Joshua 18
1 The whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled themselves together at Shiloh, and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The land was subdued before them.
അനന്തരം യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ സഭ മുഴുവനും ശീലോവിൽ ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടി അവിടെ സമാഗമനകൂടാരം നിൎത്തി; ദേശം അവൎക്കു കീഴടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.
2 Seven tribes remained among the children of Israel, which had not yet divided their inheritance.
എന്നാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളിൽ അവകാശം ഭാഗിച്ചു കിട്ടാതിരുന്ന ഏഴു ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ശേഷിച്ചിരുന്നു.
3 Joshua said to the children of Israel, "How long will you neglect to go in to possess the land, which Jehovah, the God of your fathers, has given you?
യോശുവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തന്നിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ പോകുന്നതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എത്രത്തോളം മടിച്ചിരിക്കും?
4 Appoint for you three men of each tribe. I will send them, and they shall arise, walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance; and they shall come to me.
ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു മുമ്മൂന്നു പേരെ നിയമിപ്പിൻ; ഞാൻ അവരെ അയക്കും; അവർ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു തങ്ങൾക്കു അവകാശം കിട്ടേണ്ടുംപ്രകാരം കണ്ടെഴുതി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവരേണം.
5 They shall divide it into seven portions. Judah shall live in his borders on the south, and the house of Joseph shall live in their borders on the north.
അതു ഏഴു പങ്കായി ഭാഗിക്കേണം: യെഹൂദാ തന്റെ അതിൎക്കകത്തു തെക്കു പാൎത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; യോസേഫിന്റെ കുലവും തന്റെ അതിൎക്കകത്തു വടക്കു പാൎത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.
6 You shall survey the land into seven parts, and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah our God.
അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ ദേശം ഏഴുഭാഗമായി കണ്ടെഴുതി ഇവിടെ എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ. ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിടും.
7 For the Levites have no portion among you; for the priesthood of Jehovah is their inheritance. Gad, Reuben, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of Jehovah gave them."
ലേവ്യൎക്കു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഓഹരി ഇല്ലല്ലോ; യഹോവയുടെ പൌരോഹിത്യം അവരുടെ അവകാശം ആകുന്നു; ഗാദും രൂബേനും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പാതിഗോത്രവും യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശെ അവൎക്കു കൊടുത്തിട്ടുള്ള അവകാശം യോൎദ്ദാന്നു കിഴക്കു വാങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
8 The men arose and went. Joshua commanded those who went to survey the land, saying, "Go walk through the land, survey it, and come again to me. I will cast lots for you here before Jehovah in Shiloh."
അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ യാത്ര പുറപ്പെട്ടു; ദേശം കണ്ടെഴുതുവാൻ പോയവരോടു യോശുവ: നിങ്ങൾ ചെന്നു ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു കണ്ടെഴുതുകയും ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ശീലോവിൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിടേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവരികയും ചെയ്‌വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
9 The men went and passed through the land, and surveyed it by cities into seven portions on a scroll. They came to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.
അവർ പോയി ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടന്നു നഗരവിവരത്തോടുകൂടെ ഒരു പുസ്തകത്തിൽ അതു ഏഴു ഭാഗമായി എഴുതി ശീലോവിൽ യോശുവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പാളയത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നു.
10 Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before Jehovah. There Joshua divided the land to the children of Israel according to their divisions.
അപ്പോൾ യോശുവ ശീലോവിൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു അവൎക്കു വേണ്ടി ചീട്ടിട്ടു; അവിടെവെച്ചു യോശുവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കു ഗോത്രവിഭാഗ പ്രകാരം ദേശം വിഭാഗിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
11 The lot of the tribe of the descendants of Benjamin came up according to their families. The border of their lot went out between the descendants of Judah and the descendants of Joseph.
ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി നറുക്കു വന്നു; അവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ അതിർ യെഹൂദയുടെ മക്കളുടെയും യോസേഫിന്റെ മക്കളുടെയും മദ്ധ്യേ കിടക്കുന്നു.
12 Their border on the north quarter was from the Jordan. The border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward. It ended at the wilderness of Beth Aven.
വടക്കുഭാഗത്തു അവരുടെ വടക്കെ അതിർ യോൎദ്ദാങ്കൽ തുടങ്ങി വടക്കു യെരീഹോവിന്റെ പാൎശ്വംവരെ ചെന്നു പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു മലനാട്ടിൽകൂടി കയറി ബേത്ത്-ആവെൻ മരുഭൂമിയിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.
13 The border passed along from there to Luz, to the side of Luz (that is, Bethel), southward. The border went down to Ataroth Addar, by the mountain that lies on the south of Lower Beth Horon.
