയല്ലല്ലോ അവൻ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചു വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നതു.
34 To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth;
ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും കാല്കീഴിട്ടു മെതിക്കുന്നതും
35 to deprive a man of justice before the face of the Most High,
അത്യുന്നതന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ മനുഷ്യന്റെ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും
36 to subvert a man in his cause, Jehovah does not approve.
മനുഷ്യനെ വ്യവഹാരത്തിൽ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും കൎത്താവു കാണുകയില്ലയോ?
37 Who can speak a thing and have it come to pass, unless Jehovah has commanded it?
കൎത്താവു കല്പിക്കാതെ ആർ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടാകുന്നു വല്ലതും സംഭവിക്കുന്നതു?
38 Doesn't both calamity and good come out of the mouth of the Most High?
അത്യുന്നതന്റെ വായിൽനിന്നു നന്മയും തിന്മയും പുറപ്പെടുന്നില്ലയോ?
39 Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?
മനുഷ്യൻ ജീവനുള്ളന്നു നെടുവീൎപ്പിടുന്നതെന്തു? ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു നെടുവീൎപ്പിടട്ടെ.
40 Let us examine and search our ways, and return to Jehovah.
നാം നമ്മുടെ നടപ്പു ആരാഞ്ഞു ശോധന ചെയ്തു യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കലേക്കു തിരിയുക.
41 Let us lift up our heart with our hands to God in the heavens.
നാം കൈകളെയും ഹൃദയത്തെയും സ്വൎഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ ദൈവത്തിങ്കലേക്കു ഉയൎത്തുക.
42 We have transgressed and have rebelled, and you have not forgiven.
ഞങ്ങൾ അതിക്രമം ചെയ്തു മത്സരിച്ചു; നീ ക്ഷമിച്ചതുമില്ല.
43 You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you killed without sparing.
നീ കോപം പുതെച്ചു ഞങ്ങളെ പിന്തുടൎന്നു, കരുണകൂടാതെ കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
44 You have covered yourself with a cloud, so that no prayer can pass through.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രാൎത്ഥന കടക്കാതവണ്ണം നീ മേഘംകൊണ്ടു നിന്നെത്തന്നേ മറെച്ചു.
45 You have made us rubbish and refuse in the midst of the peoples.
നീ ഞങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ചവറും എച്ചിലും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
46 All our enemies have opened their mouth wide against us.
ഞങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളൊക്കെയും ഞങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ വായ്പിളൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
47 Fear and the pit have come on us, devastation and destruction.
പേടിയും കണിയും ശൂന്യവും നാശവും ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
48 Streams of tears run down from my eyes because of the destruction of the daughter of my people.
എന്റെ ജനത്തിൻപുത്രിയുടെ നാശം നിമിത്തം നീൎത്തോടുകൾ എന്റെ കണ്ണിൽനിന്നൊഴുകുന്നു.
49 My tears flow and do not cease, without respite,
യഹോവ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു നോക്കി കടാക്ഷിക്കുവോളം
50 until Jehovah looks down and sees from heaven.
എന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇടവിടാതെ പൊഴിക്കുന്നു; ഇളെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
51 My eyes bring my soul grief, because of all the daughters of my city.
എന്റെ നഗരത്തിലെ സകലസ്ത്രീജനത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു എന്റെ കണ്ണു എന്റെ പ്രാണനെ വ്യസനിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
52 They have chased me relentlessly like a bird, those who are my enemies without cause.
കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായവർ എന്നെ ഒരു പക്ഷിയെപ്പോലെ വേട്ടയാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
53 They have cut off my life in a pit, and have cast a stone on me.
അവർ എന്റെ ജീവനെ കുണ്ടറയിൽ ഇട്ടു നശിപ്പിച്ചു, എന്റെ മേൽ കല്ലു എറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
54 Waters flowed over my head; I said, 'I am finished.'
വെള്ളം എന്റെ തലെക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി; ഞാൻ നശിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
55 I called on your name, Jehovah, out of the depths of the pit.
യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ ആഴമുള്ള കുണ്ടറയിൽനിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
56 You heard my voice; do not hide your ear at my sighs, to my cry.
എന്റെ നെടുവീൎപ്പിന്നും എന്റെ നിലവിളിക്കും ചെവി പൊത്തിക്കളയരുതേ എന്നുള്ള എന്റെ പ്രാൎത്ഥന നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
57 You drew near in the day that I called on you; you said, "Do not be afraid."
ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ച നാളിൽ നീ അടുത്തുവന്നു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
58 Jehovah, you have taken up the case for my soul; you have redeemed my life.
കൎത്താവേ, നീ എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം നടത്തി, എന്റെ ജീവനെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
59 You have seen, Jehovah, the wrong done to me; judge my case.
യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അനുഭവിച്ച അന്യായം നീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ വ്യവഹാരം തീൎത്തുതരേണമേ.
60 You have seen all their vengeance and all their plots against me.
അവർ ചെയ്ത സകലപ്രതികാരവും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും നീ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
61 You have heard their insults, Jehovah, and all their plots against me.
യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ നിന്ദയും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള അവരുടെ സകലനിരൂപണങ്ങളും
62 The lips of those that rose up against me, and their plots against me all day long.
എന്റെ എതിരികളുടെ വാക്കുകളും ഇടവിടാതെ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായുള്ള നിനവും നീ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
63 Look their sitting down, and their rising up; I am their mocking song.
അവരുടെ ഇരിപ്പും എഴുന്നേല്പും നോക്കേണമേ; ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പാട്ടായിരിക്കുന്നു.
64 You will render to them what they deserve, Jehovah, according to the work of their hands.
യഹോവേ, അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം അവൎക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യേണമേ;
65 You will give them hardness of heart as your curse to them.
നീ അവൎക്കു ഹൃദയകാഠിന്യം വരുത്തും; നിന്റെ ശാപം അവൎക്കു വരട്ടെ.
66 You will pursue them in anger, and destroy them from under the heavens of Jehovah.
നീ അവരെ കോപത്തോടെ പിന്തുടൎന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ ആകാശത്തിൻ കീഴിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.