അവിടെനിന്നു ആ അതിർ ബേഥേൽ എന്ന ലൂസിന്റെ തെക്കുവശംവരെ കടന്നു താഴത്തെ ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള മലവഴിയായി അതെരോത്ത്-അദാരിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങുന്നു.
14 The border extended, and turned around on the west quarter southward, from the mountain that lies before Beth Horon southward; and ended at Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), a city of the descendants of Judah. This was the west quarter.
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ വളഞ്ഞു പടിഞ്ഞാറെ വശത്തു ബേത്ത്-ഹോരോന്നു എതിരെയുള്ള മലമുതൽ തെക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ പട്ടണമായ കിൎയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന കിൎയ്യത്ത്-ബാലയിങ്കൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു തന്നെ പടിഞ്ഞാറെഭാഗം
15 The south quarter was from the farthest part of Kiriath Jearim. The border went out westward, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.
തെക്കെഭാഗം കിൎയ്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിന്റെ അറ്റത്തു തുടങ്ങി പടിഞ്ഞാറോട്ടു നെപ്തോഹവെള്ളത്തിന്റെ ഉറവുവരെ ചെല്ലുന്നു.
16 The border went down to the farthest part of the mountain that lies before the Valley of Ben Hinnom, which is in the Valley of Rephaim northward. It went down to the Valley of Hinnom, to the slope of the Jebusites southward, and went down to En Rogel.
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോം താഴ്‌വരക്കെതിരെയും രെഫായീംതാഴ്‌വരയുടെ വടക്കുവശത്തും ഉള്ള മലയുടെ അറ്റംവരെ ചെന്നു ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്‌വരയിൽ കൂടി തെക്കോട്ടു യെബൂസ്യപൎവ്വതത്തിന്റെ പാൎശ്വംവരെയും ഏൻ-രോഗേൽവരെയും ഇറങ്ങി
17 It extended northward, went out at En Shemesh, and went out to Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim. It went down to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben.
വടക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു ഏൻ-ശേമെശിലേക്കും അദുമ്മീംകയറ്റത്തിന്നെതിരെയുള്ള ഗെലീലോത്തിലേക്കും ചെന്നു രൂബേന്റെ മകനായ ബോഹാന്റെ കല്ലുവരെ ഇറങ്ങി
18 And it passed on to the north to the shoulder of Beth Arabah, and went down to the Arabah.
അരാബെക്കെതിരെയുള്ള മലഞ്ചരിവിലേക്കു കടന്നു അരാബയിലേക്കു ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.
19 The border passed along to the side of Beth Hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This was the south border.
പിന്നെ ആ അതിർ വടക്കോട്ടു ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ലയുടെ മലഞ്ചരിവുവരെ കടന്നു തെക്കു യോൎദ്ദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖത്തു ഉപ്പുകടലിന്റെ വടക്കെ അറ്റത്തു അവസാനിക്കുന്നു.
20 The Jordan was its border on the east quarter. This was the inheritance of the descendants of Benjamin, by the borders around it, according to their families.
ഇതു തെക്കെ അതിർ. അതിന്റെ കിഴക്കെ അതിർ യോൎദ്ദാൻ ആകുന്നു; ഇതു ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള അതിരുകൾ.
21 Now the cities of the tribe of the descendants of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, and Beth Hoglah, and Emek Keziz,
എന്നാൽ ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രത്തിന്നു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ: യെരീഹോ, ബേത്ത്-ഹൊഗ്ല, ഏമെക്-കെസീസ്,
22 and Beth Arabah, and Zemaraim, and Bethel,
ബേത്ത്-അരാബ, സെമാറയീം, ബേഥേൽ,
23 and Avvim, and Parah, and Ophrah,
അവ്വീം, പാര, ഒഫ്ര,
24 and Chephar Ammoni, and Ophni, and Geba; twelve cities with their villages.
കെഫാർ-അമ്മോനീ, ഒഫ്നി, ഗേബ; ഇങ്ങനെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;
25 Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
ഗിബെയോൻ, രാമ, ബേരോത്ത്,
26 and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,
മിസ്പെ, കെഫീര, മോസ,
27 and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,
രേക്കെം, യിൎപ്പേൽ, തരല,
28 and Zelah, Haeleph, and Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), and Gibeath, and Kiriath Jearim; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the descendants of Benjamin according to their families.
സേല, ഏലെഫ്, യെരൂശാലേം എന്ന യെബൂസ്യനഗരം, ശിബെയത്ത്, കിൎയ്യത്ത്; ഇങ്ങനെ പതിന്നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഇതു ബെന്യാമീൻ മക്കൾക്കു കുടുംബംകുടുംബമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശം.
